Dewalt Black Friday 2020 Coupon Promo at Zoro Tools

Over at Zoro, they have a new tiered coupon promo where you can save money on Dewalt tools.

Thru 12/6/2020, save:

  • $50 off $200+
  • $100 off $400+
  • $250 off $999+

The fine-print mentions that some Dewalt tools may be excluded.

If you’re planning to buy more than $400 worth of Dewalt tools and equipment, especially those that aren’t typically discounted for Black Friday or the rest of the year, the potential savings here can be a lot more than with the $50 off $200+ coupon that other retailers are offering this week.

If you find any notable deals, please let us know!

Coupon Code: DEWALT35125

Shop This Deal at Zoro – free ground shipping on $50+ orders if you are signed in. $75+ if you are not

Coupon expires 12/6/2020.

Note: You should definitely compare prices, as Zoro doesn’t always have the lowest pricing on Dewalt power tools.

Important: Many if not all Dewalt products will say “Not eligible for promotion.” This applies to typical Zoro coupon promos and offers. I have tested this Dewalt coupon and it DOES WORK on Dewalt products despite this messaging. You have to add the items to your cart and apply the coupon to see if it works, and for the items I checked it does.

Zoro sometimes comes through with very good deals. But since their base price for items can sometimes be a bit higher than others – its behooves you to add everything up then see what the same shopping cart would cost you elsewhere. Maybe doing 5 $50 off $200 deals at 5 different vendors (e.g, Acme, Amazon, MaxTool, ToolNut, and ToolUp) would take a bit of work – but cost less in total.

We used to wait on Zoro %off deals on brands like Proto, Williams and Starrett where their base prices were often good – and a %off deal made them much better.

Yes, hence my note at the end of the post. =)

I have found that they have been trying to be more competitively priced with power tools, but that also varies by brand and type of tool.

In case you want to spend 7hrs doing website comparisons at 14 different retailers/vendors in order to save $6?

Well may not be worth your time comparison shopping – but the first Dewalt item I compared (DCS570B) is $7 higher at Zoro compared to Amazon – so if that percentage difference holds true you would save $40 on $1000. That would certainly not be worth 7 hours of time – and not driving yourself crazy – but it might be worth some quick looking if you planned on buying 5 or 6 items that were not generally on sale or included in a bundle.

Maybe this is obvious to all…..however in case someone is in a hurry and over looks this strategy, I’ll post it anyway.

Assuming you are not purchasing a single item, i find with these types of deals that it is best to break up my purchases into separate orders to maximize savings.

For example, if you’re planning to purchase $1,200 worth of tools; 3 separate orders of $400 each saves you $300 versus the $250 off purchases over $999.

Similarly, an order totaling $800 would be best split into two separate orders saving $200 versus $100 on orders between $400 and $999.

Last example, is spending $600, having separate orders enables $150 in savings versus $100 on orders between $400 and $999. Checkout cart 1 with $400 worth of tools and save $100 and then checkout a second cart totaling $200 and save the additional $50 off.

I should add, get each cart as close to the discount threshold, e.g. as close to $400 per cart so as it’s 25% off.

      $100 off a cart totaling $401 is 25% (rounded)

      $100 off a cart totaling $450 is 22%

These ideas work if Zoro allows you to repeat the discount multiple times for the same account and/or shipping address – unless you want to ship to different places. When the email you a coupon code for a % off – it is usually a one-time deal – with the coupon expiring after use. This deal is open to the public – so maybe it will work – but require a bit of arithmetic in order to optimize it if the tools you want have prices that don’t align well with the threshold trigger amounts.

An example where I use this is Uline – I order in $300 increments both because I usually don’t need a ton and because that maximizes the number of free items I get.

Seems like 599 was the bottom so far on the 735x with stand. I believe someone said acme and some others have the 735x at 599 eith eligible 50$ coupon. Just is on back order.

Yea your right it isnt any more. Sorry. 599 still a good price on it’s own. Usually retailer sell that combo at 649 on sale. In another post some discussed the value of the stand. I do think it’s worth the $. I just assembled one last week. Went together fast and sturdy

I put the cordless table 60v table saw in the shopping cart and applied the code. At the top it says the code does not apply apply but the checkout total changed to $309. Doesn’t sound too bad. Havnt pulled the trigger yet.
