I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – the winter holiday season is my favorite time of year to buy power tools. One of the reasons for this is because Amazon always offers a nice discount on Bosch tools.
This year, the discount is for a sizable $25 off $100+, with lots of Bosch tools, accessories, and L-Boxx storage products eligible for the savings. Some of the special-priced 12V L-Boxx combos, such as the latest drill, driver, radio, 2x L-Boxx combo, are simply priced too low to allow for any additional savings.

There’s a risk that high interest 12V tools will sell out quick, but there’s also the possibility that some of the 12V L-Boxx combo kits will be on sale for Black Friday as was the case last year. Tools that sell out should still be available for ordering, but the shipping ETA might be pushed back to 2-4 weeks. That’s what happened when I ordered L-Boxxes during a promo period – I still got the discount but had to wait an extra week.
For those on the fence or debating about whether to buy now or wait, keep in mind that Amazon typically doesn’t charge restocking fees on unopened tools, and although they don’t refund return shipping, it’s not usually that bad of a hit. This way, one can buy the kit they want without worrying about whether a better Black Friday DoorBuster or “Gold Box” deal will pop up down the road.
For instance, last month Amazon wouldn’t apply a $50 promo discount to something I ordered a day before the promo went live, so I reordered it. I chatted with customer service, and that’s what they recommended – a rebuy and return. They sent a shipping label for the return, and I ended up getting the $50 promo and a full refund minus maybe $6 and change for the return shipping. This was for an unopened product.

Ordered an L-Rack and a random add on; $80 shipped! Hell of a deal. Now just hoping some worthwhile tool+lboxx combos are on there.

Some of the combos look to be excluded, but to me that means it’s because the L-Boxx combos are already priced with razor-thin margins.

The DDS181-102L drill/driver (18v 1/2-inch) with an L-BOXX2 and 2 batteries is going for $144 ($169-$25 discount), not bad…
The same deal with just 1 battery is $129 at amazon [not eligible for $25 discount] and at HD.
Unfortunately, corded hammer drills do not seem to be included in the discount offer, and I really wanted to pick up one on sale. No sales going on for them, unfortunately.

I love how the heated jacket is pictured in the promo, but not part of it. I would of picked it up, oh well guess i dont need two heated jackets, but the bosch looks so good!

Darn, I didn’t catch that. I grabbed the image from Amazon, and assumed they would know to only feature tools that are eligible for the discount. Maybe the eligibility will change down the road, but for now it looks like a simple mixup and human error.

Seems most likely that it’s supposed to be part of the promotion, but a programming mistake on that particular item. Especially considering it IS eligible for $25 off at Bosch CPO.

I just ordered the jacket for $155.25 shipped on Amazon. It showed the $25 discount at checkout.

in spite of the Bosch PSJ120L 12-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Softshell Heated Jacket being featured on the $25.- ad and in the deal search, the discount won´t apply when ordering:
“Ineligible for Bosch Holiday Promotion. We’re sorry that this item is not eligible for our holiday Bosch promotion. We do have many Bosch tools shipped and sold by Amazon.com that are eligible for $25 off a $100 purchase at checkout.”
