I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because…
It would be nice to give them to my father-in-law-to-be as his health has improved as of late and he can now enjoy working on things again.

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because he was recently laid off from his second job in 2 years (one of which moved production overseas) and has been using this “down” time to complete his “honey-do” list around the house. He is using tools that were collected over the years from dollar bins and discount stores just to get the job done. He deserves to have some high quality American-made tools so he can see the difference.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because I am a HUGE fan of Channellock and all of their products. I am quickly replacing all of my existing pliers (also discount store brand) with those blue-handled beauties because I want to support a company that sells tools at a reasonable price and refuses to manufacture overseas. I have read nothing but good things about the V-jaw and I am sure they would make a great addition to my toolbox.

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because he is always needing better tools. I always try to help him with projects and he has a lack of quality American made tools. Also with the way that the economy is right now he recently lost his job as a sub contractor for a custom home builder. So my dad should receive these pliers as a fathers day gift

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because the only pliers that currently I own are import trash and I’m constantly being told how superior US made tools, and specifically channellock pliers are.

I would love to win that set of channel locks and also have a set to give to my dad.
I get my tool addiction from him anyway

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because, he has worked tirelessly for over 45 years to be a provider for all of us. During the toughest times there has always been food on the table, a roof over our heads, and cloths on our backs all because of him. Our family has recently lost two of the most loved people in our family my brother and mother, even through all this he is working to provide. This would be a small gesture to someone who has given, and never taken.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because they have helped me complete almost every job since day one! They are unmatched in terms of quality, durability, and over all fit and finish. Receiving this new set would help me complete my next project in the most enjoyable way. Bottom line I appreciate quality and have bought Channellock for more than 25 years so it would be great to complete my set.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because I am currently using a cheap set with missing handles that can get rather painful when gripping the bare metal.

  8. Eric

    Jun 3, 2010

I would like to win the Channellock sets to replace the cheap set in my box with an American made set.

My FIL needs a set to update his box as well.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because I currently do not own a set of Channellocks. I’ve been collecting tools for years and oddly enough I don’t have a set.
The second set I would give to my som who is currently finishing his Air Force tech school for industrial construction. I’ve been slowly buying him his own set of tools and these would make a great addition.

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because, he has a set of those stupid Robo Grip pliers and rounds everything off with them. He really needs to be shown the light.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because, I just don’t own any adjustable pliers and really need a set.

I want to win the channellock pliers, because:
    1. I’m a regular reader of your blog,
    2. I’m from Belgium and want to have some foreign (US) tools so I can feel connected to my US-gearhead-brothers.
    3. I’ve never used channellock but hearded so much about them, that I’m keen to try.
    3. Me want the precious….!

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because he gave me one his sets of Channellock pliers when I first started in the trades as an apprentice. It would be nice to replace that set for him after all these years.

  14. Eric B

    Jun 3, 2010

My dad deserves to win a Channelock V-jaw pliers set because he gave me his nice Channelocks when I first started building my tool collection. Money was tight, so he bought himself a cheap pair of chinese made knock-offs, and has never replaced those cheap things even though they are rusty and the chrome plating is flaking off.

  15. Kevin

    Jun 3, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because he’s always loaning his tools out and doing jobs for others in the family. I think he would really appreciate this cool plier set to replenish his ever dwindling tool kit.

  16. Bill Strobel

    Jun 4, 2010

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because I’m tired of busting my knuckles using the cheap set of pliers I bought at the Dollar Store.

  17. Gwen Lipa

    Jun 4, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because his daughters like to take his tools to help him fix whatever it is that is broken. I really liked his shiny knipex and bahco pliers so he gave them to me. My sister liked his SK and craftsman channelocks so he gave them to her and now he does not have any to use next time the land rover breaks down (and it will). If you give my father these pliers I promise we will not take them from him.

  18. Eric

    Jun 4, 2010

My Father in law deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because…he finally got the last of 5 girls out of the house and can finally start expanding his limited tool collection and get back to working in the garage.

  19. John

    Jun 4, 2010

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because… I am a tool addict.

  20. Ken Burns

    Jun 4, 2010

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because I don’t have any of the V-Jaw Channellocks even though I have a fairly complete set of the straight jaw pliers. Channellocks are made in the good ole USA too!

  21. Keith

    Jun 4, 2010

I would like to win the two sets to give to my sons. It would be kind of a reverse of Fathers Day, but what the heck, they can’t afford to buy tools for themselves with the jobs they have and they have a hard time buying me anything as well.

  22. Jimmy

    Jun 4, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because I lost/damaged plenty of his tools when I was a boy, yet he continued to let me use his tools because he knew working on bikes, cars, whatever made me happy. Now that I’ve grown up, I am slowly rebuilding his tool set for him, and some nice Channellocks are still missing pieces of the puzzle.

  23. Doug Myers

    Jun 7, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because…
…we often work in the garage together and we tend to be more like Paul jr and sr from OCC. I want to give him these pliers for fathers day to tell him that we may not always agree in the shop but I appreciate him being there.

  24. Ralph

    Jun 7, 2010

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because I just got a new toolbox and I need more tools to fill it up…especially U.S. tools.

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because… he spends too much time and money at Harbor Freight. He should know what it’s like to use a high quality American made tool.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because… I spend too much time and money at Harbor Freight. I’d like to know what it’s like to have a tool not brake after a few times use.

  27. rob

    Jun 9, 2010

I want the channel locks because well what guy doesn’t want more tools first off…..RIGHT? Secondly it’d sure beat the heck out of my cheap channel locks I bought at my local hardware store sale asile. Plus, the blue handles are COOL! 🙂

  28. James Avery

    Jun 9, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because he is my hero. This man has done more car restorations and home projects with his 30 plus years old Channellock pliers than you could imagine. After 30 plus years of use he is due an new pair.

  29. Craig M.

    Jun 9, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because…as a kid lost so many of his tools I will never be able to repay him; Not that we can even figure out what is gone at this point.

I usually buy him tools every fathers day, this would help supplement the tools he’ll be getting.

  31. Peter Briggs

  32. Cliff McNeill

    Jun 9, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because… he is still using the same set he has had for the past 40 years. They will probably last another 40 years but I bet he would like to open his tool box and see a nice shiny new set too.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because… I have never had a new set. Again I am not complaining about my old Channellocks, they have never failed me, but nice to get a something new once in a while. Might even share them with my grandson!

  33. Richard

    Jun 9, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-Jaws pliers set because he is now 82 and thin skinned. While he is still very strong and loves to work on old boats with plenty of rusted bolts, he insists on buying cheap tools that slip off the fasteners. This would literally save a lot of bloodshed.

  34. Kevin

    Jun 9, 2010

I want to win a Channellock V-Jaw plier set because my dad who passed away in February of 2008 gave me his Channellock 460 model pliers. These would be a perfect set to sit next to by dad’s old big blues. I have 2 daughters so maybe when they get married and a long time down the road I could pass on something blue to my son-in-law.

    Thanks
    Kevin

  35. Bill Fellner

    Jun 9, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because I have slowly been giving him good tools even though my family is worried at what this not so handy man will do with them. His current set of channel locks keep slipping the spacing channels. He will get it in place then use a small pair of vice grips to lock it in the channel. This configuration didn’t work out do well when he was trying to fix a toilet leak so he epoxied the toilet to the floor! Maybe I would have had an easier time fixing the toilet if he had a good pair of channel locks, epoxy doesn’t come up easily! I know, I know… I could write a weekly article with stories of his handiness. But it seems to go better with good tools rather than jury rigged ones 🙂

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because i have turned him on to high quality american made tools….he has seen the light and if he gets these hell never touch a pair of cheapo pliers again!!!!!!!!

  37. John Battey

    Jun 10, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because…

he’s the reason I’m into tools and working in construction. I must have “borrowed” dozens of tools from his box growing up. It would be nice to return a couple pairs of pliers.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because…

you can never have enough pairs of Channellocks in different sizes. I like to keep pairs in each of my tool kits for electrical, plumbing, automotive, a small box in my truck, etc. It’s also good to see a company like Channellock maintain production facilities in the USA – something a lot of companies can’t say anymore unfortunately.

My dad deserves to win a set of pliars, because he has been working on my grandparents old house, to get it liveable for us, before our current house has to go. He’s been unemployed for a few years now, his job dissapeared as the customers went bankrupt, and i belive a set of pliars for a fathers day gift, might make him a little happier.

I want to win a Channellock V-Jaw pliers set because I LOVE USA made Channellock products.

  40. Ron Palone

    Jun 10, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because he risked his life to put a roof over our heads…twice. He is currently in the ICU with a broken neck, broken skull, and broken back. A few days ago he had his halo that holds his neck steady removed. He IS recovering to a degree, but the future is uncertain. My dad fell after the ladder he was using collapsed while servicing a sign, roughly 6.5 feet off the ground. He fell straight on his head and the fact that he is breathing is a miracle. In 1993 he also fell almost 20 feet off the ground out of a bucket truck servicing another sign. He was not expected to live but after weeks in a coma and years of rehab he made it, even though it left his left arm paralyzed and he had terrible nerve pain. This SECOND accident is a HUGE blow to our family and it tears me up to see my mother so worried. She had to get a job on the evening shift and I’ll never forget her crying because she wouldn’t be able to see her kids anymore. For anyone reading this, please say a prayer for my father. I love him more than anything on this earth and he is the reason I work my hardest. Dad if I could talk to you, I would apologize for not being there to catch you. This is a reason to buy well made tools people. Anything less than the best can change your life when you least expect it.

  42. Jamie

    Jun 10, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because… I am putting together a neat kit of old tools for fathers day, and it would be nice to add some new USA shine.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because… ooo shiny!

  43. Chris

    Jun 10, 2010

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because I need a set of good pliers to put in my new tool box. I currently don’t own a decent set and the ones I have are ready for the trash

  44. John Lopez

    Jun 10, 2010

My Father-in-law deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because…as a new homeowner he has helped me with many questions and problems that I’ve encountered as a new homeowner. Everything from electrical problems, A/C problems, plumbing problems and helping me build shelves in my garage. Growing up my dad wasn’t in my life so without my father-in-law I’d be lost. My roof would still be leaking, my water heater wouldn’t be working and my with summer around the corner my A/C wouldn’t be working. Thanks to him I’ve learned a lot and my house is looking better and better. I’m very fortunate to have him.

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because…as a new homeowner I’m always using tools around the house and one tool I’m missing is a quality set of Channel Locks. Mostly I want to win these Channel Locks for my father-in-law.

  45. Zach Reese

    Jun 11, 2010

My Dad deserves to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because he IS “Mr. Fixit” and what would Mr. Fixit be without V-jaw pliers? Mr. Nogrip? I think so…

I want to win a Channellock V-jaw pliers set because as a plumber Channellocks are my life, they are my work, they are my play, they are me. I know that a big thing to say about a simple pair of adjustable tongue and groove pliers but it is true. I don’t go anywhere or do anything without them.

  46. Pat

    Jun 11, 2010

I’d like a new set of Channellock V-jaws because on my current China made set the joint slips every time I squeeze down on something. The curse words that typically ensue are not appreciated by my wife.

My step-father deserves a set because if I only won 1 pair, I was going to give my current set to him. With the second set I could put my current set where they belong, in the garbage.

  47. Todd J Lorenz
