Ridiculous Flex Stack Pack Deal at Lowe’s!

Flex Stack Pack Tool Box Deal at Lowes

Lowe’s has ridiculously low pricing on this Flex rolling tool box at Lowe’s, model FS1101, where you can get it for just $59 with free shipping.

Other Flex dealers have the same tool box priced at $139 right now. $59 for a $139 tool box is a huge discount!

The only catch is that you have to be a Lowe’s member, which is free. Once you sign in, the tool box goes from $99 to $59, with the $40 savings reflected in your shopping cart.

This is what you should see in your cart.

Should you buy it? If you need a rolling tool box, the price seems very good.

If you’re looking to buy into a modular tool box system, Flex Stack Pack is decent but far from my favorite. I can recommend their tool boxes, but wouldn’t choose or recommend them over other tool box systems that I consider to be much better, such as Milwaukee Packout.

I visited my local Lowe’s the other day, and they didn’t have any Flex Stack Pack products. I checked the upper shelves as well, looking for holiday season inventory, and couldn’t find a single box. My Lowe’s store had plenty of Craftsman, Kobalt, and ToughSystem tool boxes, and also Klein ModBox in the pro section, but nothing from Flex.

Yes, it’s absolutely a steal of a deal at $59, although I’m concerned about why the price is so low.

The substantial $80 discount on this tool box – approximately 58% off the $139 price other retailers are selling it for – is highly unusual. Maybe they’re working on Gen 2 and Lowe’s is clearing out some warehouse space?

Thank you to Josephus for the heads-up!

Update: They Nixed the Offer

Lowes Cancelled Flex Stack Pack Tool Box Deal at Lowes Screen Capture

It looks like maybe they only had a couple available. The price went back to $99, and only delivery is available. Delivery from the nearest stocking store to me is $79.

Sorry folks, hopefully some of you were able to get in on this.

I wasn’t signed in. Now I see it as $59. Maybe I should read your whole article before commenting next time…

Sorry, I hoped the screen capture would help. I’ll put the “once you sign in” part in bold.

I formatted the article for minimal reading (e.g. price in the image, links at the top and bottom), because I hate when a site forces you to read multiple paragraphs to get to the point, but maybe that wasn’t the best idea.

Wow…the inventory was going down as I was trying to find a closer store. Discount did not apply to 2 in the same cart, so I’m in for one.

      Curb-side pickup a couple of hours ago. $60 because I had a $5 Lowe’s reward on account.

      Thanks for the link.

I wonder if it’s a price glitch since it’s $40 off and then $40 off when you sign in. Maybe was supposed to be one or the other.

It looks like they cancelled the offer, and I’m now seeing a shipping availability issue – see the screen capture included in the update above.

I wonder if this is a Hail Mary to get people into the system…or a mistake? If they were going to discontinue these already I’d think everything would be on clearance.

I bought one at $59 to confirm it worked before commenting here. Guess I got lucky. Will be picking it up tomorrow hopefully, it’s flagged “available for pickup” already.

Needed something to put my tools in that’s not a heavy bag and since the rolling box was *cheaper than the accessory cases* I figured why not.

This is precisely why I never expect a positive outcome in dealing with Lowe’s.
Not since they bought Orchard Supply, expanded it greatly and overnight abandoned and closed every single store. What was that? Five or six years ago?
I’ve only gone in based on the faint “possibility” of seeing something new or interesting but with the exception of the toy-like pink, white, red and blue 2 drawer “mechanics” boxes never find a darn thing to bother with. And those simply became gifts for none “Toolguyd-like” friends. Grumble grumble.

They had a lot of the items showing extra money off when added to cart this morning. The 3 tool Kobalt XTR combo was showing $89, I’m not on their 24v platform but not gonna lie, that was tempting! I just looked again and most of what I saw earlier that was really good doesn’t have the same final price. They also are, or were, doing spend $50 or more and get $5 in rewards back. I actually went in store this morning and purchased something, got my $5 reward a few minutes later. Stopped back by this evening because I needed something else and spent over $50 again. No $5 reward this time and I don’t see anything about it anymore unless I’m totally missing something? They better be planning to refresh their deals if this is supposedly going to last 10 days….

So many of the Lowe’s deals are kinda crazy, have an extended offer window, but then don’t last long enough to blink. Rather than become more impulsive in purchases, I have become more skeptical with a long and growing list of disappointments. A few of those disappointments are related to doing careful research on a product, then simply trying to pay full price only to find it discontinued at checkout. I’ve had many checkouts where the availability shifts as I’m submitting payment.

Whatever algorithm they are using to dump product is way too aggressive, and I don’t understand how a company that seems to be keen on the vanguard of digital tech can’t put a timed hold on items in cart.

This looks similar to Rona and Rona affiliates in Canada (Rona was previously Lowes in Canada).

They have had 50% or more on Flex tools and Flex Stack products for a while now, and still do. I just checked and they have about a dozen Flex products left, most deeply discounted.

Like you said Stuart, great prices, but a bit concerning for the future of Flex.

I wonder if they will ship to US? The exchange rate is not horrible and the discount makes it even better. I would not pay what Lowe’s is asking for the organizers relative to the price I paid for the rolling toolbox itself. The toolbox itself is fairly sturdy and will do nicely for DIY home use.

I checked and Rona’s system does not allow for shipping to US addresses. Customer service (online text chat) is already offline so I couldn’t ask them. The 22″ organizer box would have been $37 USD before shipping. Dang.

Member discount is now $40 – net price $99. Of course, it is out of stock at my local Lowes but they will ship it to me for only $79 more. Total price $178 – typical Lowes

Think I will pass – like my Ridgid boxes
