Home Depot Free Bonus Tool Offers - Dewalt Milwaukee Makita Ryobi Ridgid Black Friday 2023

Home Depot has new FREE cordless power tool deals from Dewalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Ridgid, and Ryobi for the Holiday 2023 promo season.

The sale continues into the new year, with one caveat – the deals are valid while supplies last, and the best ones usually sell out early.

See all the FREE Tool Offers

The way each of these tool deals work, you choose something to buy – a starter kit, battery bundle, or cordless power tool combo kit, then choose one or two FREE tools or a batteries from a fixed selection.

The resulting bundle gives you huge value for the money, not to mention choices.

Dewalt Free Tool Deals

Dewalt 20V Max PowerStack Starter Kit + 2 FREE Tools – $349
Dewalt 20V Max 3-Tool PowerStack Power Tool Kit + 2 FREE Tools – $499

The $199 Dewalt starter kit deal is one of the most popular, and tends to sell out every year. There’s plenty of stock at the moment, with more than 20,000 available online and plenty more in stores.

With the starter kit deal, you can basically create a standalone kit with any of the free tool selections.

Dewalt’s $299 deal is new this year, featuring a premium brushless compact hammer drill, premium Atomic 3-speed compact impact driver, charger, and 2x 4Ah batteries. It’s a fantastic base for a 3-tool combo kit.

The $349 deal gives you a PowerStack combo kit – a compact 1.7Ah battery, 5Ah battery, plus a charger. Choose your two free tools, and you have an instant PowerStack combo it.

The $499 kit starts you off with a 3-tool PowerStack combo kit – with a FlexVolt Advantage premium brushless hammer drill and circular saw from the same line – and you also get two free tool choices.

Dewalt surely brought their A-game this year.

Milwaukee Free Tool Deals

The $299 option starts with an M18 battery 2-pack, with High Output 6Ah and 8Ah batteries (one of each). This is a good option for existing Milwaukee M18 cordless power tool users.

The $399 deal features a Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless hammer drill and impact driver kit. There have been near-constant promos on the same combo since last year, mostly with a bonus battery.

With the $599 4-tool combo kit, you can create your own 6-tool bundle. Plus, it comes with High Output 3Ah and 6Ah batteries, giving you compact and extended power and runtime options.

Thinking about going for the powerstack kit + 2 routers.

It’s a great router! That’d be my top choice of free tool, with the brushless reciprocating saw or rotary hammer a close second.

I was actually thinking the recip saw, but I’d get a lot more use out of the two routers at the moment.
Maybe I’ll grab the recip with the 5.0 starter kit as well…

        Decisions lol

      Thanks, *fixed*!

Yep – the starter kit sells out *every* year. Last year there were replenishments mid-way through the holiday season where a couple of hundred kits popped back up on the website.

I wonder if Flex is going to have any deals going? I’ve been very interested in the lineup but the prices are almost Makita level

I have seen a few Flex deals.
A little while ago Ohio Power Tool had a deal where if you bought the 6ah Stacked Lithium starter kit you got a free tool with quite a lot to pick from but that deal has now expired.
Currently Lowes has a deal where you get a free tool if you buy either the 3.5ah Stacked Lithium starter kit ($199), a 4-tool combo kit ($299), or the 5ah standard battery starter kit ($169). That last deal is actually pretty interesting since a few of the tools you can choose as your freebie actually cost more than $169. For example you could get the $199 trim router or $269 compact bandsaw. This is better than the deals they had for black friday last year, which were basically “buy a bare tool, get a 5ah battery free”. In this case you’re paying less than the base cost for many of the tools, plus you’re also getting a charger.
Lowe’s also has some of the tool-with-charger kits on sale.

    Your killing me sir.

Normally I can ignore you for the most part during the crazy part of the year but I just ordered the Dewalt $299 kit + circular saw on top of the x3 XR 5ah batteries from the other day.

Three tools and x2 XR 4ah batteries for $311 plus free shipping is a bit to stupid to pass up.

Guess I’ll be giving my Craftsman battery tools to my son this year.

Some great deals! I was hoping to get an X-Lock cordless Makita grinder but I cannot find it. Does this not exist?

Question? I know Home Depot acts weird for tool kits. I am interested in a track saw kit but don’t want the charger and XC6 battey.

Can I get this shipped to the local HD and get them take off $$ the battery & charger?

Stuart, thanks for posting this. I grabbed the DeWalt rotary hammer deal, then I went back for the Ryobi grease gun. Unfortunately that was already out of stock. Do you know if “free tools” ever come back into stock, or are they gone for good?

    Thank you!

      I honestly don’t know.

Dewalt’s starter kit + free tool deal is the one that typically sells out first, and I’ve seen that replenished online throughout the season with limited quantities.

If a free tool choice has sold out, it could be out of stock for good OR Home Depot and Ryobi might have set aside a specific quantity to go live around Thanksgiving for Black Friday. It never looks good when sales advertised in the Black Friday sales flyer aren’t in stock.

So, I don’t know if it will come back in stock, but if Home Depot and Ryobi planned things out smartly, there could be inventory that’s simply not released for sale yet.

Additionally, stores *should* have some inventory. If they’re not showing as in-stock via the website, you might want to check with your local store if it’s important enough to you. However, they could have some inventory not on the sales floor yet.

Most years, the first tools that sell out very early are the ones that aren’t also available in-store, such as Dewalt brushless band saws and the like.

That all said, I’m looking at the Ryobi grease gun. The site says there’s 1 available today for delivery, and it’s in stock at a store 6 miles away. It’s marked as “limited stock” in my area, or out of stock, with just one other store 20 miles away listing it as available.

The nature of the delivery fee suggests it’s only available for in-store pickup or paid local delivery from the closest store.

Either Home Depot’s distribution center is waiting for inventory, or there are very few to go around, and what’s in stores is what’s in stores.

It’s shown in Ryobi’s promo images as a free tool selection.

If I had to bet, I would say there’s a 60:40 chance that it’ll be available. There’s still 2.5 weeks until Thanksgiving, and all of December, and so there’s time for it to appear (reappear?).

Thanks so much for that thorough reply! I have two Home Depots within 3 miles of me so I’ll look around. I’ll also keep an eye out for additional stock.

Hard to beat $100 for a grease gun, two batteries, and a charger!

I was bummed that the Ryobi blower seems to have sold out. It’s still listed as one of the options on Ryobi’s website which links you to HD, but HD pulled it as one of the available “free tool” options. I’m really hoping it comes back because I’d love to have alternative to my gas backpack blower for smaller cleanups. HD.com and my local store said they have no idea if it will be back.

      Yes, and no.

There will sometimes be added discounts in Home Depot’s tool deals of the day. Maybe not for Black Friday, but in early December.

In last week’s deals of the day https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/home-depot-tool-deals-110223/%3C/a%3E , there was a Milwaukee M18 Fuel 2-tool combo kit with bonus router for $359. It was and is back to $399 as part of the free tool promo.

I don’t know about Ridgid, but I would say there’s a non-zero but slim chance the exact bundle you want could be further discounted. HD’s holiday deals of the day are not very Ridgid-focused.

If you can potentially spare the expense for two sets, buy what you want and then keep an eye out for a better deal. Should that happen, buy the better deal and then return the first purchase.

If you can wait, keep an eye on the online inventory numbers and see what happens by a certain date.

Thank you Stuart. I unfortunately invested in the Ridgid battery system a while back but unfortunately you’re right home Depot doesn’t have many deals on their tools.

I’ll go with you’re suggestion of purchasing now and keeping my eye out for a better deal in December.

Honestly the Milwaukee deals aren’t as attractive as years past. Not as many options and it’s mostly non Fuel.

Dewalts offerings are more attractive, and since my shop buys dewalt, I see a few tools worth picking up.
