Black Friday is over and Cyber Monday is just ahead of us. Things have started to slow down, and as I usually do every year, I peeked at our affiliate reports to see what readers are buying (and what they’re not).
Looking at what readers have been buying – don’t worry, it’s anonymous, I only see “what” and “how many” and not “by whom” – helps me to understand what regulars are interested in.
But really, I mainly check the reports to see if there are any other good tool deals I should also be buying. I can only look over the deal lists so much, and often there are still plenty of great tool discounts that are buried or otherwise hard to find.

In this post are links to a bunch of tool deals that readers have been buying from Amazon. Maybe something catches your attention, or maybe not – let me know!
Prices (where included) are accurate at the time of this posting.
Leatherman FREE T2 Multi-Tool – $34.96
This deal’s been more popular than I would have thought, perhaps due to the ~$35 price point?
Dewalt 40pc Impact Screwdriver Bit Set – $19.99
Dewalt Bit Holders with Magnetic Drive Guide – $8.99
Anker 100W 3-Port USB Charger – $45.99
Advertisement
This looks like a potential upgrade to my current charger.
Anker 65W 3-Port USB Charger – $29.99
I bought this one – and love it. I’m also considering the 100W charger to potentially replace my laptop’s power brick. But if I had to pick just one, it would be my 65W charger due to its compact size and lower price point, although I don’t and wouldn’t use it for my laptop.
At first they looked a bit tacticool to me, but the beefy tips might last longer than my last splinter tweezers.
Fluke Outlet Tester with GFCI – $14.97
Klein Tools Outlet Tester with GFCI
Irwin Wire Strippers – $10.99
Olight Arkfeld Pro Rechargeable LED Flashlight – $69.99
I’m all good with pliers now, but these grips look nice for otherwise basic pliers.
Kershaw Misdirect Pocket Knife
I’m not a fan of assisted openers, but that looks like a fine choice for under $20.
Tekton 3/8″ Drive Ratchet with Composite Handle
You’d choose this for its warmer feel in colder temperatures. It might also be non-marring. It looks compact, too – I might need to get one as well. The other sizes are also on sale.
Dewalt Impact-Ready Right Angle Attachment – $19.99
Bosch 5pc Hex Shank Countersink Drill Bit Set
Drill, countersink, or counterbore in one step. Drills like this come in handy when using flathead screws in wood.
Streamlight Bandit Pro LED Headlamp
This model looks like it’ll be very light on one’s head.
Streamlight MicroStream USB Rechargeable Flashlight
I bought one with a previous deal too – it’s a great pencil! Apparently the 600 series ballpoint pen is also on sale.
Knipex 3pc Top Selling Pliers Set
This doesn’t look appreciably discounted to me, but you guys definitely have great taste!
Dremel 11pc Carving and Engraving Rotary Tool Bit Set – $10.98
I’ve already got plenty of rotary tool accessories – mostly-Dremel branded – or I’d get in on this deal too. Wait, do I already have enough carving burrs?
Klein 11-in-1 Multi-Bit Screwdriver
Jorgensen Mini Block Plane
Anker Power Bank Power Station with Lighting
That looks like a really good find! The pop-up lantern-style light seems neat, maybe I’ll get one in the other color.
Fluke VoltAlert Non-Contact Voltage Tester
Anker 6-Port USB Prime Charger – $55.99
Energizer X400 Rechargeable LED Penlight – $8
Olight Oclip Mini EDC Flashlight – $23.99
Tiny and Functional! Good choice.
Klein Tools Wire Stripper (10-18 AWG solid, 12-20 AWG stranded)
Bosch GLM100-23 100ft Laser Distance Measuring Tool
The price dropped by another couple of dollars?! Sweet – if you didn’t get one already, take a closer look.
Klein Classic Klaw Pump Pliers
Gator Magnetic Hooks 4-Pack
I use these in my workshop and have been very pleased with them.
Dremel 160pc Rotary Tool Set with EZ Lock and Standard Accessories
Klein Multi-Bit Ratcheting Screwdriver
These don’t look to be discounted right now. I have the same ones! I also splurge on tool kit upgrades this time of year, not everything has to be on sale.
Bosch 12″ Axial Glide Miter Saw
Awesome saw! The 10″ is no longer on sale at Amazon, but it is at Acme Tools. The 10″ model isn’t much smaller or lighter – I think I’d go with the 12″, and I plan to one day when I can fit a miter saw station in my workshop.
Foldable Magnetic Parts Tray 3pc Set
I’m not familiar with the brand, but this set is much less expensive than Craftsman’s 3pc set.
Rockwell Oscillating Multi-Tool Saw Blade
I don’t think I have ever seen that blade shape before!
Civivi Baby Banter Folding Knife – $50.40
Gearwrench 84pc Master Hex and Torx Bit and Socket Set
Civivi Elementum II Folding Knife with Damascus Blade and Carbon Fiber Handle
The other deal sold out, here’s another color option. There’s also one with a gold flake-embedded shredded carbon fiber handle.
Surebonder Cordless/Corded Mini Hot Glue Gun
I don’t think any readers bought this yet, but it looks interesting and there was no where else to mention it.
Skil 12V Brushless Motor Cordless Ratchet Kit – $69
This is another “that looks like a great deal, I need a place to mention it” type of deal.
Tekton 40-Tool Modular Drawer Organizer
This was on my wishlist for about a month, and I bought it just before Black Friday when the discount went live. Hopefully the deal lasts long enough for me to determine if I need a second set.
Bosch Grinding Wheels, Flap Discs, Cut-Off Wheels – Buy 3, Save 20%
What other tool deals are you guys buying?

Believe “Fluke 5pc Hex Shank Countersink Drill Bit Set” should actually read “Bosch 5pc Hex Shank Countersink Drill Bit Set”?
BTW, you are the go-to resource for tools. Best ever.
Josephus
Yeah. I was very curious to see Fluke entering into that side of things. Turns out it’s the Bosch one which was mentioned yesterday-ish? Good for a laugh. Now to go get some coffee and read the rest of the deals.
Stuart
Thanks! *fixed* Sorry, I might be running out of steam. One last late night and a hectic Cyber Monday to go!
I appreciate the sentiment. This time of year has become very frustrating. I get all kinds of tool deal posts and videos in my news and YouTube feeds, and most of them are just… questionable at best.
NO, that combo kit is NOT $450 off, and NO, Home Depot is NOT “handing out free cordless tools for Black Friday.” Sharing great deal finds has been my passion, stemming from my personal shopping efforts, and I feel like counteracting or at least balancing out all the BS out there has almost become a side mission.
Farmerguy
Not tech savvy so pardon my lack of knowledge. Re: Anker 100w vs 65w. On your 65w you state “although I don’t and wouldn’t use it for my laptop.”. Is that a problem? I forgot a charger for my laptop once traveling and used my lower watt cell phone charger overnight and didn’t cause noticeable problem to my laptop. Is that a concern or that it wouldn’t charge faster than discharge in use?
Dave
The 65 is probably enough for a lot of laptops but you can’t change multiple devices because that is the total power not per port. If people are looking for something to charge their laptop and phone at the same time they should probably go for the 100. Also a workstation or gaming laptop by itself may even require more than the 100. The brick that came with your computer should state the wattage.
Stuart
My laptop came with a ~100W charger and I’ve gotten used to its fast charging speed, often when using it.
It’ll charge with lower power chargers, I just don’t want to.
I travel with my laptop on occasion, but am not quite sure I *need* the larger and higher power charger the rest of the year. I have really been liking my desktop chargers ( https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/anker-6-port-usb-charger-deal-2024/%3C/a%3E ) and feel the 65W multi-port I already own is a better option *for me*.
Rob H
That desktop charger is currently $55. I ordered one at that price. Was time to upgrade my old setup.
JR Ramos
Just to add a little. For those two Anker models, no problem, just a lower current rate but as noted, the 100W is probably better. Even if your laptop can’t accept that level of current delivery you may still see better performance with it than the 65W. Both of those are capable of communicating with the laptop provided you use a worthy cord with the e-marker smart chip (it enables two-way communication between the devices so they know what they are working with and can deliver the max and/or the appropriate level of power for charging). If you use those chargers with a standard cable they won’t be able to talk and negotiate and you’ll see a minimal level or charging (or on some laptops it may not charge at all, as a failsafe against overcurrent/overcharging). Similarly if you use a charger that doesn’t have the smart negotiating features built in, the laptop may reduce or refuse the charge. But these two are good for any device, just get the right cable to use.
I find that on my work laptop which is beladen with all kinds of apps and connection to both wi-fi and cellular that I cannot change or turn off, the measly 65W charger can barely keep up with the power draw during normal business use, true on A/C or 12V. The 96W charger keeps up and will still charge it fast on top of that. The way most people use their laptops, though, the 65W is still fine save for those that are doing movies or games where it might just barely keep up. If the laptop can accept more, go for that, imo.

The link to the Fluke 5pc Hex Shank Countersink Drill Bit Set is pointing to the BOSCH SP515 5 Piece Hex Shank Countersink Drill Bit Set
Stuart
Thanks! I was able to fix that this morning. Thankfully, it looks like that was my only (noticeable?) error.

The way the cord leaves that glue gun rack would drive me nuts, but add one or two 90s and it’d likely be just fine.

That’s a great link to those L-power-cord-adapters — there have been any number of times I could have used these (though in practice, the best option would be to find a cord with the right kind of adapter to have one fewer interface / point of failure.
Tdot77
Very cool! Never even knew these adapters existed. Learn something new everyday! There are sooo many things I’ve come across on Amazon that I would’ve never thought were even a thing….its like a learning tool of sorts. Going down the Amazon rabbit hole gets interesting for sure! Thanks!

“Rockwell Oscillating Multi-Tool Saw Blade
I don’t think I have ever seen that blade shape before!”
How would you get that particular tooth pattern blade on your OMT without cutting your fingers, even with thick leather gloves on?
I have to apply quite bit of force with my fingers to get blades on and off my Dewalt OMT.
fred
I bought one to try in 2014 – paid $16.28 after tax. It might be worth a try at under $7 – but mine is still its original packaging. It’s one of those designs that you think might come in handy. But for me I’ve not found a use in 10 years.
Robert
Bosch 12″ Axial Glide Miter Saw, GCM12SD.
If you are buying it, and want to support non-Amazon,
Woodcraft has the same deal on this miter saw, $549.
Stuart
Here’s the link to Woodcraft’s deal.
fred
Home Depot, Acme and Menards seem to be offering it at the same price.
Leo B.
Got the Knipex 10” chrome pliers wrench for $48 out the door from Woot- seemed like a great deal to me!
Adam
Came to post about the Wera Advent calendar being only $56 there. Missed a few other tools I would have picked up, mainly the 3/8″ Zyklop
Stuart
Thanks! Link to Woot sales event.
I was surprised that there weren’t many Wera or Knipex deals at Amazon. Maybe they didn’t have enough inventory, and that’s why they’re at Amazon’s WOOT instead.
KG
Seemed like they bounced a whole bunch of those over to their Woot site (+Bondhous, Klein, and a few others I scrolled through today)
Jeremiah D
Thanks for this tip. My wallet doesnt agree though.
Alexk
That Civivi Elementum looks nice and has a button lock release. “I REALLY DO NOT NEED ANOTHER KNIFE”, but I allow myself to use whatever is in my “change” jar to buy something I don’t need. It might be this knife and the Olight Oclip.
“ I REALLY DO NOT NEED ANOTHER LIGHT”………
Might have to go with the Dewalt planer/battery instead.
If I get everything, I’ll be back to eating rice and beans….. Wait a minute, I like rice and beans.
Tdot77
It’s really tough, I agree! It’s all Stuarts fault I tell ya!
:,-)

I know this is somewhat off topic but is there any reason to hope Bosch might update or release a replacement for the Axial Glide miter saw that incorporates a shadow line cut indicator?
I would love to trade dust collecting slider bars (+the depth to wall they require) for the Axial mechanism but having used the shadow line on M18 and Dewalt saws, I would really miss it.
fred
I bought the Bosch LS010 ( 2610005290 ) laser add-on for mine back in 2013. For me it was a wasted $45. I use my saw mostly outdoors and the laser is not bright enough to be seen well in bright sunlight. I think they discontinued it.

I /almost/ bought the Leatherman T2 as well as the P4. I ended up going with the P4. I can comfortably open and close everything with both my dominant and non dominant hand.
I do think I should’ve grabbed both now just so I’d have a lighter minimalist option. I also think the T2 may have more reach because of reduced tool body width. I can imagine that could be why some readers went with it.
If anyone is thinking of getting a P4 for a wife or daughter it isn’t too large for my hands and I’d say they’re average for a woman.
I know from reading past posts while contemplating buying a P4 that there was some question if Leatherman was making these for Amazon in batches. I checked the date code on mine and it’s 11/22.

I have been seeing a lot of micro USB rechargeable energizer stuff on super cheap sale recently. I think they are clearing out stock to replace with USB-C
