Home Depot’s Black Friday and Holiday 2023 tool deals went live, and as usual there are plenty of special buys on power tool accessories.
Here, we’ll focus on all of the Dewalt MaxFit screwdriver drilling and driving bit sets that are on sale.
Dewalt MaxFit screwdriver bits are rated for use with cordless drills as well as impact drivers.

The bit sets all come with ToughCase storage cases in small, medium, or large sizes, which all stack and latch together. They also connect to other Dewalt drill bit and accessory sets.
Dewalt MaxFit 30pc Screwdriver Bit Set (DWAMF30)

This Dewalt 30pc bit set features a mix of 1/4″ hex bits in insert and longer power bit styles, as well as two nut driver sizes, a bit holder, and a magnetic screw retention sleeve.
As with all of the sets here, you can reuse the case and bit holders down the road.
Dewalt MaxFit 25pc Screwdriver Bit Set with Right Angle Adapter (DWAF25SETRA)

This set is a bit different – you get 21 screwdriver bits, 3 hex-shank drill bits, and a right angle adapter.
The right angle adapter typically retails for just under $20 by itself, making this is an especially good value set.
Dewalt 81pc MaxFit Ultra Screwdriver Bit Set (DWAMF81SET)

This Dewalt 81pc “MaxFit Ultra” bit set is new this year, and is bundled in a medium-size ToughCase organizer.

It features a selection of screwdriver bits, hex to square adapters, and also a single size of spade bit for drilling into wood.
I would say that this is the best deal for most people who aren’t quite sure what they want. There is some duplication of Phillips bit sizes, which is to be expected from most screwdriver bit sets and assortments, but relatively few slotted bits and 7 each of Torx (T10 to T40) and Hex bits (1/16″ to 1/4″), plus socket adapters in 1/4″ and 3/8″ sizes.
Dewalt MaxFit Ultra 120pc Drilling and Driving Bit Set (DWAF120PCSET)

If you want more – or a large Dewalt ToughCase with grab handle to refill as you please – this 120pc set has a broader selection of bit sizes and styles, as well as a couple of drill bits.
At this time, all of these deals are available for purchase online with free shipping, and you can also opt for in-store pickup.

Can someone help me out, please?
I have T-STAK and I want to connect the, Dewalt MaxFit Ultra 120pc Drilling and Driving Bit Set (DWAF120PCSET) to this, https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-Adaptor-Plate-for-TOUGHSYSTEM-2-0-DWST08017/322961591. Can I do that?
Thanks!
Alex
I think the case from the 120pc set will actually connect directly to TSTAK boxes. And then you can add smaller toughcase boxes on top of the large one.
I have the black large toughcase and it connects to TSTAK boxes.
AP
Thanks, Alex, I appreciate it!
Stuart
You *should* be able to attach the 120pc set’s large ToughCase to Tstak cases, and then small and medium ToughCases to that.
AP
Thanks, Stuart, thinking about giving it a go. Definitely need a better solution ’cause I keep all my fasteners in T-STAK.

The USA desperately needs DT70716-QZ https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DT70716-QZ-TSTAK-Caddy-Yellow/dp/B07QK9NJ44/
The small toughcases are nice…I’ve never found the rest to be very useful and I’ve bought every kind.
TStak is EXTREMELY nice for us homeowners and indoor users, but really underrated and seemingly discouraged in the USA, while Europe gets all the cool accessories.
AP
T-STAK is pretty good (use it for fasteners mostly) but I definitely prefer my Packout to it. I also have Bosch and Makita systainers and I’m not at all a fan of those. Looking forward to seeing how ToughBuilt rolls out their tool storage.
Why does Europe seem to get all the cool accessories?
AP
Can we order the caddy through Amazon? That. Is. Slick!
Chuck
I bought the Stanley version from Amazon UK for $30. That came with free prime shipping to me in the USA.
It is kinda useful. I got it more for the novelty than anything else.
Steven+B
You definitely can. I do this. I honestly don’t find it all that useful. I’ve never found a configuration that works better for me than the small toughcases stacked together.
One protip…you probably don’t need all the screwdriver bits. Remove the ones you don’t use and the small case becomes a lot more useful.
Stuart
Agreed.
Every so often someone asks where they can buy the empty ToughCase and empty bit rails.
You don’t. Get the $10 set, dump the bits you probably won’t use immediately into a spares cup/bin/etc, and load it up as you like.
Chuck
I started looking on ebay for some used empty cases, but they are more expensive than the $7-$10 that bit sets go for.
Stuart
It’s $6.98 at Amazon.

But you can get one with drill bits for $6 or $10, and one with screwdriver bits and universally-compatible holders for as little as $10.
Derek
That medium Toughcase option looks pretty good. All set on screwdriving bits.
Picked up the $6 drill bit kit already to replace some broken bits in an older case.
Just need to find a deal on an impact rated hex drill bit set.

I feel like whenever these cases are mentioned there needs to be a plug for benjamen’s work creating customized inserts!

Hi Stuart, can you keep an eye out for sets like this which include locking bit holders. Or just the bit holders themselves on Black Friday specials?
Stuart
They’re a rarity.
With sets, the priority seems to be on high value – parts/pieces per set.
I’ve got an eye out for sets with lots of power bits, and will look for sets with locking bit holders as well.

I recently picked up this DeWalt which is still on sale. Normally sits around $11 according to CamelCamelCamel.

Used it a few times now and it’s been great.

The $30 large car is a really good deal. They also make good gifts. Craftsman sells their version for more on sale, usually $45, and it comes with a bunch of low quality drill bits.

The Dewalt 81pc MaxFit Ultra bit set with medium ToughCase is actually pretty unique in that it comes with a ‘medium ToughCase’ that has the holder molding on both the yellow side as usual, but also on the clear lid. The medium tough cases purchased separately and with most sets only have bit holder molding on the yellow side. So for people using it for bit storage, you can hold pretty much double a normal medium ToughCase.

I just picked one of these up from my local HD. As happens at least a couple times a year, they were completely clueless the product even existed and it took multiple employees nearly 20 minutes to find them. The sales display was still packed up in cardboard and was located on the high shelves above the cabinet hardware.
It’s a great set though, and you’re right about the special Toughcase. The lid holds tools and the lid is also a little deeper than the previous models. I like this new case a lot.
