Home Depot launched new tool deals of the day today, featuring many Dewalt and Milwaukee special buys and money-saving bundles.
Today’s deals focus on cordless power tools, hand tools, power tool accessories, and cordless combo kits, with a couple of corded tools mixed in.
Some of these deals are BETTER than Home Depot’s advertised Holiday and Black Friday savings. I recommend taking a quick look through the full page of deals to see if anything catches your attention.

Following are some of the deals that stood out to me, either because they’re new bundles and bargains, or especially good deals.

Dewalt Scroll Saw DW788 – $399
It’s rare to find this popular Dewalt scroll saw on sale. I don’t know how many folks are still into scroll saws, but this one is well made and precise.

Milwaukee M12 Cordless Crown Stapler with M12 Starter Kit – $119
The compact cordless stapler is one of my favorite M12 cordless power tools. It works with common T50 staples, 1/4″ to 9/16″. The tool-only SKU is $99 right now, with this deal giving you the 2x 2Ah batteries and charger for just $20 more.

Dewalt DCF850 Brushless Impact Driver with PowerStack Starter Kit – $149
Advertisement
The Dewalt Atomic DCF850 impact has been one of my favorites for a while. It’s small, powerful, and perfectly paired with the compact PowerStack battery. If I were buying it again today, this is the kit I’d buy, especially at this price.

Milwaukee 43pc Impact Socket Set 49-66-7009 – $84.97
This is a good price on great impact sockets. It was on sale with last week’s deal of the day as well, and this repeat suggests we’ll see it again later too.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel Hammer Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit with Brushless Jigsaw – $349
If this is the exact combo you want, you save $50 with this deal bundle compared to the other “buy the combo kit, get a FREE tool” deal Home Depot has going on right now.

Milwaukee M18 Compact Brushless Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit with M18 Fuel Angle Grinder – $259
Buy this M18 compact brushless cordless power tool combo kit for $299 right now, and you can pick a free gift with purchase. Or, if you want the M18 Fuel paddle switch angle grinder, you save $40 off that promo.

Milwaukee M12 Fuel Stubby Impact Wrench with Rivet Tool and Batteries plus Bonus – $389
This bundle gets you the 2552-20 stubby impact wrench (last-gen), 2550-20 rivet tool (which retails for $249 by itself), 2x XC 3Ah batteries, AND a bonus High Output 2.5Ah battery on top of that.
I’d say that this is a deal to consider for M12 users already planning to get the rivet tool.

Dewalt 20V Max 6pc Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit with ToughSystem Tool Box and Ratchet – $599
The core combo kit, DCKTS681D1P, comes with a hammer drill, impact driver, circular saw, oscillating multi-tool, angle grinder, charger, 2Ah and 5Ah batteries (one each), and a ToughSystem tool box.
This bundle comes with a bonus 1/2″ cordless ratchet.
There are a bunch of other Dewalt 20V Max cordless combo kits and bundles right now, and most are similar to this one in nature. Other bonus options (look at the full deals page) include an XR brushless reciprocating saw, 5Ah battery, screwdriver, jigsaw, and impact wrench.
These deals end at 3am ET 11/8/24 unless supplies sell out sooner.

Off specific topic, but…
Has anyone seen the Viking Arm lift jack on sale?
Brendan
It was on Lowe’s deal of the day sale for 129 like two days ago. It was on there like a month ago too. I’d keep an eye out for it to see if it comes back around, if you have the time.
Robert
Thanks.
Currently $180 at Lowe’s, $170 on Amazon.
Ken
The $129 sale price at Lowe’s for the Viking Arm version seems to be a fair price (when available) as it is made in Norway and is a high precision tool. But I’m hoping for a good sale on the DeWalt version (DWHT83550) which is less expensive and probably better suited for my needs (less precision). The DeWalt is available for about $100 right now but that is still about 20% too expensive IMHO, especially since you really need a pair for many jobs.

How about IRWIN Quick-Lift, which is $79 right now, both at Lowe’s and Amazon.com?
Brad
I’m not hanging doors or cabinets everyday but I’ve really liked the Irwin allot. It’s rugged and has easily handled the couple of interior doors and the one steel exterior door I’ve hung for a neighbor.
Mark. M
I picked it up last week when I saw it had dropped to $79. I’ve only played with it, no real work, but I’m impressed. Heavy construction, action is smooth. Easily picked up the corner of a loaded tool chest and then lowered it with no fuss. I won’t use it all the time but seems like one of those niche things when you need it, not much else will do (except pry bars and curse words, which has been my go-to up to now)
Ken
That’s a good suggestion, but the DeWalt’s killer feature is that the trigger is flipped so that in addition to compressing it with your hand, you can push on it from above with your foot, freeing up your hands to position a heavy item or operate a power tool. The DeWalt also has more precision (1/8″ increments) compared to the Irwin (3/16″).
Jt
Agreed Ken the push of the DeWalt is the cats meow. Please let us know if it ever approaches the 80$ price point.
Alex
Hartville hardware has dewalt on sale for $79 free shipping. I got 2 coming tomorrow
Nate
That Atomic impact is so sexy, why don’t I see the other majors with a similarly stubby competitor? The last thing I need is another battery system, but I’d be tempted to get some yellow just for that one tool.
Brad
Yea that’s an odd one. I use my atomic for lug nuts but I reach for my M12 stubby for everything else on my Jeep Gladiator which is a bit smaller but less ergo.
I love that power stack battery but I think it comes down to I only use the 2.5 CP high output batteries with my M12 tools winch makes them way smaller and lighter than a full size M18 or Dewalt.
I know most real wrench turners run the big square 5.0 high outputs in there stubby’s but I find that to bulky I’d switch to my atomic’s at that point for the power jump. But I’m a home user and not working flat rate.

Meh i have the dewalt atomic multitool, only yellow i have
Goodie
I have it, too. I wish I had moved up to the XR. Having only the trigger speed control is a bit annoying.

The Atomic driver for screws is amazing and light. I use for install of windows (locks, remove/install for paint, lift on sash), and pre-drill adapter for screws like doorknobs, jamb latches, and more. Its so light, its like a toy but a serious toy. I didn’t know there were Powerstack packs but the nice thing is the Atomic 12V will charge on my larger Dewalt charger. The only odd ball battery I have is the 8Volt for my gyroscopic driver…which was a life saver installing IKEA products…a must is PoziDrive#2 bit.
Would be neat if DeWalt made a series of Atomics…like 1/4″ ratchet, small die grinder/carver, hotmelt glue gun… points at Ryobi!
Nick
I paid that for the scrollsaw on FB Marketplace a couple of months back. Granted I got the stand with it, but I’d have preferred to have the warranty.
Julian Tracy
Buying used, you may will have gotten an original made in Canada saw, new ones are made in China. If you got the Tyoe 1 saw, be glad of it, they are much smoother and refined
Clay
I bought that set of Milwaukee sockets when they are on sale for $99 a few years ago and I have to say, worth every penny.
Great set!
F
Yes, I have two Milwaukee socket sets. 1 /4 and 3/8 drive, expensive in my opinion they are but worth it…
Rich
Spearking of Stubby headsup on the Milwaukee brand. I bought the M12 FUEL™ 3/8″ Stubby Impact Wrench 2554-20. It’s weak and heavy. Would not buy again. The Dewalt equivlalent (I own) makes the Milwaukee look/behave like a toy. Good for the kids though. Just a weak and heavy M12 piece of garbage otherwise. If you buy the M12 stubby make sure to get a trial period so you can return it. (maybe I got a dud but I doubt it- 2Ah, 4Ah batteries here).
Go DeWalt.
I can say the same about the M12 1/4″ and 3/8″ log neck ratchets, too. Heavy as hell, akward, bulky. Like living in the 80’s. Big and bulky.
Mark. M
That’s interesting b/c I love my M12 3/8″. I’m not breaking lugs loose but it’s handy as anything for small and mid-sized fasteners and I’ve never wished it had more power. I’m using a 6ah battery, not sure if that makes a big difference (shouldn’t). What I do think it pretty wimpy is the M12 3/8″ ratchet- it’s good for spinning off fasteners in tight spots that are already loose and that’s about it.

Not a deal of the day (which is in this case good), there’s a buy one, get a free tool discount running at HD currently which has either the M18 Forge XC 8.0 or 12.0 as the main buy and the other one as the get-one-free “tool.” The combined price is $248 if I recall correctly, a 44% discount. This deal can be picked up in store if the store has inventory of both.
