Happy New Year!
As for the posts, figured I’d chime in with my unsolicited opinion that I am a huge fan of budget, brushed motor 12-Volt tools.
I like to get tools specific to the tasks I plan to use them for. While some of the M12 Fuel stuff is truly a decent replacement for M18 Fuel for 90% of what the 18V tool can do, my approach has always been to use the 12V stuff for small light jobs, and the 18V for repetetive, all day tasks. The 12V tools are lighter, smaller, easier to maneuver, and you still get all those benefits with the super cheap brushed tools. Sure, you lose out on some power and runtime, but that’s not really the use case for my 12V stuff. If I’m going to be driving deck screws all day, I’d much rather break out the 18V brushless with a 5Ah battery and not even think about having to charge. For everyday small stuff though, the 12V brushed stuff is really great for the price.
