The above-pictured Milwaukee drill/driver looks similar to their first generation 3/8″ drill/driver, but there is a huge difference between the two tools. This one is a hammer drill. That’s right, Milwaukee managed to cram the necessary hammer/vibratory mechanisms into their compact M12 cordless form factor!
Specifications:
- Delivers 275 in-lbs of torque
- 7-5/8″ length, 2.8 lbs weight
- 2-Speed Metal Gear Box: 0-22,500 BPM, 0-400 / 0-1,500 RPM
- 3/8″ Metal Single Sleeve Ratcheting Chuck
- On-Board Fuel Gauge
- Built-In LED Light
As with their cordless palm nailer, Milwaukee’s new hammer drill seems to be the first of its kind in the compact 12V market. Rockwell does offer a 12V rotary hammer, but (ignoring the apples to oranges comparison) Milwaukee’s hammer drill will likely offer better runtime.

I found this drill on another site and was highly impressed with the amount of tourque it was able to dispense. That was before I realized it was a hammer drill. Should be a good combination. Cant wait to get one of these in my toolbox!
