Home Depot Milwaukee Drill Impact and Free Battery Bundle

Home Depot has just kicked off their 2014 Milwaukee tool bundle promos. Buy certain bare M12 tools, M12 kits, or M18 kits, and get a free battery or select tool.

Some of the bundle deals are quite generous and include things like a free M18 4.0Ah battery pack or M18 Fuel impact driver. Other notable tool bundle freebies include the recent Fuel brushless grinder, Fuel brushless hammer drill, and Fuel brushless circular saw, but only if you buy a higher priced tool or combo kit.

That’s right – some of these bundles come with free Fuel brushless tools.

The M12 promos are decent, but only involve free compact or XC M12 batteries. Even a couple of bare tools are eligible for the free battery promo. If you have a multi-voltage charger that comes with newer M18 tool kits, there’s no need to buy a separate charger.

The 2494-22B (M12 non-Fuel) kit is back to 129, I just ordered that.

    Thanks!

How does that drill compare to a Dewalt 18v or 20v drill power-wise?

Not sure there is a fair comparison there. The Milwaukee is a 3/8″ chuck, I dont think DeWalt makes an 18/20V 3/8″ chuck drill.

Ive always wanted a small format drill instead of just the impact driver (I hate using hex shank bits to drill). I dont need uber-power from it, its basically just to drill holes for hanging pictures, unscrewing outlets/switches, etc.

I think the Fuel version of the drill/driver (which is 1/2″) could probably contend pretty well with any DeWalt 18/20V set.

They have also started their “tiered tool offer”. $50/$100/$150 off tool/battery with purchase of select combo kits.

I’m looking at options, but I’m considering the M18 Fuel Combo Kit for $369 with $150 off the High Torque Fuel Torue wrench priced at $219 (before discount). Looks like total would be $438 before tax. I’m checking out other options before I pull the trigger.

The link I posted above was for the $150 offers.

Here’s the “Step One” link for choosing the combo kit that determines the discount price ($50/$100/$150).

Any idea why the M12 3/8″ ratcheting tool/batt combo is $10 cheaper than the 1/4″ set? Thats also true for the bare tool..

Different part with higher cost due to less demand? Lower demand for the smaller ratchet? A small difference in components or demand can lead to a noticeable difference in pricing.

Why is the OMT not qualifying?!? Gah!

Also milwaukee needs to make a tire inflator! Ryobi already has one that works awesome. Make it a little smaller that has a longer duty cycle as well as a led flood work light they would have a home run. Ryobi and craftsman already have one and both have almost cult following of people who swear by them.

I’m hopeful that Milwaukee will come out with an 18 volt brushless pruning chainsaw and hedge clipper. Now that would be a home run! I also agree that the tire inflator would be an easy homerun!
