These Dewalt wireless earphones are being recalled for posing a burn and fire hazard. The model number is DXMA1902091.

According to the CPSC recall notice, this Dewalt Jobsite Pro wireless earphones can overheat while charging or in use, posing burn and fire hazards.

More than 300,000 units are being recalled. The earphones were sold at Home Depot, Lowe’s and other hardware stores, electronics stores, and online vendors from December 2019 thru July 2021.
The OEM, E-filliate, has received 61 reports of overheating incidents, 5 of which involved fire and 4 that involved minor burn injuries.
If you own this product, immediately stop using it. Contact E-filliate to receive a prepaid shipping label. Once they receive your recalled earphones, they will send you a free replacement.

I find this comment interesting and have a sincere question regarding it. Please feel free to reply as I want to make sure I don’t fall for this again as I did purchase these and have since submitted the form. How can you identify on the packaging that it is a rebranded product of lesser quality? Dewalt being heavy in R&D like Milwaukee is at the forefront of jobsite innovation so its not hard to just trust the optics. I believe it even has a limited lifetime guarantee slapped on it. I feel like I missed a critical read on the packaging.

With DeWalt, any product p/n that begins with “DX” is a licensed/rebranded product and not actually made by DeWalt.

This is definitely useful information regarding the DeWalt DX part numbers… Today I learned!
Though to the original commenter’s statement… just because something is rebranded or OEM’d doesn’t necessarily mean it is “junk”… and often the biggest issue is determining whether it IS in fact a junk product or not, regardless of who the original equipment manufacturer was. And this is, unfortunately, much more easily said than done in many cases.

Stanley – SBD has a range of GTIN (aka UPC here in the USA) numbers that they use on products for which they are OEM.
In this case the UPC is 0826341042826.
The first four number (082634 ) are associated with Efilliate
Dewalt products bearing UPC’s starting with 674326 are another example – in this case the OEM is Radians. UPCs starting 704660 indicate Century Craft Industries as the OEM. UPC’s starting 844841 indicate Bond Mfg- Dorcy as the OEM.
Dewalt products with UPC’s starting 028873 (Black & Decker), 076174 (Stanley) , 5025536 (B&D UK) and 885911 (B&D) likely have an SBD company as the OEM
There are likely other examples – but these are ones that I know about.

I own these and sound quality is pretty good and they are loud which I like, you get more expensive brands and they have great sound quality but they are low volume it hS to be totally quiet to hear them

And they are waterproof, the battery lasts all day & you can answer your calls on the headset & use seri to call people without touching your phone. It also has a record button on the headset, mash it & record important conversations

So when do the replacements get shipped? 45 days without the product my wife paid good money for as my Christmas present. I am thinking if they don’t come soon, maybe time to start class action. Dewalt and Home Depot should have had a plan in place when they announced the recall.

Hey I had a pair bought from a lowes in the Las Vegas burbs bout 15 minutes from the strip (date was march 2020 right around the time That famous picture of the empty strip hit) and they worked great lost my receipt about 6 weeks go by I love em plug em into the usb on the light at the hotel go to sleep wake up and look at my headphones where the charging port was was all charged at the edges and the charger was ruined… went to a lowes in Kentucky where we were staying took the headphones in to swap out after it burned up and the lady (maybe 18-21) at the front hassled me about the missing rubber piece like ma’am the battery burnt out physically and you’re more concerned with those but just found mine in storage bout to return em this time it just stopped recharging and battery life dropped after a few months
