Nebo Redline Flashlight Giveaway!

If you buy something through our links, ToolGuyd might earn an affiliate commission.

Nebo CSI Redline High Powered Flashlight

This Nebo Redline LED flashlight is a fantastic yet inexpensive light. It throws out an incredible amount of light, and is quite stylish without looking too much like a tactical flashlight. This is probably why the Redline has earned nearly 200 favorable reviews in just a few months.

As mentioned in my recent new gear preview, I picked up a Redline for myself, and I also like it a lot! Looking to share the love, we’ve decided to give away three Nebo Redline flashlights.

There will be 3 ways to enter and thus 3 ways to win:

  • Leave a comment in reply to this post about flashlights or other EDC gear.
  • “Like” ToolGuyd on Facebook and leave a comment or question somewhere on the wall.
  • Sign up for our new newsletter! We’re working on the first issue right now, and if it works out well, we’ll send out updates on a bi-monthly or monthly basis.

This giveaway will end the night of June 11th, 2011 and is open to anyone in the USA or Canada. 3 winners will be selected at random the following day.

I have recently embarked on the ultimate home improvement project….connecting my living room to the Seven-eleven down the street via an underground tunnel. I figure the added convenience of almost immediate access to an unlimited supply of taquitos, slurpees, and day old hot dogs would increase my homes value by at lease 2X’s. I never have to go outside to get the yummy goodness that calls to me almost daily. The problem is that digging by candle-light really sucks. My beloved wife recently picked me up a really nice coal gas lantern at an auction, but after several burns to my face and hands I have decided to stick to digging by candle-light. That is until I saw this here flashlight with all of its contained candle power. Since I have limited means at the moment (all my money has gone into the tunnel project), limited internet access ( my browser always goes to this website for some reason…the internets…some day I will figure out how to view your seedy bussom, but tools are good for now), and I’m allergic to sunlight, dogs, goldfish, my next door neighbor, and terribly afraid of people in general obtaining one of these flashlights would take an act of Congress (back when they did anything). Having one of these flashlights would make my tunnel digging go alot quicker without having to relight a candle periodically. I can almost smell those taquitos now…greasy Mexican rolls of deliciousness, and least I forget the slurpees! Ah! Well I’ve got to go dig some more, thanks for your consideration.

I own a Seven-Eleven, and my late-night cashier keeps telling me that he’s hearing these digging noises. I’ve been trying to keep watch outside, looking for suspicious earthen bulges, or even a cartoon rabbit that may have missed a left-turn at Albuquerque. However, I’ve been seriously hampered as none of the crappy flashlights I sell can throw a beam any further than the coin-op air compressor that hasn’t worked for three years but I never bothered to take down because sometimes people put money in it. I tried to rig up a searchlight a while ago by polishing an empty dinty moore can and making a carbon filament out of a hotdog left on the roller grill set to a cleaning cycle, but even all the neon sign transformers ganged together couldn’t get a stable arc across that thing. I don’t think there’s enough organic matter in a hotdog these days to actually leave behind carbon when they burn. Anyways, I’m terrified that a penniless tunneling redneck with multiple environmental allergies is going emerge right by the rack of beef jerky some day or hit one of my underground gasoline or slurpee tanks. A decent flashlight could make the difference between a wall of sticky, flaming cherry-and-gas flavored syrup rolling through a neighborhood or spotting a potential tunneling intruder before any damage can be done.

I have at least 10 really good flashlights. I have them in my vehicles and I carry at least 2 with me anytime I am in the outdoors. I am always looking for something that can take a beating, has valuable features, and is reasonably priced. This Nebo Flashlight appears to excel in all of these categories. I additionally like the compact size. Space and weight are a premium when you are going into the outdoors and carrying gear on your person. I look forward to purchasing, or winning one of these Nebo flashlights, so I can really put it to the test in the real world.

My daughter (She Who Trusts Too Much and forgets to lock her car) had her coat and her flashlight stolen from her car in Boulder two days ago. Unfortunately, she was leaving for Montana the next day (where she still needs a coat) and the idea of her on the road without a flashlight is not a comforting one. In relating the story to me (she is such an optimist) she said, “Mom, I really can’t feel too badly about it. Whoever took my coat and my flashlight left my laptop that was right under the coat. It must have been a homeless person who really needed the coat and the light.”

Hopefully it is a lesson learned that will trigger her ‘lock my door’ memory, and as Mom Who Worries, I sure would love to win this flashlight to replace the one she previously owned.

A light in the night….with apologies to Dr. Seuss

I really want a Redline light
    With an LED so bright
That it can vanquish any night
I really want a Redline light!

    A body that is anodized
Oh, how my Redline would be prized!
3 brightness modes to choose what’s right
I really want a Redline light!

    With aircraft grade aluminum
    Detractors would be truly mum
And it would be my pure delight
To own a Nebo Redline light!

With knurling that’s described as ‘smooth’
    My irritation it would sooth
And make it fit my hand just right
I really want a Redline light!

In SOS mode it does shine
The life it saves just could be mine
    All weatherproof and watertight
I really want a Redline light!

For emergencies it has a strobe
Perhaps not lighting up the globe
But still this light has such a beam
It might just make a monster scream!

A bezel I can simply twist
To change the light that’s in my fist
And should I find I need to fight?
I’d have my trusty Redline light!

To wrap it up I have to say
I hope a Redline comes my way.
    I wish I may, I wish I might,
    Win a Nebo Redline light!

Every bag that you carry should probably have a flashlight in it just in case. If I win this one I’ll likely give one of my old ones away to a friend who just today realized how sensible it was to carry a flashlight on him (we were walking through a particularly dark and we couldn’t tell which seats were empty let alone not trip over things until I pulled out my flashlight.)
