This Gorilla Ladders work platform is on sale for Black Friday 2021 at Home Depot. There have been similar deals in the past, and this particular model (GLWP-47) is always quite popular.

The work platform is 47.25″ long, 12″ wide, and it stands at a 20″ height.

It folds up to just 3.25″ for easy storage. There’s also an integrated handle built into the middle for easier carrying.

The aluminum construction is light, but sturdy. It weighs just 11 pounds.

This model has a 300 pound load capacity.

The legs lock in place and have non-marring feet.

There’s really not much else to say. Work platforms are incredibly useful for tasks where you need to move around a lot, or where you only need a small boost in height or reach. I have had great experiences with Gorilla Ladders products, including similar work platform test samples that are still holding strong.

If you need more convincing, take a look at the more than 3,400 reviews on Home Depot’s website.

Price: $34.88 (free shipping on $45+)

For a four dollar premium over the platform at Lowe’s, this seems like the better deal being it is a few inches longer and has an additional 50 pounds of weight capacity. Was just getting ready to purchase the Lowe’s platform. Glad I saw this one.

Oh yeah, and the Gorilla has a handle slot in the middle which is super handy.

Yup! I had no idea how handy it was until I was using my old one the other day that lacks the hole in the middle. Huge difference!

So totally right. These are so easy to pick up while you’ve got tools, a bucket, whatever, in your other hand.

This went like hot cakes last year with an even lower price of $24! Glad i picked one up this year!

It’s uncertain as to whether we’ll see the same pricing as last year.

And, if it does go lower, you can always get a price adjustment or do a return-rebuy. If it doesn’t go lower and it sells out, there’s not much anyone will be able to do about that.

A lot of prices seem to have crept upwards – wondering whether it’s really supply chain changes or just an opportunity to raise margins a bit.

          Material costs are higher.
          Labor costs are higher.
          Shipping costs are higher.
          Freight transit takes longer.

It’s really hard to tell. It’s also possible the prices will change again between now and Black Friday.

About 5 years ago I picked it up on black Friday for $18.88 and I got the hsuky rolling work bench 50% for $200, that’s now on sale for like $390ish. Prices have certainly gone up.

My local store was sold out before I could pick one up last year! It’s the one sweet deal I regret missing.

Going to order one now! Thanks for the heads up!

I bought one of these a couple years ago and it’s so incredibly useful. Just right for most things that is otherwise use a step stool for, comfortable to sit on as a bench, and light enough to carry around easily. I might buy a second one.

I have two of the Werner version of this and they are some of the handiest “tools” I own. Regardless of brand, I highly recommend grabbing at least one of these things. I promise you’ll soon wonder how you lived without it..

Agree. I have 5 or 6 of them scatted about various properties and they are really great. Bought them for under $20 on Black Friday several years ago.

      Things have sure went up.

My most frequent use of the pair I’ve got these days is to wash and dry the roof of my vehicle. 🙂

Seeing these in the last couple years as 300lb capacity, bough mine in 2019? on sale Black Friday and it was a 375lb one. Did the osha standards recently change to make the same design only rated to the 300lb rating?

As a big guy, with larger coworkers, these questions keep me up at night.

This model had the same 200 lb load rating last year, in 2019, and in 2018.

Perhaps you’re thinking of a different model?

This one actually has a higher load rating than earlier Black Friday deals, where the load ratings for different models were 225 or 250 lbs depending on the brand.

Sorry, not this specific model, but these work benches in general. Mines still gorilla ladders branded but was a Black Friday deal in 2019 for like $29.99

Maybe it was one of the “Pro” models?

Higher load ratings are good, but 300 lbs is still decent compared to the models that used to on sale this time of year.

The Gorilla platforms I picked up at HD this time last year are rated 1A, 300 pounds. I paid $24-something for them.

Unfortunately, that price isn’t returning for Black Friday this year.

These are amazing, buy 2x (pairs). Then you can place a plank between, or line them up, double wide, or double long. the are the narrowest that I have found, the lock is stout and releases easily, and fully loaded it doensn’t wobble even when I am pushing something hard, high and with my 250 lbs of “I can do that!” on top! Seriously pay full price, pay Black Friday, but buy a pair.
