I’ve used the Freud blades quite a bit and I like them a lot. They seem to be a fair amount thinner than most other blades, so they cut a little easier. Not necessarily a big deal with a corded reciprocating saw, but definitely with cordless. The biggest issue I have with them is that they tend to break off easier, usually back at the tool.
I bought one of the carbide tipped blades a while back and it is holding up pretty well. After a fair amount of use, it definitely dulled down some, but all of the teeth are intact. I found that it works great for cutting the old horsehair plaster in my house. The teeth on most blades just wear away, but the carbide tips seem to hold up very well.

Thanks. Just today I had to cut a lot of wood at work to make some shelves. All guys have their own circular saws with different blades. At times like these, it shows the machines truth and the blades truth.
We ended up using the cheap circular with a good blade. It was cutting like butter…so just based on the blade technology outshine the rest. This made our job easier and made me a new buyer of that brand…having said that, thanks for this…free is free and I’m sure I will test it out.

Got my free blade in the mail today. It looks to be a hair thicker than other blades in my box. I have some DeWalt, Milwaukee, a few five-star, and some no name brand.
I don’t know if all the blades in this series are heavier, or if this one is a bit thicker, because it is a bit longer than my other blades of that type. I got the metal cutting blade, just for clarification.

Just got mine today. Thanks for the heads up Stewart! Been wanting to try this brand’s blades. Seems much sharper than my dewalt blade when new. I got the 9″ for Nail embedded wood.

I use the diablo 6 inch blade to cut up ac or dc motors for copper and brass the bigger the teeth the quicker they cut thru sometimes as much as 1 inch steel in less then a minute. I buy them at garage sales for little or almost free some times as long as they are new even if they are rusty they still cut like a new one.
