AWP Zippered Tool Bags are Easier on Your Wallet

AWP Tool Bags

In response to my post about the new Klein high-viz zippered tool bags, Satch commented that he saw some inexpensive AWP zippered tool bags at Lowes. I took a look and found that they carry an AWP 3-pack, for $10.

These bags are made from 1680D and 600D ballistic polyester material (it looks like the larger bag is made from the tougher material). They have D-ring loops at the end, and the set comes with a carabiner accessory clip.

The set comes with 3 sizes of zippered bags:

  • 9.5″ x 5″ x 0.67″
  • 7.5″ x 5″ x 0.67″
  • 5.75″ x 5″ x 0.67″

I haven’t tried these out yet, but I do own some AWP products (knee pads and maybe a bag somewhere) that have served me well. I’ve checked out the tool bags at Lowes before, and they seemed well-made.

Price: 3-pack for $10

User reviews are extremely encouraging. At this price, especially, I’ll give them a try.

Have you used these before? Any other AWP tool storage products you could share some thoughts about?

I would love to try these out but alas Lowes doesn’t appear to like foreigners.

I can’t access their website and never have been able to. These look like bags I would use especially for $10.

    Good find.

Have had some AWP stuff and it’s priced right. Works, but doesn’t hold up to heavy use. They seem to wear out quickly. There is a reason they can sell them for the price they do.

Thanks Stuart. I knew they had the sets, I just couldn’t remember if it was two or three bags. Pretty good price. I may grab a set the next time I am there.

I’ve had bad luck with the zippers on mine. The cloth material held up well, but the zippers failed surprisingly quick.

I’d recommend spending a few dollars more for a better set.

Husky makes a good set with a mesh strip to see what’s in it, the ones clc make are on the low end.

The one thing i was going to mention on the klien post was that it looks like the klien bags are double walled- black on the outside and orange on the inside. Where these are just a single layer of nylon. If i was a bettin’ man i’d bet the klien bags would last longer.
And… i’ve never been a fan of AWP

These are polyester, not nylon. Not as durable, but more color-fast. 🙂
