12 Compartment Plastic Organizer Box for Less Than 3 Dollars!

12 Compartment Plastic Organizer Box

I found these 12 fixed-compartment plastic organizers over at Amazon, and they’re very decently made. These boxes are unbranded and are packaged in a nondescript paper sleeve. The best part is how inexpensive they are at the moment – less than $3 per box!

I ordered one as a sample, but liked it so much that I ordered 5 more. The colors of the boxes vary between the 6, with 4 being white/clear, and 2 being slightly yellowed off-white.

For organizing tools, hardware, and small components, I have plenty of high quality Schaller plastic bins and boxes, Akro-Mils bins, Stanley 25 compartment organizers in use. Still, I am in need of inexpensive parts organizers for temporary storage, such as for when building this 1300 pc Lego Technic Supercar next weekend, and these bins seem to fit the bill perfectly.

What I would really prefer are far better plastic organizer boxes of this size that have lockable lids, rounded easy-scoop compartments, movable dividers, and other such user-friendly features. But, those types of organizers easily cost $8-15 each.

The online part number is T602, and the sticker on the boxes’ sleeves say POB-12F. I have searched but am unable to figure out who makes these or where they’re made.

Edit: Thanks to Mitch for finding out that these are made by Flambeau!

Edit2: It looks like Small Parts/Amazon has sold out of these for the time being.

I don’t have one in front of me at the moment, but from memory the organizers are maybe 10″ long and 6″ wide? I will make a note to measure them later.

JC, I haven’t been to Walmart in ages, and never come across parts organizers for this cheap, not even from specialty plastics distributors.

The next cheapest ones I’ve found are sold by US Plastic Corp, and at $5.70, they’re still more than double the price!

I found a 12″x8″x1.5″-ish adjustable small parts box for < $5 at home depot. I can not find it online but the company name on the box is Rimax. Made in Columbia!

It was _way_ cheaper than all the small parts boxes on McMaster.

Update: the boxes are about 10-3/4″ long, 6-1/2″ wide, and 1-3/4″ tall.

    Mitch, you’re awesome, thanks!

The lowest price I can find for these is $6.13 for 1, $5.23 for 25+, and $4.14 for 1000+ quantities via Mouser.

They’re pretty cheap to nab but how’s the quality? I had one that broke in a week because the plastic was actually brittle. (They cold stored it)
