The Black Friday tool deals season is a great time to build up or upgrade a tool kit, and this year’s no different.
Home Depot tends to have the broadest selection of Milwaukee hand tool deals, and you might be able to find similar offers elsewhere.
Following are all of the Milwaukee hand tool deals at Home Depot stores right now. There are also a bunch of deals that look to be available online-only – I’ve included those at the end.

Also be sure to check back on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as there are usually some great doorbuster deals, flash sales, and special bundles.
25ft Compact Magnetic Tape Measure 2-Pack – $19.97
Rafter Square 2-Pack – $19.97
FastBack Utility Knife 3-Pack – $19.97
27-in-1 Ratcheting Screwdriver – $19.97
2pc Adjustable Pliers Set– $19.97

These 6 tools and sets are eligible for an added “buy more, save more” discount. Buy 3 or more tools and you save an extra $10, or buy 5 to save an extra $30. The extra savings are available in-store and online.

Here’s a closer look at the Milwaukee folding hex key sets.

There are a bunch of mechanics tools “special buys” right now, and presumably all season long.

56pc 3/8″ Mechanics Tool Set – $99

I bought the same mechanics tool set a few years back and have had nothing but great experiences so far.

25pc 1/4″ Mechanics Tool Set – $50
Milwaukee has other 1/4″ socket sets if you’re interested – the 50pc SAE and metric set is $100 online right now. But if you’re going to buy the 1/4″ set, there’s an online-only bundle where you also get a 3pc Packout case-compatible tray set for the same price.

7pc SAE Wrench Set – $50
7pc Metric Wrench Set – $50
I’m a big fan of these “grab and go” wrench sets. If you want both 7pc sets, Home Depot has an online-only bundle for $90.
3/8″ 10pc Deep Well SAE Socket Set – $25
3/8″ 10pc Deep Well Metric Socket Set – $25

4pc Hook and Pick Set – $15
My store had 4 types of Milwaukee safety glasses in the same tool display, all with different color lenses:
Clear Anti-Scratch Safety Glasses – $7.47
Gray Anti-Scratch Safety Glasses – $7.47
Yellow Anti-Scratch Safety Glasses – $7.47
Tinted Anti-Scratch Safety Glasses – $7.47

6pc Precision Screwdriver Set – $21 (I’m seeing a lower price online)
3pc Insulated Screwdriver Set – $17
Multi-Purpose Wire Stripper with Crimper – $17
Ratcheting Compact Multi-Bit Screwdriver – $13
There’s also an 8pc precision screwdriver set for $20 online. In lieu of the case, you get 2 more Phillips sizes.
Some of these electrical hand tools are priced lower in stores than online, although that might change as we get closer to Black Friday.
6-in-1 Combination Wire Stripper – $15 (online but supposedly in stores too)

Close Quarters Copper Tubing Cutter Set – $40
Smooth Jaw Pliers 2pc Set – $25
Adjustable Wrench 2pc Set – $25
There aren’t that many plumbing-specific hand tool deals, but some are better than none.

RedLithium USB Hard Hat Headlamp – $60
Hard Hat – $20

Lineman’s.

The 2 pc adjustable pliers sets are smooth jaw…just so no one buys sight unseen and is terribly disappointed.
Stuart
That is not true.
There are two different 2pc pliers set. The “buy more, save more” set that’s $20 has straight and grooves jaws. The other set, with the plumbing-specific tools, have smooth-jaws. I labeled them in the post as such.
See:
Dave P
Sorry–the store that I go to only had the smooth ones on display.
Stuart
At the stores I visited, the straight jaws are on the side of the big display, the smooth jaws are with the copper tubing cutters and adjustable wrenches.

Ace Hardware has a 10 piece Milwaukee screwdriver set. I like this set.

Any thoughts on the $20 27-1 Milwaukee ratcheting screw driver? I like that it has the ECX bits and I don’t have a dedicated ratcheting driver. I hate to say but also haven’t had a real need either…
I mostly use the Wera Kompact 7-1 driver so don’t really need the other. I also have separate ECX bits.
This is only for DIY home stuff and around my mom’s house.
Stuart
If you want to be talked into it, I’d say buy it and maybe keep it at your mom’s house so it’s there if you need to fix or adjust something and don’t want to bring tools with you. Tools like this are always good to have.
If you want to be talked out of it, I’d say look at the math. If you don’t need it and wouldn’t use it, you’re out $20. If you change your mind down the road, the list price is said to be $30. If you spend that much, you’re spending $20 on something you need, plus $10 extra. $20 loss on something you don’t need vs spending the same plus $10 extra on something you do. Wait until you need it.
If you’re still in the middle, think it over, a lot of these deals aren’t going anywhere. Check the inventory online if you want to be sure.

Thanks!!! Good advice

I don’t have that exact model (27-in-1) of Milwaukee ratcheting screwdriver (I have the earlier version that uses the longer 2” bits – both standard and stubby sizes), however unless I am mistaken, I have read numerous reviews that complain that the 27-in-1 model has 2x significant problems:
1) The retention of the bit-holder shaft into the handle is weak (the shaft often is pulled out of the handle when the tool is removed from a fastener – this likely depends on the type of fastener/drive-recess)
2) The spring clip + ball detent mechanism that retains the driver bits in the shaft is not robust (it spontaneously disassembles). If you lose the ball bearing then the tool becomes very annoying to use (no bit retention). I guess you could replace the extension with a generic one, but I don’t think you should have to do that on a $20+ screwdriver.

ECX are really for panel-breaker and receptacles like switches and outlet installs for me. And now that I’ve replaced all those in the home, I rarely reach for it. And prefer the fixed blade as my ratchet driver is too fat for some spaces.
I wish that someone would include PZ bits since I am doing more task installs of IKEA assemblies. Pozi drive bits are THE only bit to use on the IKEA, along with hex/allen bits.
But I will say, I’ve a MacTools ratcheting driver (hollow handle for chaotic bit storage) and nothing has surpassed it. Yet.

Picked up that 3 piece insulated screwdriver set a few months ago for $15, not on sale. I wonder how many other sale prices are worse than recent normal prices thanks to gougeflation.
Stuart
“I found it for less months ago” rarely helps anyone that needs to buy tools now. The same set is $20 or $21 at other authorized dealers.
$5 off is better than $3 off, but $3 off is better than paying full price.
BigTimeTommy
Oof removed my comment for noticing gougeflation? Tis the season to coddle Milwaukee and appease advertisers.
Stuart
No, your comments were sent to moderation because you blatantly violated the no-politics policy in another comment. Because of the giveaway, sifting through the moderation queue takes time.
You’ve been warned before about commenting rules and etiquette – multiple times. This isn’t the place for you to soapbox about politics.
So no, it’s not about “coddling advertisers,” as you always tend to be quick to cry about in ad hominem attacks, it’s about you repeatedly flouting the rules.

Well handled.
Rick
Good for you Stuart. Way to push back against the loudmouth haters.

I picked up the newer 16 ft wide blade magnetic tape measure and it has a very long stand out over the non wide blade. The 2 pack of 25 ft is a good deal, but if you don’t need to be precise over 16 ft, you’re just lugging extra weight around. Just my 2 cents.
