Flex 24V 5Ah Starter Kit + 1 FREE Tool

Buy this Flex 24 starter kit, with 5Ah battery and charger, and pick a FREE tool.
The free tool selection includes a wide range of tools, with values up to $199 (brushless router) and even $269 (brushless band saw).
This looks to be a fantastic deal for new or existing Flex cordless power tool users.
Price: $169
Thank you to Ravi for the heads-up!
Some of the free tool choices are incredibly good values. It also looks like all of the “free tool” offers have the same options.
Flex 24V Stacked Lithium Starter Kit + 1 FREE Tool

There’s a similar promo where you buy this Flex 24V Stacked Lithium starter kit and choose 1 free tool.
With this deal, you get the pouch-cell 3.5Ah battery instead of the more traditional-tech 5Ah battery.
Price: $199
Flex 24V 4-Tool Cordless Combo Kit + 1 FREE Tool

Here, you buy the Flex 4-tool cordless power tool combo kit and choose 1 free tool.
The combo kit comes with a cordless drill/driver, impact driver, reciprocating saw, flashlight, 2x compact 2.5Ah batteries, charger, and tool bag.
All of the tools, except for the flashlight of course, feature brushless motors. This is true across the entire Flex 24V cordless power tool platform.
The choice of free tool is the same here as for the other promos.
Price: $299
Flex Stack Pack Modular Tool Box Discount

Flex has a “buy more, save more” deal at multiple retailers right now, where you can save up to $120 on their modular Stack Pack tool boxes.
- $50 off $199+
- $90 off $299+
- $120 off $399+
Preorders for Flex’s latest releases, a 3-drawer tool box, open crate, and tote bag, are also eligible for the deal.
Not all Flex Stack Pack products qualify for the discount, so shop carefully.
Mike (that one)
I was looking at Lowes last night and just felt like meh. No compelling reason to add a charger to my rainbow. The Milwaukee M18 router is a better deal with 2 batteries.

The 299 deal isn’t available at acme anymore, they raised it to 399. I remember seeing it last week though.
The acme deal was better than the lowes deal cause Acme offers up the 1inch rotary hammer as part of the free tool. Hopefully it will be back.
Most people don’t collect flex though. Still the other deals are pretty good. The compact cordless bandsaw is being offered. The only other company I’ve seen offer a bandsaw as a bonus recently is Dewalt. But that one is the atomic one , which has a
1 3/4 capacity. The flex one has a 2 1/2 capacity. The flex router looks pretty great too.

The bandsaw does seem to be a very good deal. I have been casually looking for one and this is a damn good price.
Mr B
I have had problems with new Flex tools from Lowes having leaking batteries. So far 2 of my 3 batteries have leaked: a 5ah and 2.5 ah battery. I called Flex, they acknowledged the problem and quickly replaced them. So kudos to Flex customer support.
The leak was a brownish to black oily substance. It turns out they have a plastic “heat sponge” material that turns to goo. Supposedly they have corrected the problem, but it makes me think it’s just a matter of time before the new material turns to goo like many plastics do.
I am assuming the new stacked lithium batteries do not have this problem. Anyone else have leaking Flex batteries?
Ravi
I just discovered this! Thanks for calling it out. I’ll follow up with them. I didn’t see that 3.5 stacked deal. I would have rather got a smaller battery vs the 5.0 I have now with the new router.
Don+Julio
I too have seen the goo. It was a 2.5ah. Thanks for the call out! I’ll look into this with Flex.
Meanwhile*: I have both of the DeWalt 6.0ah and 8.0ah batteries that have never fully charged. Got them on deals so I never complained.
My yellow or black 18650 cell batteries all still work fine.
*Sorry for the tangent, Stuart. I know it’s a busy time, but perhaps a post on battery fails
And solutions might be useful at some point.
Stuart
The risk of personal injury and property damage is too great.
When I have a battery problem, I consult with the manufacturer, and that’s the only action I would recommend to others.
Don+Julio
Understood. I wasn’t suggesting DIY solutions. More like “Is this a lemon or a grove?” and what manufacturers have been helpful.

I started my flex collection this summer and haven’t had them leak yet. I have the angle grinder and hammer drill both 99 each from Acme tools. The grinder came with one 5 ah and the drill came with one 2.5 and one 5.ah . I remember Acme tools ran out of stock and there was a delay in shipping. I assume my tools and batteries were new stock. I’m not a contractor using my tools everyday though but I have a depleted my battery a several times and got them really hot.
Jesse
I have had leaking batteries they replace them but they say don’t leave in direct sunlight also which is kind of hard working outside and some bs great tools but denf need to fix battery problem. 1 of my leaking batteries shorted out my flex radio and they also replaced my radio I didn’t know y it shorted out but I’m 99% that’s y
