Leatherman K2 Knife Multi-Tool Holiday Deal 2023

The Leatherman FREE K2 knife multi-tool is on sale right now for $49.95, reflecting a 44% discount from its regular price of $89.95.

Leatherman K2 Knife Multi-Tool in Blue

The Leatherman K2 features a 3.3″ knife blade and 3 fold-out tools for a total of 8 separate functions.

Leatherman K2 Knife Multi-Tool Functions

The K2 features:

  1. 420HC Knife (plain edge)
  2. Pry Tool
  3. Package Opener
  4. Awl
  5. Bottle Opener
  6. Phillips Screwdriver
  7. Medium Screwdriver
  8. Extra-small Screwdriver

The knife blade and all of the tools lock in place and can be unlocked with either hand.

Leatherman K2 Knife Multi-Tool in Blue with Open Tools

Leatherman’s FREE series tools features magnetic opening and closing that allow for smooth and quick access.

I own a couple of Leatherman multi-tools that have this feature – a smaller T4 knife multi-tool and full-size P4 multi-tool with pliers – and have found their claims to be spot-on and even modest.

Leatherman K2 Knife Multi-Tool in Blue Closed

The tool has a removable pocket clip, with holes on the front indicating it can be moved to either side.

There are 3 color choices – blue, green, and grey. Acme Tool’s images shows a red handle, and so it’s unclear if you get slate grey or crimson red. Try your luck or go with blue or green.

Leatherman makes the K2 in the USA and backs it with a 25-year warranty.

I have a Leatherman K4 test sample ($99.95 at Amazon), which has similar features as the K2, but with scissors added in. Although it’s a great improvement compared to Leatherman’s older knife multi-tools, I feel it’s still a bit too bulky for my liking. The K2 is thinner, which should help with comfort and ergonomics.

Hey look the automatic “out of stock” routine. That’s unfortunately going to be a pass as I’m not looking to get the knife mid next year.

I get the reasons for the no-inventory sales from Acme/Ohio/KCT but I’m just not willing to play the game any longer.

They were all in stock this morning. I’ll see if I can find out what happened.

I need a new knife to replace a lost Buck, and this actually looks like a meaningful improvement that isn’t too gimmicky. Wish there were a thicker version with wood scales though, I don’t like the feeling of metal handles.

Totally on the opposite side of the price spectrum, but I don’t see another place to quickly place this. Harvey tools is having a 24 hour flash sale on a bandsaw, and many of their table saws. Also one of their “dust processors.” If I am doing the math correctly, it will last until 9PM Monday East Coast time. If you accept their nominal prices are fair, then these are savings from $800 to $1350.

I waited too long and it looks like this deal is done.

Fedex “delivered” my Leatherman from Acme Tools but it’s no where to be found. Second time in a row Fedex has failed in recent weeks with Acme purchases. May just have to swear off both companies.
