Black and Decker RapidRoller Pivoting Head Paint Roller

Black & Decker’s RapidRoller is a new paint roller that features an interesting paint-filling system to help users spend more time painting and less time at a roller tray. Its pivoting roller can be used straight, at 80°, or at 40°, for maximum coverage and comfort when painting different surfaces and tricky edges.

Black & Decker claims that the RapidRoller can be used with less mess and hassle compared to a traditional roller, and for the most part, it looks like they’re right. Paint is drawn up directly from a paint can and into the hollow stem, and is then squeezed through the perforated roller to coat its surface. Paint is then applied to a wall or ceiling as with an ordinary roller.

The RapidRoller looks great for homeowners, and user reviews have thus far been positive. We’ll be checking it out for ourselves, so be on the lookout for a review!

Black & Decker’s other recent products, such as the SureGrip laser level, have been huge hits with homeowners, and we can see the same happening with the RapidRoller.

I’ve used the Wagner Paint-Mate before with good results. Only downside is the clean-up, which can be a real mess. Eventually the guts get kind of gunky even with a good clean-up, and you end up scrapping the tool. However, I do like them if you have a full-day of painting ahead of you – as they do keep down the mess considerably.

I would love to use this roller to paint my entire house. It seems like it would really save a lot of time and looks like a quality product.

My wife will be happy that I can paint without complaining too much ;).
