Giveaway: Win a Goldblatt Concrete, Masonry, Tile, or Drywall Tool Package!

Goldblatt Professional Tools

One of our sponsors, Goldblatt Tools (read more about them here), asked us if we’d hold a giveaway. Sure, I said, but I would want to check out the tools myself first.

So a few days later, a big box of Goldblatt professional tools arrived for my evaluation. I’ve used some of these types of tools before, but others are well beyond my familiarity. But from what I’ve seen and can tell, these are some decent tools.

A few months ago I reviewed Goldblatt levels, and I’ve used them a couple of times since then – a few times even reaching for them before my own personal levels. My experience with Goldblatt tools has been a little limiting, but I’ll probably put some of the sample package of tools to use in the next few months if not weeks.

I’ve been checking for them at my local Lowes every so often, and it looks like a new drywall tool display went up before the holiday season kicked off.

Prize Options:

Goldblatt is supplying 4 different tool kits, with each targeting a specific trade or application. 5 winners will be selected at random to receive the tool set of their choosing.

But there’s more. Goldblatt is actually willing to supply 5 sets of tools from EACH tool category. After the first 5 winners are selected, we will select 15 additional winners based on the type of tools they requested to win.

In other words, there are many chances to win.

Some of these tools are new, others, such as the square notch stainless steel trowel, have been out for a while and have great reviews on Amazon.

Rules

To enter, tell us in a comment about which prize package you would like to win, and why. How will you use the tools – do you have an upcoming project in mind?

If you want to enter to win more than one type of prize package, you can make several entries in the same comment. Mention your first choice first, in case you are one of the first 5 winners who are guaranteed to win their choice of prize package.

Winners: There will be 20 winners in total. The first 5 winners will receive their choice of prize, and 15 more winners will receive their first, second, third, or fourth choice of prize, depending how things work out.

Winner Selection: Winners will be selected at random.

Entry ends 12/30/2015.

I would love to have the drywall set. One of my Grandfathers tenants didn’t like to use the exhaust fan when they showered. So all of the plaster above the tile is falling off in large chunks! Doesn’t sound like fun to fix!!!!

My wife and I just closed on our first house. Now that we are in there, I have a long list of projects I would like to do.

First and foremost, I have big plans for the drywall and tile tools for a bathroom remodel. I would definitely get some great use out of these sets.

The next project includes a backyard landscape refresh. I definitely see myself using the masonry and concrete tools.

      Thanks!

Of those being given away, I could use the drywall tools but honestly, I’d rather see someone who would use them more often get them. I only have general homeowner projects when it comes to drywall, like punching holes in the walls to fix stuff then patching them back up again.

well for first choice i would have to go with the tile tools, i just got my first taste and want to clear out the cavity under my stairs and finish it with a tile floor.it seems like a good place to hide all the beginners mistakes.

for the drywall tools my buddy converted his walk in closet into a home office and now we need to extend the ac duct work so he doesn’t roast in there. which involves building a false drywall ceiling to hide the vent which runs under the concrete ceiling.

I’d love a good quality masonry tool set. Even though South Florida is the concrete capital well in my opinion since every house is made out of concrete blocks, and the majority of people down here lay down concrete driveways. I would like to bring a little touch of the northern states and add some ledgestone to the facade of my home and would love quality masonry set.

I would certainly use the tile set on some upcoming bathroom renovation work. As a second choice: I have a long-standing ambition (although as yet nothing so firm as to be called a plan) to build some stone walls at our camp. Perhaps a good starter set of masonry tools would give me the impetus? Thanks to you and to Goldblatt for the opportunity.

My first choice would be the drywall set. I have a 5 year old Golden Retriever “puppy” who has done a number on some of the walls in the house. When he gets anxious or scared, eating drywall and baseboard seem to help…dunno! Second choice would be the tile set no have no immediate plans, but I’ve never done tiling before and I’ve got 2 20 year old bathrooms with builders grade everything, so the day will come.

Helping me move into a new larger house with the wife and 1 year old daughter. (yeah I’ll play that card, I have no shame.)

I’d be able to put the concrete tools to good use in the near future. When we bought our house in 2013, we had a backflow preventer and sump pump put in, for which we had to break up two significant parts of the basement floor.

I would choose the Drywall Tools set to repair an interior wall in our living room. We had a bee infestation around the fireplace (chimney area). They apparently got in through cracks in the exterior masonry. The removal team punched a large hole in the wall about 9 feet up, rather than cut the drywall (I guess cutting a square opening with a saw or Rotozip wasn’t in their repertoire). I now need to repair the cutout area, and a set of drywall tools would be just what I need.

I haven’t had many chances to use the skills I learned and I don’t have any tile tools anymore, I’m sure a set of quality tools would jumpstart me into several projects. If I won, I’d love to have some concrete tools. I’ve helped others with a little concrete work in the past, and enjoyed it. I’ve got a garden shed that I’m looking to build in the near future, as well as an expansion of the slab in our shop/barn.

If I win one of the “extra” prizes, my next choice would definitely be the drywall tools. I’ve done very limited work with drywall, but I know that when I borrowed a friend’s nice drywall tools, the mudding went MUCH easier than using my cheap, throwaway tools.

I would love to have a drywall set. There is so much work out there we couldn’t find any drywall subs all year for small jobs.

We are in the middle of a complete remodel (condo in a high-rise building). I could use some new DRYWALL tools soon! Tile tools would be my second choice. Being able to do your own work is a blessing and a curse!

Oh, wow. What a generous giveaway. I would be thankful to receive any of the prize packages.

My wife and I recently purchased a fixer-upper. It’s a handful. We can’t afford an all-at-once remodel, so we’ll be chipping away at it as we can over the next several years. We’ll be going down to the studs one room at a time, starting with the bathrooms. I’ll also be parging the basement walls and pouring new exterior walks and stairs in the near future.

On a side note, this is the first I’m learning of Goldblatt tools. I checked out their website. It looks like they also have some nice hand tools. I am especially interested in the screwdrivers due to their handle and tip design. I’ll be seeking those out in order to give them a try.

    Thank you!

I’m starting to hang drywall in my garage right now so the drywall set would be my first choice. After that project is complete I will be starting on the kitchen and doing a tile floor and backsplash so the tile set would be equally useful.

I do more drywall work than anything so that would be my first choice: new quality tools are always nice and my 10″ knife wandered off last job.

With that said i have both tile and concrete projects on my todo list and don’t have much in the way of tools for either. The heat and rain here deteriorate concrete fast.

The tile in our upstairs bathroom was horribly installed (previous owner). I’m planning on ripping the floor up & retiling. I don’t have any of the tools for this project. So I’d like the Tile Tools set. I’m also repairing a lot of drywall (also damage from previous owner) so I could definitely use the Drywall set too.

Wow, tough to decide. I need to redo 3 thirty year old bathrooms, so tiling is on the agenda. When spring comes, it’s a concrete base for a shed and a stone wall for the garden. In addition, repairs to a previously botched drywall job. Hmm, looking at my arsenal it is the tiling tools I lack and the drywall tools that need replacing. So I think I’d go with…… the drywall first. But would be happy with anything.

my first choice would be the drywall tools, because that what I use most often, but my concrete trowels have also seen better day. I fact I use all of these tools on occasions and could use and up grade if every catogery.

I would be looking to get the tile set of tools. I have another bathroom remodel coming up, and can’t say I invested the most wisely on my first project, which is odd for me, but thought I’d only be tiling once when I purchased.

If I had a second option, it would be for the concrete tools. They would be gifted to the helper that assisted the guy doing our concrete work on our house. New to the business, but seemed quite interested in the field.

I would really appreciate getting my hands on one of those tile tool sets. I just recently started to learn tile work and next month my wife and I are going in for remodeling our entire downstairs with tile flooring (approx 800 sqft). Decided on the wood plank style tiles but now I need to get the tools to do the job. We are already committed by having bought a tile saw. I’ll put them to good use!

I could really use the tile tools to help renovate my parents bathroom. There baths are original to 1965.

I could also use the drywall tools to help with projects around the house. The house was a foreclosure and many walls need additional work to eliminate the poor patch jobs by the bank.

Tile Tools – My Parents are redoing a bathroom to make it more accessible for their disabled mother. This DIY renovation will involve all new tile for the floor and shower. As well all know a nice set of tools will make the job a bit easier.

Masonry Tools – My wife and I are looking to redo our fireplace surround. The current mantel is a precast “Stone” and looks awful. We would like to put real stone floor to ceiling.

I’d definitely use the drywall tools. We are going to be finishing bedrooms and a bathroom our basement in the next year and I intended to pick up better quality drywall tools than I have now to finish our walls.

After that the tiling tools will be helpful for the bathroom floor and treatment above the tub.
