Hot Father’s Day Tool Brand Deals (2016)

Dewalt 20 off 100 Fathers Day 2016 Deal

It’s that time of year again – Spring Cleaning! Time to wash some windows, scrub some decks, and… just kidding, it’s Father’s Day deal time!

Amazon’s power and hand tool brand deals just went live, making now a great time to check your tool shopping list. While the discounts should be available for several weeks, more popular tools sometimes sell out. You should be able to still order them, but shipping and delivery might be delayed a little.

Along with the similar winter holiday shopping season, this is my favorite time to buy power tool lots, hand tools, small storage products, and power tool accessories.

The discounts should appear at checkout automatically, and they require that Amazon be the seller, as opposed to a marketplace vendor. Not everything from these brands are eligible for the discounts. Check the promo pages for more details.

Discount Info Page

Dewalt: $20 off $100, exp. 6/19/2016
Bosch: $20 off $100 Cordless Tools, exp. 5/20/2016
Makita: $20 off $100, exp 6/22/2016

Black & Decker: $10 off $50, exp. 6/19/2016
Tekton: $10 off $50, exp. 6/19/2016
Little Giant: Save on Select Ladders, exp. 6/19/2016

Stanley: $10 off $50, exp. 6/19/2016
SOG: $10 off $50, exp. 6/19/2016
Extech: 20% off Select Products, exp. 6/30/2016
Chef Works: up to 20% off, exp. unknown

Bostitch: $20 off $100, exp. 6/19/2016
Porter Cable: $20 off $100, exp. 6/19/2016
Hitachi: $25 off $100 select tools, exp. 6/19/2016

Ingersoll Rand: 15% off select air & power tools, exp. 6/11/2016
Gerber: $10 off $50, exp. 6/19/2016

The Bosch deal has an early expiration date, and also features cordless power tools. What I’m thinking is that there will be a new deal when 5/21 rolls around, such as $20 off $100+ for a greater range of tools, or maybe $40 off $200+. We’ll have to wait and see.

What are you going to buy, and will it be for you or Dad?

A different type of deal, Lowes is clearing out the older Dewalt brushless kits (I think you mentioned this would happen) The DCK281C2 brushless drill and impact kit is now the same price as their standard brushed drill and impact combo at $199 thru 6/1.

Hmm, so there’s the DCK281C2 deal at Home Depot, and the DCK281D2 kit at Amazon.

They’re not clearancing out the kit; that Home Depot kit looks to be a “special buy” meant to sell at the lower $199 price.

Dewalt originally bundled their 20V Max XR brushless tools with 2.0Ah batteries. The C2 part of the model number means that special buy kit comes with 1.5Ah batteries. The D2 part of the regular kit model number means it comes with 2.0Ah batteries.

That HD kit is a good buy, but you’re not quite getting the same thing.

The choice is $250 (after $20 discount) for the regular kit, or $199 for the kit with lesser batteries.

OR, what I would do, is buy the new brushless combo kit, DCK283D2, for $259 – $20 promo = $239 final price. That’s what I would do unless on a strict $200 budget.

Yes, it’s $40 more than the HD deal, but you get the latest tools and 2 higher capacity battery packs.

Looking to pick up the rigid 3 peice box set. Do you think that deal will come around again when if you bought all 3 the small one was free?

It’s hard to say; that promo isn’t very predictable, and you can’t tell my inventory either since stores don’t carry a lot of any of the sizes even when they were on sale for the holidays.

Do you know if Dewalts new brushless and light combo line will be out before this deal expires? I know the NDA prohibits dealers from talking about it but I heard it is suppose to be amazing.

Might use as an excuse this to get into the Bosch 12v line and get the hand held vacuum. Sending my wife an Amazon wish list now….

Acme seems to have some deals on Milwaukee and many other brands that I posted on Tool Talk:

Check out Home Depot; it’ll be hit or miss, but the Phenix City, AL store had a few M12 Fuel drill driver and impact driver kits for half off. I believe they are $130, originally $260.

For better or worse, I’m about to the point where holiday sales don’t really do anything for me tool-wise. Clearance deals are always a good find, though, such as the DeWalt pancake compressor with brad nailer that I’ve found at a couple of HD stores for $115.04.

CPO has some interesting stacking going on now on Milwaukee (has been for several weeks). They have a free XC 4.0 batt with select tools and kits, a free set of charger, bag, 2x 2Ah batts if you buy two bare tools, and also a 10% off bare tools, which all stacks. If you’re looking to add some bare tools, it’s not a bad deal. I got the fuel hackzall bare (which has the free 4.0 batt), and a right angle drill, which then qualified for the other deal, took 10% off it all, and was out the virtual door for a little under $200 for both tools, with all the freebies.

It seems that you can only receive $20 off per customer, is that correct? Even if buying 2 separate orders of over $100 each?

Are you experiencing this, or asking?

In the past, I was able to place many multiple orders during promo seasons.

        Stuart,
I was asking, but I placed one order anyways and now it is still showing the additional discount on my potential second purchase in cart.

Seems contradictory to the details of the promotion, but if it it works it works.

Okay, good, that’s what I thought.

The discount worked for me repeatedly in the past, even when ordering the same item again in multiple orders.

Not a brand wide deal, but Gearwrench flex head 6 piece sets are half off at Sears.com right now.

Yep just picked those flex head 6 piece Gearwrench sets up yesterday in SAE and Metric for $29/set. Also got along the Craftsman branded real Knipex 7.5 and 10 inch Cobras set for $35. Added a 50 pack of utility knife blades, and was able to use a $20 off coupon. All that for like $83.

Father’s Day promo? The DW715 was $199 last holiday season: https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/black-friday-2015-miter-saw-deals/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E

It’s currently $219 at Amazon too.

I was in Home Depot this morning and they have the isles stacked with what seems like Ryobi pre-Father’s Day deals. Nothing jumped out at me as over the top great, but it seemed there were a number of tool only items for $10-$20 off regular price and also deals on larger tool kits.

Of note from a prior post, the Ryobi inflator was dropped to $20. I was thinking of grabbing it, but was more interested in the larger inflator/deflator. the larger unit, priced at $40, did not have a price drop.

Anyone seen a deal on dewalt outdoor 40v? Saw an add on amazon…

I was perusing the amazon mobile app at 2am this morning and saw a deal for $30 off bare tool dewalt 40v outdoor lawn equipment. I went to cart with it and didn’t see a discount and I can’t find it anywhere this morning on the app or the site.

Maybe they were testing out the ad but aren’t ready to release the promotion, but hopefully this means its an upcoming deal?

    Anyone have any clues?

Any chance we’ll see a Milwaukee Fuel combo driver/impact combo?
I’ve been holding out for a Milwaukee Fuel drill & impact combo, hoping it will come on sale for Father’s day (my old DeWalt has finally given up the ghost after many years of service).
