Somebody asked for a rundown of Black Friday 2015 flashlight deals, and while I wanted to, I just couldn’t. Most of the flashlights I’ve seen are just weren’t great deals.
Oh, there are plenty of cheap flashlights around this time of year, but are they good deals?

You get what you pay for. There’s nothing wrong with a $10 flashlight if you want a $10 flashlight. But you’re not going to get a $40 flashlight for $10.
Over at Amazon, there are 2 promos going on right now:
Streamlight: 20% off Select LED Flashlights, thru 11/28/15
Coast: 15% off Flashlights & Other Products, thru 12/31/15
The Streamlight deal is very limited, with only 5 products being eligible for the discount. There is a little more selection with the Coast deal, although Streamlight is a higher tier brand.

Over at Home Depot, there are a bunch of Husky LED flashlights. I’d give them a try, but wouldn’t trust them enough for critical applications.
There are also a couple of Coast LED flashlights. I think they might be worth the bump up in price, but will let you be the judge.
Generally, with flashlights like these, you get bright LED emitters that give off a cool white or almost slightly bluish illumination. I don’t like such flashlights for closeup work.
Also at Home Depot, there’s a 2-pack of Duracell LED flashlights, and they’re each powered by 3x C-sized batteries. I think these are the only C-powered LED flashlights I’ve seen in recent years.
We also talked about a Maglite Pro LED flashlight deal in our Lowes Black Friday 2015 non-Kobalt hand tools deals post.
If you want to save money on great quality flashlights, Foursevens is usually a good way to go. Their lights are pricey, but they typically offer decent Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Holiday, and year-end deals.
Check out our Foursevens Preon2 LED Flashlight Review for a couple of words about their quality.
Do you know of another LED flashlight holiday deal worth looking into? Please let us know!

I have not been looking – but I guess you could use some of those percent off deals (Bosch, Dewalt, Makita. Milwaukee) to purchase some of their LED flashlights, work lights etc.
There are also some generic percent off deals popping up like these:
ToolUp.com – offering 10% off – with coupon Code “ANYDEAL”
McFeeleys – offering 15% off – with coupon code E5K5
Carbide Processors – $15 off $150 (code “THANKS15”) or $25 off $200 (code – “THANKS25)

True, but as excellent as they all are, they’re more worklights than personal carryable flashlights. You can’t stick even the most compact latest model cordless power tool platform flashlight or worklight in a pocket.
Thanks for sharing those coupon codes!

I have gotten good deals at batteryjunction.com in the past. I know they are running black Friday deals.

I have to say the first picture is ridiculous. 4 small lights, 4 large lights, two headlamps, and lot of batteries for $15?WHY? For $15 I would just be happy with one or two good lights. That is not even a good stocking stuffer. You would have to unpackage it and then people would think they are used. Oh my.

I think Walmart has a pack with a Mini maglite pro and a solitaire led for like 23 bucks which seems like a decent deal.

Sears has been playing games with the Craftsman LED Pocket Lights. The model below dropped to $3.49 recently with $3.49 back in rewards points.

There are about a half dozen different colors, with each being a different price. Prices change sometimes throughout the day.

I got in on that deal.
Those Craftsman LED lights are actually a really good buy for the price, especially $3.49, even without points.
Very bright, without being so bright they glare off the surfaces you’re trying to look at, and very compact. Much better than those cheap oval LED lights.

I have that Duracell two pack I got it from Costco and they are good lights. As matter of fact I lit up my buddy’s pole barn with both of them on flood aimed at the silver lining part of the insulation in there. They are a nice light I just don’t remember what I paid for them at Costco. I have also seen a three pack with batteries in my local Costco for like 30 or 35 bucks they are Duracell as well.

I’m going to pick up one of those 3 AA Husky flashlights. I can’t help myself, any time I see an “UNBREAKABLE” label I need to rise to the challenge. Sort of like how the guys at UPS/FedEx/USPS must feel when a package is labeled fragile.
Toolfreak
Any time I see that word “UNBREAKABLE”, all I can think of is that scene in Uncle Buck with John Candy where he smacks the UNBREAKABLE plate on the table and…it breaks spectacularly.
I imagine the flashlight would be similar. Might be less prone to damage from a fall with that rubber sleeve, but you smash that thing on a hard surface, it’ll probably break.

Goinggear.com just started their BF sales. 25 pct off on most Olight.

I remember a year or two ago all maglites were 50% off at lowes.
Looks like some decent deals but nothing spectacular. IMO.

the last few years they always had some D versions of Maglight on sale for black friday. Didn’t see any this year
