MK Morse, a company that makes some great metal-cutting blades, is offering free samples of their 811 bi-metal portable band saw blades.
These blades are said to be unlike any other portable band saw blade ever, with the most cuts per blade in the market. That’s a very bold claim, but it’s good to see they’re backing it up with some free samples.

The free blades are only available in one size – 44-7/8″ x 1/2″ x 0.020″, which should fit most portable band saws.
I was looking to see if there’s any mention as to the TPI count of the sample blade. Apparently, TPI is irrelevant as there’s only one tooth count. MK Morse says one Morse 811 blade replaces the need for blades from 8/12 through 18 TPI.
Quick clean cuts, more cuts per any blade in the market, and no need to change blades for different material sizes or types? No wonder they’re giving these 811 blades away! They probably figure that these blades are so good they’ll win over your business.
If you receive one before MK Morse sample supplies run out, please come back and let us know how you like it!

Stuart, I just filled out that form, but now this page requires a username and password to proceed.
Well go figure this might be too good to be true.
Stuart
That’s odd. I tried it just now, after your comment, and it went through perfectly.
Stan
Sincerely, I am not making this up or trolling as some might call this. Since I can’t post images here, I do have a link.
See this requires a sellers username and password and I have a link here as well to show what I am writing about.

Stuart
I didn’t think you were making it up.
No idea why you’re seeing that. Have you tried a different browser or computer?
Stan
I’ve been using open source Google Chrome for several years now and have yet to have any issues similar to this. Mozilla FireFox is my next alternative so I’ll try that and report on that later.
Theresa Hannen
Hello! I work here at M. K. Morse and yes, we are gaining a lot of business with our “See for yourself” approach!
The TPI is a patent pending 8/11 variable pitch. Thus the name Morse 811.
Stan – I have no idea how or why, but it’s taking you to our internal sales link. That is an error for sure. I am alerting our IT Department now. Sorry I don’t know how to fix it, but you can email Ryan R in Customer Service at [email protected] and he will have a sample sent to you. Tell him Theresa sent you!
Stuart
I use Chrome as well w/o issue. Maybe there’s a plugin or extension conflict?
Bruce
Chrome just devalued a bunch of older encryption certs. It’s designed to make Chrome users safer, the older certs are easier to hack and fake, but I’ve seen dozens of reports of certain websites not working well. It’s kind of a PITA and IMO a conflict of interest. Google would love to sign your newly required cert…

I just tried it on my iphone and got a server runtime error
John G.
Worked perfect! Thanks Stuart!
fred
Worked for me (I hope anyway – since it had an enjoinder about “while supplies last”)
Since I’m retired and have use of my home shop only (no big Marvel Band saw or Doall saw) – I now use a Milwaukee portable mounted on their auxiliary table:

As of today this is stock Fred. You will get your sample in probably a week. FYI!
(My Google Alerts told me we were being mentioned here so I wanted to check it out)
Best regards,
Theresa – An M. K. Morse employee
Stan
Wow, I honestly never expected a company representative would actually respond to my initial message.
Thank you very much Ms. Hannen. Nice to know companies or at least some read comments on this blog and likely others.
Theresa Hannen
Sure thing!
But I’m not happy about that runtime error you got on the recip promo. I sent word to the tech folks to sort it out.
Sorry Stan –
Mike47
Worked for me, no password, no username.

Just signed up for one, no issues. I have two bandsaws which take this blade, including the new Milwaukee Fuel bandsaw that is absolutely amazing. It’ll be interesting to try this multi-use blade on the cordless, since that has become my go-to bandsaw for different small jobs. Keeping one blade for most if not all the usage scenarios would be fantastic.
Phil
Also, Stuey, there is a promotion for a free reciprocating blade as well, for those that don’t have a bandsaw, and you can pick one from four different types.

Stan
I think I am receiving a sign of some sort that maybe I shouldn’t partake in anything MK Morse, as I tried that promotion and this time had a runtime error.
Well, I am not going to press my luck here that is for sure.
Theresa
Me again. Try this link,, as there should be a ‘free’ before the recip –

I signed up for both blades. Used firefox and had no problems. I have the Morse bandsaw blades sold at Harbor freight and Lenox from Lowes. It would be very nice to be able to use the same blade for all materials. Garage Journal member.
Thanx Stuart

So I signed up for both and they both came in! The blades look awesome MK Morse! Thanks so much and that recip blade is going to use this Saturday when I tear out my bulk head stairs!
Larson
Got my blade today, Thanks!

I want to get some, seem to be late for blades now. Is there a new post or something?
Jason
This link still seems to work http://promotions.mkmorse.com/Default?promo=811
Stuart
That’s the same link that’s in the post. Still looks to work just fine.
Samuel Thai
Well thank guys!
