Dewalt has expanded their line of mobile charging accessories with a new 4-port USB charger, model DXMA1311328.
It’s basically a multi-port charging adapter that’s built for rugged jobsite use.

It has 4 ports, 3x USB-C, and 1x USB-A. Dewalt describes the new charger as the ultimate power station.

Here are the max power outputs for single-port use:
- USB-C: 100W
- USB-C: 100W
- USB-C: 20W
- USB-A: 18W
The max power output will decrease for multi-device charging; according to the product images, it seems that the two 100W USB-C ports drop to 50W total when both are in use.

Dewalt advertises that the charger works with their battery adapter, reviewed here: Dewalt USB-C PD Charging Kit Review.

According to the product video, the charger is wall-mountable, presumably via keyhole screw slots.

The charging adapter ships by itself with a removable port cord.
You’ll need 100W charging cables to use with the 100W ports. I use an Anker cable from Amazon, and you can buy Dewalt cables in multiple lengths.

Price: $90

You can get non-tool-brand charging adapters for less – I posted about my Anker charger recently.
Dewalt says their charger has a “drop safe rugged housing.”
The Dewalt 100W 4-port USB charging adapter looks more jobsite-friendly, and is color-matched to the brand’s tools. You’ll have to determine if that’s worth the premium.

Happy New Year Stuart. Thank you for all you do. lets have a great 2025!!!
Stuart
Thank you, Happy New Year to you too!

Looks handy. I like the feature where you can plug this into the existing power device that plugs into the 20v max batteries. The rugged housing is nice but how useful is it really? Do you really need drop protection for a charging brick?
Completely different subject but I received an email from Tool Nut today and it was talking about new lower pricing on some Festool items. I was shocked. You hardly ever hear about Festool price reductions.
Bonnie
Yeah, I question how much “tougher” this thing actually is. Have they included any drop test certifications?
fred
Several Festool authorized dealers have and continue to advertise certain items being on sale at lower prices. While there is some commonality about what’s on sale – not everyone has the exact same list. It seems like that this might be more of as clearance or promotion to move stuff that is not selling well.
Stuart
You can use the Dewalt USB adapter to recharge 20V Max batteries from any USB-C source. It comes with a 65W power adapter but can be charged with other sources up to 100W, such as this one.
I’ve spoken with retailers about “discounted” and “new lower pricing” on Festool tools, and they’ve all said that there’s zero flexibility until a tool, part, or bundle is discontinued.
Festool regularly increases prices, and on extremely rare occasion some parts or accessories go down in price a little. That could also be what the “new lower pricing” is referring to. Clicking through, there aren’t actually any tools on sale.

Stuart –
Ben said it!
Mike
Just what the world needed. More chargers!
Alexk
+1 what Ben said.
Does Dewalt develop this or just put their name on it? Are their cords built any tougher than another brand in the same price range?

In another article, it was pointed out that DX part numbers are used for licensed products (not Dewalt’s own).

Just a math thing, 50+20+18=88 not 98, still close to 100
Stuart
Whoops! I got 88, then went back and got 98 twice.
Okay, so you get 100W out of either port, or 50W max for each when both are used.
There’s no info regarding how the 100W is distributed when 3 or all 4 ports are used.

It does not fit a need of mine, not even five years ago. This looks more like colorful promo product to give away. YMMV.
More appropriate would be 250-300W so you can charge 2 batteries or run a laptop while charging 1 battery.
My vehicle already has 400W 120VAC. My tiny battery-powered ‘generator’ outputs 250W. Modern business laptops are in the 60-120W range. The down-sizing of this charger looks like cost-cutting to me.
Was the intent that consumers buy more AC battery chargers, and only use this fir smaller accessories? I’d rather carry the in/out battery toppers instead of a bulky battery charging dock. (Ironically, more sales for DeWalt.)
If they wanted to be a charging station for everyone’s phones in the middle if a jobsite (or near a generator), then they are still several ports and a lot of watts shy of doing that.
Nathan
There is also usually compounding thermal limitations the more charging capability you stuff into a single shell. Most chargers are unable to handle their ‘max’ wattage for longer than 15-20 minutes.
The vast majority of people would be better off using a power strip and several indepdent chargers velcro’d on. It also stops the issue of people robbing power by overloading multiport chargers or just plugging in low power devices onto high power ports.
Even a 4 outlet surge protector could give two true 140w dedicated chargers and two 4-port 140W chargers for phones and batteries.

I’ll just go with: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
And 10-4.

Would bite for $20. For $90 I’ll stick to multiple charging bricks in the shop.

I’m surprised that the other tool companies (Makita, Milwaukee, et.al) haven’t climbed on this bandwagon also…. The margins & markup must be huge.
Stuart
They’re licensed products. Amazon seems to move a lot, and I often see displays at Home Depot.
I don’t think there would be as much profit in this for other tool brands.
Milwaukee includes branded USB cables with their RedLithium USB accessories, but I’ve never heard anyone say they wished they could have bought them separately.
Chuck
I’d like to see dust covers over the USB ports. I’m assuming you are going to have to hit these with an air compressor pretty frequently unless the cables stay plugged in.
Otherwise I’d think the laptop chargers with permanently connected USB-C cables would be more suited for a job site. Maybe even wireless chargers if you are only charging phones.
Steven Phillips
Neat! But it’s not worth the price to me.
SteveP
Ryobi claimed to have a smaller, cheaper USB charger. I thought it was to pair with their newer USB lithium 4V tools/gadgets. But it doesn’t really exist. I’ve gone to three HD stores that say they have stock without success, and I have ordered online twice only to have the order canceled within an hour. Perhaps it was withdrawn from sale due to some problem, or perhaps there’s a bigger/better model coming

Stuart
I posted about that a few months ago https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/ryobi-usb-charger/%3C/a%3E .
There’s no comparison between the two models.
If they’re cancelling your order, it could be that your store has remnant inventory they cannot find or similar.
SteveP
Yes, quite different, but the cost/feature ratio is not bad. Compared to a typical Apple-branded (not knockoff) charger, for example. Ryobi’s 4V line has a built in USB C port, so I’d have used their charger as you suggested – its bright color would make it less likely to be lost
But two different HD stores have canceled my online orders, and I didn’t see it available from other sources when I looked
