Here are the best Black Friday 2023 deals on cordless drills and drivers.

There are more options than the drills discussed below, of course, but these are the top cordless drill deals I’d suggest to Black Friday shoppers.

If you need something more powerful, or are looking for a larger cordless combo kit, take a look at our other Black Friday 2023 deal guides for more sales and recommendations.

Milwaukee M18 Compact Brushless

Milwaukee M18 Compact Brushless Drill Kit 3601-21P

Milwaukee has a new M18 brushless drill out, and as expected it’s bundled in this 1-battery kit.

It’s compact, light, and plenty powerful for its size.

Buy it at Home Depot | $99

Dewalt 20V Max Atomic Brushless

Dewalt Atomic 20V Max Cordless Drill Kit DCD794D1

Dewalt also has a new 20V Max cordless drill deal – this Atomic series brushless drill. For the first time, it’s kitted with a 2Ah battery instead of 2x 1.3Ah batteries.

I like this model and deal a lot better than Dewalt’s earlier Atomic series cordless drill, and wouldn’t hesitate to buy it.

Buy it at Home Depot | $99

There are several other Dewalt cordless drill kits. Of them, the non-Atomic compact drill kit (DCD793D1) is the only other one I’d consider.

Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Drill Kit (DCD793D1) – $99 at Lowe’s
Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Drill Kit (DCD793D1) – $99 at Acme Tools
Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Drill Kit (DCD777D1) – $99 at Amazon (larger than the DCD793)
Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Drill Kit (DCD771C2) – $99 at Amazon (popular, but not as good)

Metabo HPT 18V Brushless Drill

Metabo HPT 18V Brushless Drill Kit DS18DEX

This Metabo HPT 18V cordless drill would be my top pick based on power. It delivers plenty of punch – 620 in-lbs max torque – while still being compact and without requiring an auxiliary handle attachment.

It’s also kitted with (2) 2Ah batteries, not just one.

Buy it at Amazon | $99
SubCompact at Amazon | $89
Combo Kit at Amazon | $129

Craftsman V20 Cordless Drill

Craftsman V20 Cordless Drill with Battery CMCD700C1

This Craftsman V20 is a decent cordless drill and in my opinion a great value. I bought one for testing a few years ago, and was not disappointed.

I wouldn’t recommend it over the brushless drills featured above, but this one leaves $40 extra in your wallet.

Buy it at Amazon | $59
Buy it at Lowe’s | $59

Dewalt 20V Max Atomic Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit

Dewalt Atomic 20V Drill and Impact Driver Cordless Combo Kit DCK225D2

If I were shopping for a cordless drill and impact driver combo kit, this is the one I’d get.

This features Dewalt’s newest Atomic series drill – the same as above, and gives you a brushless impact driver and second battery for just $50 more.

Buy it at Home Depot | $149

Ryobi 18V HP Brushless Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit

Ryobi 18V HP Brushless Drill and Impact Driver Kit PSBCK01K

This Ryobi 18V HP brushless drill and impact driver combo kit is also worth considering, especially at its $99 price point.

Not to mince words, Ryobi has cheaper cordless drill deals right now, but the HP model included here is what I’d go for. They have a drill-only kit for $89, but this combo kit is just $10 more.

Buy it at Home Depot | $99
Drill-Only Kit at Home Depot | $89

Last weekend I mixed up three 5 gallon buckets of self leveling cement. I started out with my Gen 3 M18 FUEL drill. It was very hot after the first bucket and was so bad after the second that I was afraid I had burned out the motor.

So I grabbed the little DeWalt 20V Atomic, slapped a 4Ah compact battery in it, and mixed up the last bucket. Afterwards it was only moderately warm, and I mixed it more thouroughly than the first two that I did with the Milwaukee. I was very impressed with that little DeWalt drill!

Which atomic? The new 794? I really want to grab one of those but have seen a few instances of gearbox problems when pushed.

It was the DCD708B, I picked it up on Black Friday 2021.

Send it in. Something’s wrong or you have a fake or something. I’ve mixed hundreds of buckets with my gen3 drill, even concrete at very low slump. I also have a DeWalt 20V Atomic, which is far far less powerful.

I got it straight from Milwaukee as a review sample. The Gen 3 drills are notorious for overheating. It’s definitely more powerful than the DeWalt Atomic, just bad at sustained operation and heat dissipation.

Do you have the Gen 3 for sure? Or is it possibly a Gen 2 or a Gen 4?

Ohh, you’re right, I have the 4th gen and my guys have the second gen. Both have been highly abused. Weird that they made a dud in between. We’ve mixed 40 bags of SLC with 3 drills running constantly for about an hour, and regularly use just one of the cordless M18 drilled when we need a couple hundred pounds of concrete mixed in a bucket.

How about the Flex 1271 kit at Acme Tools for $110 with your code? That’s a hell of a deal!

The best deal IMO is the Metabo HPT kit with the compact drill and an impact (solid but not the Bolt) plus two batteries and a charger for $129. Or you could get the drill kit for $99 and the 18v Bolt kit for $129 and have four batteries, two chargers, and two class leading tools for $228. Not bad.

Could someone explain why there are so few deals for 12V tools. Why can I get and 18V drill cheaper than 12V during holiday deals.
Like Milwaukee has a ton m12 options, but the impact is the only tool kit under $100 ( from the research I have done). One of the 2 battery voltages must make/lose money for these companies.

      Popularity and sales volume.

There’s a reason most brands only offer a small handful of 12V-class cordless power tools. Milwaukee is really the only one that offers a broad selection.

The first Milwaukee drill you mention isn’t a Fuel (like the headline states), just the standard brushless version.

Thanks! Sorry – I made sure I removed mention in the post but forgot the title.

I’ve been typing M18 Fuel so much recently it became muscle memory.

I’m looking to buy the Milwaukee M18 Brad Nailer but also need a battery/charger to get started (tiptoeing into M18 platform), preferably 2.0 or 3.0 Ah. Appears most of the starter kit or free tool deals are 5.0 or 6.0 Ah.

M18 CP3.0 two battery pack @ $99 looks good but no charger. M18 1/2” brushless drill kit @ $99 comes with one 2.0 Ah and charger. I really don’t need another drill or OMT… but. Anything I’m missing?

Thanks for all the work, great site.

There is a Milwaukee Fuel Compact 3/8″ Impact Wrench Kit with 3.0 HO for $179. Though I have seen it dip to $149 here and there for flash sales.
