KC Tool Black Friday 2017 Deal

Our friends at KC Tool gave me an early look at their Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend deals! Our special ToolGuyd coupon code will NOT stack, but that’s okay, because this discount is even better.

Save 20%, using coupon code KCT20. Discount is valid 11/24/17 (12am CT) thru 11/27 (11:59pm CT).

This coupon code works on EVERYTHING, site-wide.

Not sure what to buy? Here are some ideas:

KC Tool Black Friday 2017 Felo Tools Deal

I saw this ad on ToolGuyd, in our Google ad spot, and immediately copied the image into an email and asked where I can find the kit on KC Tool’s site. I had thought that this was a “best of the best” tool kit, with Felo screwdrivers, NWS pliers, and Knipex pliers.

It turns out, these are all Felo tools, and they’re sold individually. Those Ergonic screwdrivers are sold individually and in sets.

You know, of course NOW I see the “felo” brand mention at the top. But I’ve been running on very little sleep and missed it the first time.

Here’s the real takeaway: KC Tool has Felo tools for 32% off their list price, thru 12/31/17. With this Black Friday special, I am definitely going to be buying some new Felo tools.

KC Tool Black Friday 2017 Feo Pliers Deal

These are AWESOME diagonal cutters.

I don’t remember what I spent on my NWS Fantastico cutters, but I’m pretty sure it was more than $25. Maybe $32? I’ll have to check.

KC Tool Black Friday 2017 Wiha Screwdriver Deal

$20 for a Wiha 26-in-1 Ultra Driver? This is going on my shopping list.

KC Tool Black Friday 2017 Wera Kraftform Kompakt Deal

I bought one of these a few years ago, and would buy another in a heartbeat. The handle is a little thick, but the bit storage and removable locking bit holder make up for it.

$23 is a good deal.

KC Tool Hazet Screwdriver Set Deal

I bought a Hazet screwdriver set from Germany recently, and they’re pretty good. If I hadn’t, this Hazet Phillips and slotted 6pc set would probably hold my attention a little better.

KC Tool Black Friday 2017 Knipex Mino Cobra Pliers Deal

Knipex Cobra are my preferred brand and style of adjustable pliers. Just sayin’.

KC Tool Black Friday 2017 Wera Micro Ratchet Bit Set Deal

I can’t speak about the Wiha micro ratchet and bit set, but this looks like a good deal. This set is currently $70 at KC Tool and other dealers, and so $50 seems like a really good deal.

Which of these or other KC Tool offerings are going on your shopping list?

Wera Deals

Here’s a list of some popular Wera tools that you might be interested in. The list was provided with the early Black Friday deal details I begged KC Tools for, and seemed worth sharing. The prices are what the tools will cost after the 20% Black Friday coupon is applied.

(Personally, I’ll be strongly considering the imperial Tool-Check deal.)

Stuart, are the Felo diagonal cutters just about the same as the Irwin NWS ones? I grabbed a set on clearance at Lowes last month, but do really like that Felo color scheme. They look so similar, and hard for me to justify unless I find a good gift recipient.

For sure I will be grabbing that Kraftform Kompakt driver kit. I’ve been eyeing it for a while now.

I only just learned about these, but they look identical to me.

In the Felo image, I thought those were NWS pliers. Looked to me like only the label is different.

I thought the NWS were commonly found with the black finish, though. Still, these are unmistakenly made by NWS for Felo.

A few people wrote in about the Lowes Irwin clearance, but I checked 3 Lowes stores and they were all long-sold-out.

After looking on the KC-Tool site, I saw the lanyard made by Felo for their pliers. Felo’s looks more like a metal claw clasp, rather than the plastic rubbery piece that Irwin/NWS uses for their pliers, otherwise they seems the same. Wouldn’t plan on breaking either, but have feeling the Irwin might be easier to warranty, but that’s me thinking Irwin is more present in the USA.

Ya, I got lucky with Lowes. hidden behind some other pliers.

Lanyard looks the same to me.

LOL. I didn’t zoom in. The plastic rubbery thing on the Felo is clear, vs yellow on the Irwin. Easy to miss in the pic, and presumably a little easier to misplace if it separates from the lanyard.

Is there a ratcheting version of the Kraftform Kompakt? Looks like a solid tool, but my Stanly 62-574 has served me well.

    Thanks,

Yes, do a search for Kraftform Kompakt or that plus “RA.” There’s a straight handle, and a pistol-grip one.

The pistol grip ratcheting screwdriver (051030) lets you store bits in the handle but the standard ratcheting screwdriver (051461) does not.

There are two ratcheting versions (073660 and 073661) with a longer shank on them that lets you store bits in the handle, but the shank doesn’t collapse in to the handle. They also only have a standard magnetic bit holder versus the Rapidaptor.

Thanks! So, leaving out the pistol grip, it seems I’m left with getting two of the three features in any one screwdriver: ratcheting, bit storage, telescoping/collapsible shank.

They raised the prices on the knipex and wera pieces, had those in the cart earlier today but got side tracked with all the festivities, came back a half hour ago to finish up and the knipex is almost full price and the wera is about $30. Ah well…

Which Items did you have in your cart? I’m pretty sure there was only 1 Wiha item we had to adjust slightly to avoid selling at a loss. Kyle – KC Tool

Same issue for me. I had just convinced myself to buy my first wera and knipex tools. The price change pushed me back over the fence. =(
