The Dewalt FlexVolt and 20V Max-compatible 12Ah battery is on sale for Cyber Weekend for $149.
I’ve used this battery for both Dewalt 20V Max and FlexVolt 60V Max cordless power tools, and it’s been a reliable performer. This my go-to when I need both high power capabilities and long runtime.
Some retailers have this battery at $299 right now, and it looks like most authorized dealers are participating in the $149 promo pricing for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

There’s no expiration given – except at Home Depot – and so I’m considering this a limited time deal. In other words, don’t assume it’ll still be available a week from now, because I don’t think it will.
Home Depot has a 2-pack of the same Dewalt battery for $598, and I can’t find any other examples of its non-promo pricing. It seems to me that retailers’ claims of this being a 50% off deal, saving you $150 per battery, is reasonably accurate.
At $149, that means you’re paying around $12.42 per amp-hour of charge capacity (at 20V Max), which is very good.
Sale Price: $149
Some dealers are sold out, others have the battery on backorder. Hurry up and get your orders in.

Acme Tools also has the Dewalt FlexVolt 6Ah battery 2-pack for $199, in case you need at least 2 batteries and can’t budget for multiple 12Ah batteries at 9Ah each. Home Depot had similar pricing, but it looks like they sold out already.

Lastly, I should remind everyone that FlexVolt batteries can run at 20V Max or 60V Max. The 12Ah charge capacity is for when it’s connected to a 20V Max tool. When connected to a 60V Max tool, the internal electrical configuration changes and it has 4Ah of charge capacity.
If you’re confused, all you need to know is the voltage times the amp-hour charge capacity gives you Watt-hours, which is a measure of the electrical energy stored in the battery pack. This battery is rated at 240 Watt-hours (nominally). If you do that math, that’s 12Ah at 20V Max and 4Ah at 60V Max.
For simplicity, FlexVolt batteries are often described by their 20V Max charge capacity rating.

I have ordered this battery four times in the last 3 days. Every time I get an email or an actual phone call that my order has been canceled. I just tried again a few minutes ago after seeing your post. Maybe I’ll get lucky this time. Thanks Stuart

Good luck! I thought that could happen with HD, which is why I searched for and linked to a couple of alternate retailers. I think these are going to sell fast at the promo price.

I bought 2 at CPO Outlet and 2 at Acme. No issues at all. Some Ace have them too.

This may be an indicator of dewalt preparing to releasing a new 12ah batter with tabless cells. That’s what I’m thinking at least. Still a great deal.

It’s possible, but I haven’t heard a peep about new FlexVolt batteries with tabless cells yet.
