Home Depot’s Black Friday 2020 deal on this Dewalt ToughSystem 2.0 tool box combo bundle is LIVE now, but there’s a small *but…* attached to it.
You can order the medium and large tool boxes for free shipping, but the small tool box is currently restricted to ordering online for in-store pickup.

With this deal, you save 25% on everything, knocking $50 off the bundle to drop the price from $199 to $149.
Once you add all 3 to your cart, and it does allow for the two larger boxes to be set for free shipping and the smaller box for in-store pickup, the discount is automatically applied to the total.
Or, you could pay $8.99 (potentially more) for express shipping, where the store will basically deliver a 3-piece combo to you. You could also opt for in-store pickup on everything.
My store has a single 3-tool box combo on display, and presumably they have more somewhere that are designated for in-store pickup, as the website is reporting more inventory than I’ve seen on the sales floor.

There’s a SKU for the 3pc set, but it’s still marked as an “unavailable combination.”

On Friday and Saturday morning at about 7:00am central time, the three piece set from Home Depot was available for about an hour for free shipping. I did not see that happen this morning. The small box seems to be the hold up on releasing more. They might be selling the set as more stock arrives at their warehouse, but they seem to be selling out as fast as they get them. You’ll need to watch their website like a hawk if you want one from them and have it shipped. Snagged one Friday and it arrives tomorrow.

Okay, seriously, is TSTAK hated THAT much, that NO ONE will dare put together a bundle like this in that system? It has 4 separate Cart-Type items to base it on! A Castor Base, a Cart, a Rolling Deep Box, AND A Rolling Cooler! SURELY someone can pull their heads out of their rears long enough to slap a few TSTAK boxes on top of one of these, or different sets for all 4, and offer them at an equally low price (for TSTAK.) around this time…
This is SUCH a lost opportunity for smaller storage options!

$80 for this combo looks like a decent price:

And I’d guess the price may go lower in the coming weeks.
But, of course, one can’t rely on Lowe’s to actually ship it to where you are, or have it available at the local store 😐

Got mine for 136.00 for all 3

Is it worth $30 more than the prior generation toolboxes, at $119 (22% off) from 2018?

I’m still trying to work that out.
If I were buying right now, I’d take the chance and go ToughSystem 2.0 for the updated side latches. It has proven easier to connect/disconnect so far.

The gen 2 are nicer, plus they’re are going to have half boxes and tote bags coming soon

It is never brought up on this site much, but the Rigid line is still dollar for dollar the best choice. I will stick with the Rigid line of these portable toolboxes. $100 for the same setup and as the original main player in this market, it still stands up.

Ridgid is good, but selection is limited. Ridgid boxes are a good budget choice.
