The Kwick Gripper, by the EB Tool Company, is a nail puller that can pull out almost anything. Nails? Yes. Screws? Yes. Headless nails, staples, and pins? Yes, yes, and yes.

From watching the demo video (embedded below), it looks like the pass-through movable jaws allow for a type of ratcheting action. This could make the removal of long nails a lot easier than with a claw hammer or cat’s paw.
In addition to the primary jaws, the Kwick Gripper features a curved puller on one side of the head, and striking surface on the other. On the opposite end of the tool is a conventional pry bar.
Preorders are available via gofundme for $39, shipping included. The full retail price will be $49 once the tools are available in April.

It will be interesting to see how the Kwick Gripper fares against other all-in-one pullers, such as the Crescent Code Red pry bar and puller.
Update: The company and its tool do not seem to exist anymore.

I’m not sure about what their website is requesting and giving. At one level it seems they are asking for a contribution to help them get off the ground – and as of a few minutes ago – they seem to be seeking 378 more $39 contributions out of a goal of 400? Does that mean that they need $15,600 to produce an initial run of product? What if they fall short?

It is my understanding that the tool is currently in production, with a couple of hundred units scheduled to be ready in April. The company is offering pre-sales in order to raise early funding for marketing expenses.

Generally at these funding sites, if the expected amount is not collected the funds are returned and the product is never created. It may work differently here.

It does work a bit differently- If the goal is not met then nothing happens- no money or goods are transferred, and I set the goal way too high. So everyone who signed up on the GoFundMe site will not be obligated to purchase, however if they do still want to buy a KwickGripper when the GoFundMe promotion ends on Friday they still can for the same price with free shipping- it will just be processed through our website ( http://www.ebtoolcompany.com ) and not through GoFund Me.

I wonder the country of origin of this product, as I am seeing some interesting details, but not a pivotal detail such as coo. For nearly $50, that is not a unreasonable detail to know.

It is being produced overseas. I was told by EB Tool Co that they could not find a USA manufacturer who could produce the tool at sellable prices.

I spoke with the owner of E. B. Tools about 18 months ago, he told me that he had sold the patent to a larger tool manufacturer and it would soon be available in hardware stores, yet I have yet to be able to find them. It seems E. B. tool co. still has a web presence, it may be worth reaching out.

I recommend you investigate the worn part, draw up a diagram with dimensions so you can get a new part made for it when it finally goes! I wish I would have kept our two broken ones…silly me just assumed that I could buy more. Oh well, such is life.

I’m the original guy that designed this tool , these two guys are not able to chew gum and walk at the same time. I personally had to explain the simple way that this tool pulled to Eric and his son Ben. I made this tool in Machining shop in Soldiers grove that belonged to mace at the time.Long before Ben was around to try taking claim for something he had nothing to do with in the making of this product.
