Lowe’s is holding a cordless leaf blower deal of the day, featuring this EGO LB6151 56V blower kit.
I have been working on a separate post about EGO tools, and how they’re on the top of my recommendations whenever family or friends are looking to buy new outdoor power tools. The answer to “I need a cordless blower” has been “EGO” for some time now.

Yes, there are many excellent cordless blowers out there, but EGO remains at the top of my list for anyone not tied to a particular battery system (and even many who are).
This model, LB6151, can move air up to 180 MPH and with up to 615 CFM airflow. The variable speed control dial can deliver between 200 and 480 CFM, with a separate turbo button pushing the velocity to 615 CFM.
When paired with the included 2.5Ah battery, runtime is said to be 100 minutes on low or 10 minutes at turbo.
The blower comes with a tapered nozzle attachment, 2.5Ah battery, and 50-minute charger.

EGO has a lot of different cordless blowers at different price points. This particular model appears to be their second-best handheld model, only bested by the LB6504 kit. The LB6504 kit features the LB6500 blower, standard charger, and 5Ah battery. The LB6151 kit is is regularly priced at $219 and is on sale right now for $199. The LB6504 kit is currently priced at $299.
Between the two nearly-identical models (from what I can tell), the pricier model delivers slightly greater airflow (250 to 500 CFM, 650 CFM turbo). The pricier model runs for up to 200 minutes on low with a 5Ah battery, or 15 minutes at Turbo.
If you need the best of the best, or anticipate huge cleanup tasks that necessitate a 5Ah battery, perhaps consider the LB6504 kit instead (available on Amazon). But, in my opinion, the kit that’s on sale today, LB6151, offers a more compelling balance between power and price. This blower still moves a large volume of air 480/615 CFM (regular/turbo), and its 180 MPH top speed helps move more stubborn piles of leaves.

How does this compare to the Greenworks 80V blower? I have the 1st gen model and that sucker is a beast. I got it for only $80 at an Amazon returns auction about 4-5 years ago and have thoughts of selling it for $100+ and getting the updated Greenworks 80V or an Ego model.

I don’t know. I generally regard EGO as a much better brand, with Greenworks more entry-level. You could always try both.
Greenworks has also been pestering me to promote their worst-in-class cordless drill and lawn mower package, leading me to lose a lot of respect for them because of this.
Looking at sell sheets, the EGO is more powerful, with higher speed and airflow specs. The EGO also has a variable control dial vs. the Greenworks’ 3-speed trigger, and the EGO is also less expensive. I don’t see what Greenworks offers over the EGO except maybe for longer runtime, in which case EGO’s next-higher model – and kitted with a 5Ah battery – looks to be the better alternative.

How do these stand up to the Ryobi RY404100VNM? The Ryobi has higher specs on paper and a higher price point to go with it but comes with 2x 4Ah batteries.
I don’t typically go for Ryobi tools but their lawn equipment has some really nice stuff.
