Hot Deal: Loc-Line 2.5″ Vacuum Hose Sections

Loc-Line Vacuum Hose

Josh wrote in about an incredibly good deal on Loc-Line’s 2.5″ vacuum hoses.

I found the Loc-Line vacuum hose after clicking around on your third hands article. Amazon has what may be some kind of price mistake, the 2ft sections of loc-line vacuum hose are priced at $4.12 instead of $30-ish. I bought 10, figure I’ll use it for my shop’s dust collection somehow.

Here’s the Loc-Line vacuum hose article that he’s talking about, and the recent Hobby Creek modular hose third hand post.

These hoses are made from segmented links which gives them some rigidity but also adjustability.

The last time I bought Loc-Line 2.5″ hose sections, which was in July 2013 (I have since bought some of the anti-static hose segments), I paid $28.07. It’s on sale now for $4.12 for 2x 12″ sections.

I don’t know if it’s a price mistake as Josh believes, as it could also be “we want this out of our warehouse NOW” pricing.

Each package comes with around 2-feet of hose. Note: these are the regular hoses, and not the anti-static ones.

Update: These look to be sold out (for now?)

You will also need other Loc-Line vacuum parts to work as nozzles, and adapters to connect this to standard vacuum ports.

My advice: if this is something you’re interested in, buy a couple of sections of hose now, and plan the rest out after your order is in.

Well, now I feel guilty; I may have bought the last of it.

Nope, I bought a pair too. It was still up for a while after that too, and with “10+” quantities seemingly available.

Which accessory fittings seem to work best? I’ve got a box of hose next to my desk and more on the way, it’s going to become a number of different projects. Cyclone dust separator, drill press dust pickup…

I’ve got one of the shop vac hose adapters but I’ve held off on getting any more adapters until I have a better plan.
