Dewalt Tool Deal Coupon for March 2025

Acme Tools kicked off a March Mania Dewalt buy more, save more type of sale.

The Dewalt tool deal works on select products, but from the looks of it there are few exclusions.

Here are the savings tiers:

  • $25 off $199+
  • $50 off $300+
  • $100 off $500+

Use coupon code POWER100 at checkout. Offer ends at 11:59pm CT on March 31, 2025.

Shop the Dewalt Sale at Acme Tools

What’s Eligible?

At a glance, many Dewalt cordless power tools, some outdoor tools, tool storage products, and accessories. A lot of new releases are also included in the deal.

It looks to me that price-fixed tools that are already promo-priced are the only exclusions. Many cordless outdoor power tools are not included in this deal.

Is this a Good Deal?

The way deals like this work, you get the maximums savings at just above the floor of the savings level, and the effective discount also increases the more you spend.

$25 off $200 saves you around 12.5%, $50 off $300 saves you 16.7%, and $100 off $500 saves you 20%.

Let’s say you’re looking to buy $460 worth of eligible tools. The price after coupon would be $410. But if you bump your order up to $510, the price after coupon would also be $410. So, it might make sense to pad your order with additional items as you approach the higher ends of the lower savings tiers.

Should you wait for another sale? Definitely not on higher ticket items. If your intended order of eligible items would come out to just over $500, the effective discount of $100 off $500+ is better than most average Acme coupon savings offers.

But if your order sits at say $260, $25 off is less than a 10% discount, and you might not be willing to pad your order to get to the next tier.

Overall, I’d say this is an excellent deal at the highest savings tier, and still a good deal at the lower savings tiers.

Dewalt ToughSystem DXL Question

Most – if not all – Dewalt ToughSystem modular tool box and DXL modular workstation products look to be eligible for the deal.

I bought 2 Dewalt DXL carts – just the roller bases – during Acme’s Valentine’s Day sale last month, and have been tempted to buy another just for the casters to use in a DIY project. Does anyone know where they could be sourced separately for less? Buying an entire cart with the unneeded base seems like a waste.

Swiveling 6″ high capacity caster wheels with brakes aren’t Dewalt-specific. Is there a reason the ones on the DXL cart are special? I would probably just Amazon something like that (or I’m sure they’re at Princess Auto here in Canada).

I’m not familiar with the casters Dewalt uses either, but I’m also curious what is so special about them. Don’t get me wrong, I have a special hatred for crappy casters, but I’ve never had a problem getting what I needed from industrial suppliers like McMaster-Carr, and quite often one can find deals on very good casters on Ebay.

Basically, 2 have foot-operated total locks, and 2 have foot-operated swivel locks.

There are a lot of 6″ casters available at industrial suppliers, but I haven’t had an easy time finding good 5″ or 6″ casters with foot-operated swivel locks. The ones I’ve found are either very pricey or require special custom ordering.

RWM, for example, makes great heavy duty casters with whatever options I could ever want. But finding specific SKUs available for purchase in pairs or sets isn’t easy.

Shopping with quality in mind but not any particular brand, and the prices exceed $50/each.

Dewalt’s seem to be custom-made, as the mounting plates have directional tabs, but I’ve been looking for casters that come close.

If you contact a caster manufacturer they’ll make anything you’d like. All those locks etc are modular options. Companies like Colson, Jilson, possibly CasterHQ, etc.

Yes. But will it be less expensive than getting another DXL base for under $200 for the 4 casters and platform?

Aside from being easy to operate with great grip, one pair of casters locks as expected, and the other pair just has a swivel lock.

I typically prefer all-swivel casters, but having one set of casters that can lock into fixed-caster mode is a very nice feature. Most times I prefer all-swivel casters, but there are times when fixed casters are better for moving a cart or workstand longer distances or in limited-clearance areas.

I source cheap casters for a lot of things, but I have a project in mind where I need something better.

That makes more sense – it does seem a bit trickier to source casters that just lockout the swivel.

This is closest to what dewalt’s look like

Those are pneumatic with total lock brakes and are $71 each not including shipping. Dewalt’s DXL gives you 2x total lock and 2x swivel lock, and don’t require air fill.

Look, they were 6″ with locking and swivel lock. 😛

I’m still trying to build a DXL with top, and I need two DXL single drawers. While the $25 off is nice, I still think $200 is steep for a drawer. Problem is, I should get them soon else … tariffs!

Most Dewalt ToughSystem tool boxes, and the DXL included, are made in Israel. Tariffs are going into effect on products imported from Canada, Mexico, and China.

I received a tower for testing, and ToolGuyd bought 2 DLX carts for business use. I could not justify it for personal use. Unless you specifically need what this offers, you could spend the same money on very good steel solutions, or less on consumer-grade alternatives. If you need or strongly want what it offers, price things out to take advantage of this offer, or wait for the next.

Related, their new 20v DCS785 12″ sliding miter saw is beginning to show up on retailer’s sites – https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-20V-XR-12-In-Dual-Bevel-Sliding-Miter-Saw/5015801601?idProductFound=false&idExtracted=true

The 10″ fixed DCS714 should also be up soon, both available around May (at the time of writing).

Stuart is pretty brutal to Dewalt. I was like oh Stuart got not one but two of those carts…for the casters! Intentionally or not, it was quite a roast! Serious though, I have done that before, especially for industrial stuff built from COTS parts. Scavenging parts is good skill to have.

No, as material transport dollies. They are just the right size to make the next couple of weeks and maybe months a lot easier. The load capacity is just right.

I spent some time looking for a good solution, needed to get something from the sample tower I’ve been testing, and realized the Dewalt DXL base would be perfect.

I loved the casters on Proto’s 550S roller cabinet – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/proto-550s-tool-storage-cabinet-review-part1/%3C/a%3E – and found ones from RWM that are come close. I bought a set for use in a workbench project (that I still haven’t made enough progress on).

After using the Dewalt DXL workstation system, and putting to use the new roller bases I bought, I see additional projects that could leverage the same casters should I be able to find them. Buying more DXL bases just for the casters seems wasteful. I also don’t know if the load rating is more for the system, or just the casters, and so I’m reluctant to use them in custom designs.

For the same price, I could get robust 5″ and maybe 6″ casters that are all-swiveling, and maybe with the option for user-installed swivel lock. I’m trying not to get hung up on it.

I’ve purchases Festool Systainer carts for use by themselves, and I’ve used Milwaukee Packout carts for the same, at least temporarily. I tried to the same with spare Bosch L-Boxx dollies, but they’re not very good for anything but L-Boxxes.

Buying a roller cabinet and ditching the cabinets for installation on a fixed base is one thing. Buy a cart base for just the casters seems very wasteful. I don’t see that as scavenging.

I think I’ve found what you need. “foot operated caster swivel lock” if the link doesn’t post.

From what I’ve seen. those tend to be brand/model specific. That seller’s suitable 6″ casters look to start at around $50 each. They have greater load capacities, but other than that the DXL platform price works out to be better.

      I also saw these – https://www.rwmcasters.com/parts-accessories/swivel-locks/ .

I like that idea – being able to add swivel locks to swivel casters, foot-mounted or removable. But where the Dewalt’s load capacity is enough, it works out well price-wise. I’m hoping that I can find similar casters at even lower pricing.
