There’s one thing we can count on every holiday season, and that’s great deal pricing on Dewalt cordless power tool batteries, and this year is no exception.
Some of the higher powered and more premium battery deals are more nuanced, and often tied to tool bundle and kit purchases. In this post, we’ll focus on straight-up battery deals.
I’ll update the post throughout the season – please let me know if you see any hot Dewalt battery deals that I missed!

Dewalt 20V Max Compact 4Ah Battery – $59
This is one of the better deals, in my opinion, as it features the 5-cell (21700) 4Ah battery. I feel it’s a good match for compact and medium-duty tools, and accessories such as radios and worklights, or intermittent-use tools.
Lowe’s has the 2-pack for $129, but that’s not as good of a deal. If you get two of the Home Depot deals, that would be $118.

Dewalt 3Ah Battery – $39
If you need a bunch of batteries for intermittent-use tools or accessories, this is the lowest priced deal of the season.

The price bounced back up overnight, and it went out of stock at other retailers. Lowe’s stores – at least mine – still have it at this price.

Dewalt 3Ah Battery 3-Pack – $99
This could explain why the single batteries are temporarily unavailable; Home Depot would rather sell you a 3-pack for $99, which is actually quite a bit better as it comes down to $33 each.
It looks like delivery is unavailable, but you can opt for in-store pickup.

Dewalt 3Ah Battery 4-Pack – $129
If you need 4 batteries, this Fleet & Farm deal works out even better, at $32.25 each.
Thanks, Big Richard!

Dewalt Compact 3Ah Battery 2-Pack – $99
This deal gets you two compact batteries (with 21700 cells) at a lower out of pocket cost than for two of the 4Ah batteries, but the cost per amp-hour is a little higher.

Dewalt 5Ah Battery 2-Pack – $149
While not as hot of a deal as some of the others, this 2-pack gets you higher capacity batteries at a good cost per amp-hour.

Dewalt 6Ah Battery 2-Pack – $169
Lowe’s in-store signage has this 2-pack priced at $179, but it’s $169 right now online. Amazon’s (direct) price is a little lower – $161.09 at the time of this posting, but seems unlikely to last.

Dewalt FlexVolt 6Ah Battery 2-Pack – $199
This is a good price if you need FlexVolt batteries for Dewalt’s 60V Max tools. For 20V Max tools, I’d go with lighter 20V Max batteries mentioned above.

Dewalt 6Ah and 4Ah Starter Kit plus FlexVolt 6Ah – $199
As you might have seen, Home Depot kicked off their “free with purchase” offers. If you need a mix of battery types or sizes, you can get the starter kit, with 6Ah battery, compact 4Ah battery, and opt for the FlexVolt 6Ah battery as your freebie.
This gets you 16Ah of total charge capacity for $199, which comes out to $12.44 per amp-hour.

Dewalt Battery Assortment 4-Pack – $199
This bundle gets you 2x 4Ah batteries and 2x 2Ah batteries, with a combined charge capacity of 12Ah.
I’m including this deal as an FYI, and in case the price is reduced. I think the 3Ah and compact 4Ah battery deals are better, as they both get you the same charge capacity for less money.
The only reason I’d choose this deal over the others is if I wanted the 2Ah batteries. But if you want compact batteries, there might be some deals on the compact PowerStack battery.

Dewalt Compact PowerStack Battery – $64
Right now Fleet & Farm has the best price on the Dewalt DCBP034 compact PowerStack battery, built with pouch-style Li-ion cells.

I really like the flat 3 and 4ah batteries for impact drivers and OMTs, especially under a house. The all black brick 3 and 4ah batteries seem to be weaker, and are best for low draw tools, like a pivot-head light or Bluetooth speaker. Good time to stock up on batteries, especially the power stack.

The 4ah 21700 is my favorite for their 1/4″ cordless router. Keeps the center of gravity nice and low and has plenty of power.

Thanks for the write up Stuart! It’s nice to see some decent battery deals without the need to purchase multiples or “hacking” it from Home Depot.
I’d like to pick up a 5AH or higher battery for my leaf blower. The 4ah and 6ah can’t completely keep up when it gets colder.
Big Richard
If you get the 4Ah/6Ah bogo deal from HD, one of the “free” options is the 6Ah FlexVolt battery. That gets you 16Ah total for $199, which is not outstanding, but also not terrible.
Derek
I might pick up that 4/6Ah bogo from Home Depot and give one of the batteries/impact wrenches to my father in law. Plenty of time to decide and if all the leaves fall off while it’s still incredibly warm here I’ll wait another year.

I was in my local Home Depot and the amount of yellow compared to Red and Neon green was horrible! Milwaukee dominates the hand tools and power tool accessories by at least 10 to 1. Being a Dewalt fan it kinda disgusts me as Dewalt has so much in the hand tools and accessories and is usually a bit more value orientated in price compared to Milwaukee. A lot of the same junky type stuff that comes back every year with the HDX name. I miss more of the Husky name in hand tools especially the Christmas season.
Stuart
There’s a fair amount of Dewalt deals, and my stores also gave space to the new ToughSystem DXL tool boxes.
I anticipate seeing a few more deals over the next month.
Hand tools have not been a focus for Dewalt in recent years. I’m not surprised with the deals selection.

I wanted to try the new Dewalt 8Ah tabless PowerPack batteries so I bought the new DCD1007 kit which included 1 8Ah battery and came with another for free. I’ll probably sell off all the extra stuff. That probably makes those batteries about $100 each which I feel is a great deal.
