The Bosch 12V Max cordless screwdriver kit – the brushless version (GSR12V-300FCB22) – is on sale at Amazon for Black Friday right now, for around $131.
This is a 5-in-1 cordless screwdriver, with built-in 1/4″ hex bit holder and 4 attachment heads to make drilling and driving a breeze whether in tight spaces or ordinary and less demanding environments.
With the drill chuck and 1/4″ hex quick release chuck, you can drill holes or drive fasteners as you would with a regular compact cordless drill or screwdriver.

Throw the right angle adapter in between the drill and screwdriver chucks and the tool, and you now have an adjustable right angle tool that can drill holes or drive screws in corners and other such spaces.
Swap all that out and use the offset attachment to drive screws around obstructions or in tight spaces.
Price: $130.36 at the time of this posting
Amazon has a couple of other Bosch 12V Max cordless power tools on sale right now:
Bosch 12V Cordless Right Angle Grinder Kit – $169
Bosch 12V Cordless Right Angle (Tool-Only) – $119
Bosch 12V Cordless Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit – $99
Bosch 12V Cordless Sander (Tool-Only) – $79

This is a great tool, and in some ways better than the M12 installation driver. It frequently goes on sale as part of a kit that includes the OMT as well for $150

The bundle kit sold out on Day 1 of the Black Friday deals. This kit was the same price, $149, but they reduced it down to the current price.
It might come back for BF or CM, but it’s hard to say. Bosch sent a list of their planned deals, and the 2-tool combo was supposed to last through December 31 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VWMBN4V/?tag=toolguyd-20), but it’s no longer available via Amazon directly or for backorder.

I have both this Bosch and the M12 installation driver. I greatly prefer the Bosch Flexiclick. It has a regular forward/reverse button, the attachments are easier to get on/off, and it actually has a locking bit holder instead of magnets for the offset attachment.
The only thing I like more about the M12 is that the grip is more in line with the rotation axis like that of a drywall screw gun.

$130 is a decent price for this kit. I use my Flexiclick quite a bit, especially the offset driver attachment.
Another Bosch 12V tool that’s on sale right now at Amazon is their die grinder for $118 (tool only). It’s been super useful for me, with more power than I expected.
Stuart
The kit is also on sale, for $169 – both were included at the end of the post.

Yep, I bought the kit when it first came out almost a year ago, for $169. I seem to remember that $169 was the list price at the time. I had no regrets, then or now. Great tool!

Have both bosch and milwaukee instalation drivers and bosch is smaller and has better attachments besides the chuck which i don’t use. It’s good enough I keep this one tool in that entire platform even though I’m 90% m12. The 6ah battery wakes this bosch up with tons more power too. I’m seeing alot of comments with the same feeling so we all can’t be wrong.

I have been waffling between the Bosch and the DeWalt for a while now. If anyone has both and has any insights, I would love to hear them!
Thanks!

Bosch 12v flexclick us by far rhe smallest and best one out of the group. Sure the dewalt or milwaukee can muster a little more power but size and quality of the head attachments is well worth it. It’s the only bosch tool I own and its worth the seprate charger. Only downside is if you need that timberlock crushing power get a 6ah battery kinda expensive and the 3 jaw chuck is kinda plastic vs all metal the others have but it’s still good.

I agree with Matt W. on this. This is the best installation driver between Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Bosch. I hear wonderful things about the Festool installation driver, but it’s 3 times the price (more if you include the offset attachment). The trigger, direction controls, clutch, and quality of attachments are just excellent. It’s got great torque at very low speed.
There’s other Bosch 12v gems in the line also: the OMT, the planer and router are all VERY good. I wish Bosch would bring more tools to the US, but these are all exceptional 12v tools.

I’m mostly using DeWalt 20v system. It’s “mostly” now, used to be exclusively. This particular driver made me get Bosch and I’m very happy I did.
Once I got this, I ended up adding a couple other Bosch 12v items and they’ve been nice too.

Stuart, quick question for you: Is the Metabo (German version) 12v installation still around? Thoughts on its’ value/performance?

Just a heads up – this kit is also a part of ACME Tools’ current Buy More Save More sale. They have it for $149, but if it pushes you over one of the total price thresholds, the savings could come out to less than $130 for the kit.
Stuart
Thanks! I added a link to the post, next to the Amazon link. Acme says it’s “available to order” with a mid-December ETA.

For the more budget conscious also looking for similar form factor and power, would the BOSCH PS21-2A 12V Max 2-Speed Pocket Driver be worth considering? I’m seeing it for $90. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003BEE12U .
Or if the drop off is that steep would I be better served with one of the new Skil 12v screwdrivers that is smaller than the last time I saw it reviewed here and only $40 at Lowes: https://www.lowes.com/pd/SKIL-12-volt-1-2-in-Brushless-Cordless-Drill-1-Battery-Included-Charger-Included/5013682127
I am mostly looking for something small and lightweight to keep in my tool bag and am willing to askew brand loyalty if it is worth it.
Stuart
The PS21 is good, but extremely dated. I’d sooner get the Milwaukee M12 doorbuster kit for $59. https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/home-depot-doorbuster-deals-2024/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E
Skil 12V is okay, but the drill/drivers reach or exceed the size of pro brands’ compact 18V models.
If you want the most compact size, stem-style 12V Max batteries are the way to go.
Joe
That’s very helpful. Thanks!

I have the fein deill with the quick 1/4″ quick detach and drill chuck and was expecting attachments like this since festool helped design the drill while fein helped design festools OMT. 8 years later and I’m still waiting. Would festool attachments work. I’d try them but at the asking price I’d rather not risk it. I love that 3800 rpm top speed for drilling in steel though it doesn’t get much use it’s nice to have.

This drill is excellent. I tried the Milwaukee M12 Installation Driver at the store, and the Bosch is easier to grip. The Milwaukee has an annoying bump near your index finger. Also the attachments on the Milwaukee wiggled more, and it has an annoying button for forward/reverse.
The Bosch is lightweight and sturdy with good power and speed. Its small size fits in tight spots. You can combine the attachments to reach almost anywhere.
This thing is great, everyone should have one.
