Milwaukee-M12-High-Speed-Ratchet-Kit-2567-21H

Milwaukee has a new M12 FUEL cordless ratchet deal for the 2021 Black Friday shopping season.

This “special buy,” model 2567-21H, features Milwaukee’s faster brushless 3/8″ ratchet, plus a CP 2.0Ah battery, charger, and tool bag.

The typical year-round kit for this ratchet (2567-22) is regularly priced at $279. Compared to that kit, this holiday promo only comes with a single battery. However, this kit saves you $80 while M12 2.0Ah batteries typically sell for $65 each, which makes this promo a good value.

Milwaukee Tool launched their M12 FUEL cordless ratchets earlier this year, describing them as the fastest and most compact in the industry.

Features & Specs

  • 3/8″ drive
  • 35 ft-lbs max torque
  • 450 RPM max speed
  • 11.1″ length with battery
  • Weighs 2.1 lbs with battery

The bare tool (2567-20) is currently available for $179, which means you’re getting a full kit here with battery, charger, and tool bag, for just $20 more.

Price: $199

This seems like a good deal to me – what do you think? It also depends on whether a high-speed ratchet best serves your needs compared to Milwaukee’s other M12 FUEL brushless ratchet models.

ToolUp sent out an email today with Promo Code MIL60 – for $60 off $250 or more on Milwaukee

The fine print says that offer excludes sale items, heated apparel and promo or bundled items. It might still be worth a look.

I also got an email that featured an tool that I’ve never seen before. An electrode grinder based on the Milwaukee M12 platform

I believe this is a 3rd party product which fits the Milwaukee small rotary tool (Dremel equivalent). I haven’t seen this exact one before but I have seen similar adapters made by 3rd parties to fit various grinders. Also note the listing says “By TechSouth”, not “Milwaukee”. It seems they are selling the Milwaukee rotary tool with a 3rd party attachment installed on it.

You are correct – that’s why I said “based on the Milwaukee M12 platform”

Been wanting one of these ratchets, but I still can’t justify $200 for one.

There’s a promotion for Canadians too, albeit not nearly as attractive (not the high speed models either).

I REALLY don’t like the language Home Depot is using to explain it though. It says “FREE 2-PACK BATTERY – $169 VALUE” before I tell you, what do you think that means? I assume I buy the tool and get two batteries for free.

Instead, if you buy two M12 tools, you get one battery for free. 🤨

The application of Hanlon’s razor suggests that error could be inadvertent, but it feels like a trick when you go shopping for an M12 ratchet and get your hopes up. 😄

You’re not really saving $80 because the 2567-22 ($279) comes with (2) 2.0ah batteries vs this holiday kit with 1 ($199).

I really want to get this ratchet. But I can’t justify the price as the original brushed ratchet could be had for less than $80 regularly.

      I didn’t say you’re saving $80.

They’re leaving out a battery that retails for $65, and the $80 price difference is more than that.

If you saved $65 and they left out $65, that’s less of a deal. Here, you save more than the replacement value of the extra battery the regular kit has. So if you don’t want that extra battery, you save $80 but lose a battery, and if you want another battery, you still save money even if you end up buying another battery at full retail.

I’ve had a few of these and keep getting rid of them. The handle is so fat, it’s a very heavy and in-ergonomic tool.

As a lower priced and slimmer option, the Husky cordless 3/8” ratchet (w/built-in battery) has been a great performer and the battery lasts a very long time. It sells for between $59-89, and it matches the non-fuel Milwaukee ratchet for speed andf torque and actually offers higher torque rating for hand tightening I think (read a few forum posts that mentioned Milwaukee’s suggestion for using theirs for hand tightening.)

The Husky is back on sale for $59. The Husky is decent, but a lot of users prefer tools with removable batteries.

The Husky seems more designed for casual users and the Milwaukee more for regular use.

Perhaps so, but the Husky is much more comfortable in use. And I use MIlwaukee M12 tools and have bought at least 3-4 of those ratchets in tools deals and keep selling them off because the feel of them sucks. If it was a great feeling tool, I’d have one in a minute.

I do a lot of mechanic work between my vehicles, quads and dirt bikes and a lot of power tool restorations. I’ve probably charged up the Husky ratchet maybe once a month on average with the kind of use it gets in my rotation of when the need for a power ratchet comes up.

          For $59, it’s a no-brander great deal.

Personal preference and individual hand shape come into play a lot with M12 tools. I have the brushed model ratchet and love it. I like the profile for fitting into tighter spots. It is less cumbersome than 18v models with slide style battery packs. I use mine enough to switch batteries a couple times a week or sometimes a couple times a day. For my non-automotive job with lots of smaller bolts it works great and saves my wrists. One of the most borrowed tools by other guys in our shop too. So it’s just different strokes for different folks.
