Over at Amazon, they have the Bosch PR20EVS 5.6A 1HP Colt variable speed palm router on sale for $79, AND it’s also eligible for added $20 off $100+ savings.
Bosch’s Colt compact routers have been very popular over the years, although they seem to have been eclipsed by competing models that offer more power, value, or cordless motor compatibility.

Still, $79 is a very good price for this compact Bosch router, and the deal gets even better after you add $21+ worth of Bosch bits, blades, or accessories to your order in order to be eligible for added $20 savings.
Lowe’s will have this Bosch Colt router at the same price for Black Friday 2019, but it looks like only Amazon has it eligible for the added money-saving promo.

If you can budget a little more, Makita also has a compact router kit deal right now – $139 minus $25 discount.
Frankly, I’d go for the Makita, unless you can’t use the plunge base. They also have a fixed base-only kit, but it’s not eligible for the $25 off $100+ savings. It ends up being $99 for the trim router with fixed base, or $114 for the router with fixed and plunge cutting bases. You could always buy the plunge base separately at a later time for $70.

There’s also deal pricing on Makita’s cordless router kit right now.

While there were better deals recently, Amazon also has the Bosch 1617EVSPK woodworking router combo kit on sale for $189, and it’s eligible for $20 off $100 savings, dropping the price to $169 at checkout.

Thinking of getting a router. Not going to be doing alot of work. Maybe wanted something to add a fixed table with. Starting to get lost with all these promos and such. Any one have good recommends

Unless you specifically want a compact router, a larger 2.25HP-class router will be more versatile, allowing you to use larger router bits and also being more compatible with router tables. The Bosch 1617 kit I mention above is my personal choice.
If you want a compact router that’ll be very flexible, the Makita kit would be my choice.
If you want to dabble a little with lower investment, the Bosch Colt deal might be best given the current promo value.
First figure out what you want to do with the router. If you’re not sure, the next step is to figure out how much you want to spend.

The Colt router is in the “trimmer class”. Mostly used for one-handed edging with smaller bits and light passes.
A small step up would be a compact router like this Dewalt kit:

or it in fixed base only:

But stepping up to the larger Bosch kit – as Stuart suggest – would give you more capability

I highly recommend the Makita trim router kit. I purchased mine about a month and a half ago and how been absolutely happy with it. I purchased it primarily to do door hinge mortises at work, but have used it multiple times since for edge routing projects as well. The quality on it is top notch and it performs wondering with some nice Freud router bits. Some people complain about the plunge base having locking issues, but I haven’t experienced any at all. One thing that I understand regarding the Bosch Colt, is that they had collet issues at some point. Whether they been remedied across all models I’m not sure, but that was one major thing that sent me towards the Makita.

I’m not seeing any discounts when clicking the links?
Stuart
What price are you seeing? I still see $79 price and added discount eligibility.
TMS
Now it shows up. Earlier when I clicked the links there was no discount option…

for compacts I like the makita as well, dewalt makes a nice one too.

Any router table deals around?
Stuart
Not really. Amazon says there’s a deal on the Bosch, but the price isn’t anything special.

Has Bosch changed the collet on the Colt from 4-jaw to something better? I owned one a few years ago – for less than a day. The 4-jaw caused the bit to wobble so bad, the Colt went straight back to HD and I came home with a little DeWalt. I’m not a DeWalt fanboy, but I have to say their little router is pretty darned nice, with a good 3-jaw collet that centers well. I also own the larger Bosch 1617 and I agree with the other comments that “if you are only going to buy one, get a larger one”, like the 1617 or similar. I just hate the Colt.

The new model has a different collect, I think, but this is the old model, so I’m not sure if they’ve fixed it.
