Home Depot Dewalt ToughSystem Double Deal!

Dewalt ToughSystem Viral Tool Box Deals July 2024

Home Depot has a “buy more, save more” deal on Dewalt ToughSystem tool boxes, and the promo went viral on social media this weekend, especially on Reddit.

The deal is supposed to allow savings of up to $150 off $499+ orders of eligible Dewalt ToughSystem tool boxes and accessories.

It’s unclear whether there’s a glitch in the discount calculations or stacking offers, but Redditors have reported seeing savings of up to $300 per order.

I tested different combinations of Dewalt ToughSystem products, and was able to replicate this.

Dewalt ToughSystem 3-Drawer Tool Box DWST08330

For example, if you add 4 of the Dewalt ToughSystem 3-drawer toolbox to your cart, a $300 discount is applied at checkout, dropping the price from $599.92 to $299.92 plus tax.

It looks like the double discount is applying to eligible ToughSystem tool boxes and organizers, as well as the worklight, but some are not activating the extra savings, such as the yellow tray inserts.

I don’t recall ever seeing a Dewalt ToughSystem “buy more, save more” deal like this before.

Part of me is inclined to think that the double discount is a glitch, but Home Depot’s system is still applying double discount. Most glitches are quickly corrected, even over weekends. I believe a glitch would have been fixed by now.

Or, maybe it started off as a glitch, but Home Depot and Dewalt decided to let it ride due to the massive amount of attention the promo has been getting.

A lot of the ToughSystem products are also only available for in-store pickup or store-to-home delivery. Maybe that factors into things.

Save $300 off $499+ select Dewalt ToughSystem orders? Even I’m scrambling to see if there’s anything I need or want right now.

No one can predict how long this will last, whether it’s a glitch or not. It also looks like like inventories are starting to sell out.

Update 7/15 at 5:30pm ET: It looks like the double discount has finally ended.

Update 7/17 at 7:20pm ET: The double discount looks to be working again!

Update 7/18: Something went wrong with the main ToughSystem product listings. Deal could be over again.

Update 7/21: Double discount looks to be over again.

I added the 3 drawer with the deal, which I added the 2 drawer and small single box for $244 total..which I wonder, if I go into the store, will they recognize this deal? Or do I have to order online to pickup for the deal? Thing though is…only 3 of each left…and not sure I can get there tonight.

The discount can be easily tested and taken advantage of online. I cannot speak about in-store.

I had it shipped. Did it at 6pm lastnight, delivered to my doorstep at 8:30am today. I went with the 2 and 3 drawer units. Saved 18%.
        Thanks Stuart!

Better order online. They will send you a “ready for pick-up” email in the next hour, and you’ll be able to do that in the next *seven days*. At least it worked this way for me (middle of the previous week).

One update: I never realized you can pop the clear handle cover off and label the drawer contents. Either flip the Tough System 2.0 over and use marker on label, or 1/2″ Epson label fits. No mention of this on Dewalt’s site.
      Sadly…I NEED MORE BOXES! LOL…

Excellent price, and if I hadn’t gone all-in to Packout years ago, I’d be spending $1000 right now. The system’s been great though, so I can’t complain. Except I did fill all of the Packout with DeWalt for the most part… Sacrilege, I know.

I did the same thing. It’s called storing mustard in a ketchup bottle. The packout has served me well for years. The Dewalt 20V just fits my hands better.

Here’s hoping – with this discount, it’s cheaper per box to buy the the 2 drawer boxes for use as spice/sauce boxes for my scouts than it would be build the one I prototyped. If only they’d have a Packout glitch…:)

Bought this on Friday. The store didn’t have my order ready after 4+ hours so I cancelled it and ordered it for delivery.

Picked up one of each the small box, 2 drawer, 3 drawer and two of the large boxes for $215 after taxes.

Might end up selling one of the large and small boxes and using the money to buy the half bag and some of the half-width parts cases to use as tool specific cases. Probably should have picked up another drawer unit instead but too late.

I would not have minded a 4 stack of 3 drawers at an extra discount. They look shallower and would fit easier against the sidewall in a van.

Just placed two order at $559 and $538, each had the $300 taken off. Going to pickup tomorrow morning.

Had Packout last year, switched to Tough stack earlier this year. The TS has gotten too stupid $$$, so I’m switching again.

Well, couldn’t resist when the deal came back. Got two 3 drawer and two 2 drawer units for $281 with tax. That same setup in Packout gear cost me about $500. I’ll use an adapter plate and throw my Dewalt on the Packout. Be a real weirdo.

Well, I bought 2 of each of the drawers for pick-up, because that’s what it showed in stock, but they only had 1 of each so they cancelled the other two.

That’s probably one of my biggest complaints with Home Depot. About 25% of my orders have been cancelled in the past because of out of stock issues, instead of asking if I’d like to wait for more stock to come in, or pay for shipping, or…

They have really bad customer service when it comes to that.

The ONLY thing stopping me from jumping on this deal is that for some insane reason DeWalt doesn’t appear to have a 4 wheel dolly for theor ToughSystem toolboxes.

Anyone know of an easy aftermarket kit that I can bolt to some plywood with casters?

      Jul 18, 2024

The new Dewalt DXL has a dolly you could use to stack these two wide.

I haven’t see anything besides someone who took the top of a box and screwed it to a dolly.

It wouldn’t lock in, but you could take a moving dolly and add some rails to it so the stack wouldn’t fall off.

That feels like a broken catalog item – it’s now marked as unavailable IF you can find it (it doesn’t pull up in an internal search at HomeDepot.com). Bummer.

Bought the piecemeal equivalent of two 3-piece ToughSystem towers and the Tstak adapter plate for a little over $200 on Monday. Liked it so much that I was going to pay the “non-glitch” price for another bottom box and a drawer unit. Was pleasantly surprised to see the glitch back and subsequently grabbed the bottom box, the 3-drawer unit, and two medium boxes for another $200.

Yeah I spent $400 but now I can get rid of ALL of my Tstak, which shouldn’t be too hard. I also saved a ton of rom thanks to the larger boxes.

I ordered the light with box and 3 3-drawer boxes last night. This morning they recalculated by 3-drawer boxes per unit cost to reach a lower savings total if I keep only the light. If i return the light though, I get the drawer boxes at $83 per…it had said 116 per when I checked-out last night dropping the light to $102….which is the only piece I wanted, especially at that price and why I did it. So it looks like I got a better deal overall than I what I can get today, but worse for the light only.

Funny today, if I add 2 3-drawers and the light, I can get the light down to $155 instead of $169.89 in my current order. Might be doing that. Very confused on this glitch, seems like maybe it wasn’t supposed to come back again. Congrats to some of you on a steal!

I notice that my new drawer units don’t have a top handle—just a thrown together black piece filling the space and allowing for the little yellow flip up bracket that helps attach smaller boxes. Was part of the plan here to clear stock for a new version that doesn’t have this odd little workaround? Maybe they’re bringing the handle back, or have a new model that doesn’t include this oddity. Doesn’t matter to me, but interesting nonetheless

This is why I love the ToolGuyd community!
A roller box, two 3-drawer boxes, and a large toolbox got me to $503 and put me in the $300 saving zone. Paid $9 for delivery so I was $225.70 to my door with tax.
Moreover, I ordered it after 1 am last night and it was on the shipping dock at work by 10:30 am this morning.
    Much appreciated Stuart!

FYI – for those that missed the. HD glitch, Acme tools has a pretty good deal going, and if you play with how you load your cart, I was able to get the two drawer tough built boxes down to $80 each with free shipping. That’s not as good as the $58 or so I got them down to on the HD deal, but pretty damn close. With the Acme deal, if you keep your order around $250 or so, you seem to get the best overall discount. I didnt even think to see if you could stack a Toolguyd code on that.
