Ergodyne ProFlex Mini Kneeling Pad Used at Jobsite

Ergodyne, a Klein Tools company, has a ProFlex 365 mini kneeling pad that offers thick padding and ultimate portability.

You know how they say the best tool is the one you have with you? I think that could apply here.

Ergodyne ProFlex Mini Kneeling Pad Attached to Belt Loop

The Ergodyne ProFlex mini kneeling pad is designed for convenient portability.

The standard model has a small cut-out with a webbing loop attached.

Ergodyne ProFlex Mini Kneeling Pad Connection Options

Other versions of the mini kneeling pad come with an accessory carabiner or Squids Grabber glove clip for alternative carry options.

Ergodyne ProFlex Mini Kneeling Pad Size Comparison

The mini kneeling pad measures 6″ long by 4″ wide, and has the same 1″ foam padding thickness as Ergodyne’s larger kneeling pads.

Price: ~$9 (without accessories)

Discussion

I know what you’re thinking. How much for that small little kneeling pad?

This mini kneeling pad attaches to your belt or tool bag just in case you need it, and you can still have a larger one in your truck or kit.

Once again, the best kneeling pad is the one you have with you.

I can see this coming in handy.

If you’re thinking “I need two of these!” you might be better off with a single larger kneeling pad. Amazon has Ergodyne’s next most-compact kneeling pad for $19.

I don’t see knee pads fulfilling the same role:

      a) You wear knee pads when you expect to work on your knees.
      b) You carry a tiny clip-on pad just-in-case you happen to kneel.

If you’re in group A, get some knee pads. They make way more sense. They’ll be more comfortable, durable, easier to reposition, etc.

On the other hand, if you don’t wear knee pads because you aren’t expecting to work on your knees, you might not have anything at all.

This won’t be a product everyone needs, but it’s a clever idea for someone who wouldn’t bother with knee pads but occasionally needs to kneel.

I’m all for buying things I don’t need but I could make 3 of these out of the $5 kneeling pad from HF in a few minutes.

That said, I will use your affiliate link to buy a few pairs of the glove clips. I always see associates at Lowe’s using them and think “I want that”

I saw this in the list of what people were buying on Prime Day, and it seemed neat.

I think it’s convenient and might allow pros to more easily bring a knee pad where they otherwise wouldn’t or couldn’t. For 2, it seems more economical to get something else.

This is my favorite regular-sized kneeling pad – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/best-kneeling-pad/%3C/a%3E .

Home Depot has a thick Husky pad for $15. I don’t like it as much, but it’s half the price for users that are more cost-conscious. I have one I use for outdoor work in the dirt and rocks.

It might not look as elegant, but one can absolutely DIY their own mini kneeling pad. Cut a slot, add some webbing and a slip lock buckle, and you’ve got a carrying option.

To be honest, the idea of a mini-pad with a clip hadn’t occurred to me, and seems like a really good idea whether I buy it or DIY it! I appreciate the post.

…although I think I might try to make mine entirely orange, if I can find a decent orange pad, because a black one is just gonna get left somewhere stupid and then I’ll spend twenty minutes trying to find it a week later.

Could be nice for snapping out a house or something- up and down a lot, walking around a lot. I have one, but tend to forget it when I could be using it.

Interesting. All this time, I’ve been using my old Cabelas deerstand pad for when on roof, as it doesn’t slip. And has loop but much to big to put on toolbelt. But man, I don’t recall paying $70 for it. Oh..the Erodyne XL is $63 so… you’re call.

    Protect your knees. Repeat.

(I have set of knee pads, hard shell. The straps always dig into the back of my legs, or not tight enough slip down. So I bought a pair of Duluth works with separate knee pad inserts. Cavaets are not comfy in hot weather, clumsy sometimes walking and usually forget I have them to wear)

Like eddiesky, I got frustrated with the add-on knee pads slipping, bought a pair of another brand with built in knee pads. Now the pads always touch down and protect where my knee is hitting, much better.
One of my best purchases, like he says, “protect your knees.”
The pants are wearing out at other points, even though they are duck canvas. Need to buy another pair.

This thing looks great until I put it down somewhere and can’t find it again.

I wonder if putting it on a retractable leash, like the kind used in corporate ID badges for scanning into businesses would work. Or if the up-and down is more annoying that occasionally walking off without it.

They really should sell it with a little retractable reel, like used for door cards and ID badges, with a long enough cord to leave it clipped to your belt. Pull it out, kneel on it. When you stand up, it automatically retracts. It would make it tougher to lose though not impossible.

OK….a little overpriced but have one and use it all the time. Great for quick kneel when pads overkill a d you are in hurry. When you are over 50 you need something for even a few seconds on your knees. Size is perfect

I received one of these as a stocking stuffer last year and I keep it clipped to my range bag. Its nice to be able to take a knee in comfort while out shooting if I need to.

Yesterday I was kneeling in gravel, working on an outdoor bench. It wasn’t long enough or painful enough to go get a pad from my car, but it made me think of this post. This seems like a good idea, but I don’t think it would get much use. If I saw it in person, it might be an impulse buy.

I have an issue with my knees – bone spurs, which make kneeling very painful. I decided to try this along with a Heavy Duty Retractable Keychain with Magnetic Closure with a 31″ cord. This may be a waste of money, but if it works and I remember to have it with me – it will make things a lot easier. Thanks.
