Today only, Amazon has a deal of the day on 4 specialty Dewalt corded power tools. These are the types of tools that you’ll usually know at a glance if you can use or not.

  1. Just a heads up but 3 links got mixed up though no big deal. First link good. Drywall screwdriver link takes to masonry saw. Joiner link goes to drywall screwdriver l and the masonry saw link goes to the joiner.

  2. I’m going to start searching now, but does nayone know if the adapter that come with the Dewalt, will fit the Milwaukee cordless? Price is right to buy just for the accessories I think

  3. Speaking Dewalt… I received my long ordered Dewalt 20v cordless sander Friday and used it heavily in the shop this weekend. What a great tool!. I used it hard and it did a job at least as good as my corded sanders. The hook and loop plate seemed to grip the paper better then my Bosch sanders. I love it!

  4. Just a heads up that the DeWalt heat gun is not $79 but $117 and change. At $79 definitely interested but not at $117.

      • It was for sure $79. I just clicked, and looks to be back in stock. Guess I should pull the trigger and figure out later if the attachments will work elsewhere

  5. I just bought the last jointer, but it looks like they’ll just ship out more when they get it. I had a $10 Amazon coupon and 3 $25 Amazon gift cards, so only paid $40 out of pocket… Those cards have been sitting there forever.

  6. Just a bit of a heads up, the Dewalt plate joiner has alignment issues that I couldn’t remedy no matter what I tried. The fence and slide mechanism has a bit of slop in it in one direction, which leads to the error doubling once you cut the slots in two opposing pieces of material. More often than not the two pieces ended up a strong 1/16″ out of alignment which I guess you can work with if you plan on sanding or planing the pieces flush but its not something I could deal with. I bought the porter cable biscuit jointer and so far it has been very accurate and repeatable.

    • Yeah, I saw about 1 out of 10 saying the same thing. I was willing to take the chance because I know I can return it to Amazon if it doesn’t work out. I couldn’t pass up using my Amazon gift cards and ended up only paying $40 for it.

      • It may be a sporadic issue, or something they have since fixed. And fpr that price I agree, if you get a bad one keep sending them back until you get a good one. The one I have is probably 6 years old now. Forgot it had the problem and cut biscuits into 2 pieces of a custom laid laminate plywood cabinet I was building earlier this year and was quickly reminded why I had stashed it behind a bunch of other tools I have that didn’t work. Another carpenter on the same job left his Domino jointer out of state and wanted to use the Dewalt but I explained the issue to him. He went to a local lumber yard and bought a Makita corded joiner and it had a very similar problem to the Dewalt. I had been considering the Makita cordless up until that point and was really bummed it had the issue, as the cord is a real PITA on joiners imo. After much online research, the Porter Cable had the best reviews so picked one from a local Rockler and wasn’t disappointed.
