Acme Tools’ Last Brand Standing sales event kicked off today with tool deals on 4 popular tool brands – Dewalt, Diablo, Crescent, and Metabo HPT.
Some of these deals are really good, and we’re seeing compounding discounts on some of them.
The deals are valid today only, 3/10/25, with the countdown timer indicating an end time of 11:59pm ET.

Coupon code TOOLGUYD still works on at least some of the items. It takes $10 off $79+ orders and is one use per customer with a 30-day reset.
Dewalt Tool Deals
Dewalt Compound Pliers 3pc Set – $24.99
Dewalt 5pc Oscillating Multi-Tool Accessory Set – $24.99
Dewalt ToughSystem 3-Drawer Tool Box – $108
$108 is a very low price for the 3-drawer tool box. It’s a great portable tool chest, even if you’re not into Dewalt’s ToughSystem modular system.
At the time of this posting, the TOOLGUYD coupon code is still working – it doesn’t normally stack on top of other promos – and drops the price to $98 plus $6.49 shipping. Or, if you buy 2, the price drops to $206 for both, plus tax, but you get free shipping.

For comparison purposes, Home Depot has the same tool box for $138.95 right now. Amazon has it for the same price.
Dewalt Deep Pro Organizer – $12.49
We don’t see deals on the Deep Pro organizer anymore; in recent years, the Black Friday deal has been on the shallow organizer. This deeper model has 10 removable bins, a clear lid, and a weather seal.
Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Power Cleaner – $94
Diablo Tool Deals
Diablo 2pc Oscillating Multi-Tool Blade Set – $12.94
Diablo 8pc Speedemon Spade Drill Bit Set – $12.97
Diablo 14pc Reciprocating Saw Blade Set – $19.97

That’s $109 for the cordless brad nailer, a battery, and a charger.

Metabo HPT Air Siding Coil Nailer – $229
Metabo HPT 18V Cordless Triple Hammer Impact Driver Kit + Bonus Bit Set – $149
Metabo HPT 16 Ga Crown Stapler – $199
Again, the deals end at 11:59pm ET on 3/10/25. We’ll see new deals tomorrow.
Home Depot Tool Deals of the Day – 3/10/25
Home Depot has a flash sale, featuring Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ridgid, and Ryobi cordless power tools, hand tools, accessories, and more.
A lot of the tool deals are repeats from the past few weeks, but many are decent bargains that are worth considering.
For example, you can get a 4-pack of Milwaukee M18 High Output 6Ah batteries for $314, or a Milwaukee 30pc combination wrench set for $179. They also have the Dewalt 20V Max 4Ah battery for $54.97, which seems to be a very good price.

I picked up the same Metabo HPT brad nailer kit a few months ago during a Lowes sale and have been extremely happy with it. I know it is not the most premium model, but it has done a lot of work for me already on trim work. I would recommend it to anyone who needs occasional use of a brad nailer.

Acme …wtf? There is a limit of 2, so ok. But even trying to add one, I get:
Only “0” items in stock. Selected quantity for “DEWALT Deep Pro Organizer” cannot be added to the cart.
Come on Acme, put “Out of stock” on the item. Bummer as I need two for assorted lags, bolts, and fasteners.

And… now its changed to Notify me. So, might remove that link Stuart…they out.
Bonnie
Still doing the “0 in stock” BS for me. Irritating either way.
rob masek
Same for me, I was about to buy 50.
fred
I guess that was too low a price (I paid $22.97 for the last 2 that I purchased on Amazon) for many to pass up. Maybe some would be resellers jumped on it and bought them out.

I love that Dewalt power cleaner. Just the right pressure to spray off the decks and patio furniture. I use it for all kinds of stuff.

I’ve been looking around for a deal on a 6-1/2″ or 7-1/4″ blade-right cordless circular saw. Prefer DeWalt, though Milwaukee would work. Anybody have any leads?
Stuart
Almost all 6-1/2″ are blade-left, and almost all 7-1/4″ are blade-right (except for rear-handle worm drive-style).
I think you might have to wait a couple of weeks for the next round of
broad promos, as we’re between deals seasons right now.

Thanks Stuart!

Is there a particular reason for the orientations related to blade size?
Stuart
From what I recall, 6-1/2″ saws emerged or were at least popularized when cordless power tool batteries and motors were a lot weaker. Left-facing blades are often considered to provide better visibility for right-handed users. I’m not sure that was the intent, but I’ve never been given other explanations.
(You will also find that most if not all small blade size cut-off tools are also left-facing, presumably for the same reason – cutline visibility.)
18V-class 7-1/4″ saws emerged when brushless motors came out and could deliver “corded-like” performance.
Corded 7-1/4″ saws were typically right-facing, and so I believe the cordless ones were designed similarly in order to be familiar for anyone converting from corded to cordless.
Why are slotted and Phillips screwdriver tip sizes still around when others still exist? Imperial units vs the metric system? People tend to be comfortable with what they know.
Bosch is the only cordless brand I know to have both right and left-facing sidewinder-style circular saws. https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/bosch-cordless-circular-saws-gks18v-22/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E

It looks like Makita also has both blade-left and blade-right saws in 6 1/2″.
