Kreg has a new promo for the holidays, where you can get money back on any pocket hole jig or bundle priced at $99 and up.
If you buy a K4 or K5 pocket hole jig priced over $99, you can receive a $15 dollar rebate from Kreg.
The product must be purchased online, at a home center, or local retailer between November 1st, 2019 and January 31st, 2020. Here are the products that Kreg says are eligible for the rebate:

I guess the Kreg Foreman pocket hole machine isn’t considered a jig.

Yes, even the $100 K4 pocket hole system promotional package you see every Holiday season is included in this rebate. (Is it just my store that never seems to sell a single kit from the ever-full display?)
The rebate appears to work both online and in stores, except for Lowe’s and Menards which we’ll explain below. It’s a pretty standard rebate application and you need to submit both an image of the UPC code from the packaging and a receipt.
There are two ways you can apply for the rebate, you can print and mail the PDF form, or go online to www.kregpromtions.com.

Online Form
If you purchase your Kreg Jig from Lowe’s or Menard’s, you can’t use the above online form, because instead of a rebate check you get either a Lowe’s gift card or Menard’s store credit check. You have to use one of the below links to print a PDF form to mail.

Any price deal is a good thing, but rebates that require action on the purchaser side are just lame these days. Already have a K system from years ago that keeps working, so don’t have to hassle with that. They know more than half the buyers won’t even bother filling out the rebate.
FYI, Kreg stopped their drill bit sharpening service earlier in the year. It was great while it lasted, $5 to sharpen one of their bits. Alas, no longer. Fellow who works for me dropped the more expensive $30+ bit on concrete floor and broke the tip. Now I just buy their standard bits when on sale and keep a few extras because stuff happens.
Nathan
They had a more expensive bit?
rebate is a rebate. If you’re int he market for a K4 kit it’s worth it. at least for the DIYer.
does it apply to their other jigs. LIke the drawer slide and pull jig?
Clay
Can anyone comment on whether it is worth the extra dough to go up from, say, the Home Depot kit pictured to a K5 or one of the fancier sets?
This would be for an hobbyost/DIYer?
TIA!
PETE
I see three advantages of the K5 over the K4
1- the vacuum port, while you can buy it separate to add to a k4 system it would be nice to have from the beginning because once to start a pocket hole storm there is chips everywhere.
2- The clamp is on the working side(Drill side) that way you don’t have to reach over and possibly scratch your wrist.
3- it comes with the wings to keep your work piece more level. You’ll realize that the majority of your pocket holing is on the ends of your piece of wood and the k4 you’ll have to either make your own wings or hold the piece of wood straight.
The k4 does come with the clamp on jig which is sometimes useful if you have a piece of wood already installed and want to and some reinforcement to it without having to dismantle it. That said i have had NO luck with kregs clamps- both the old style & new style. Once they start acting up just toss them.

Thanks, Pete!

my K4 kit has the vac port too. and That clamp is rather useful. there are other versions however.
I don’t make wings for mine but I do screw it into a plywood table top
