Craftsman will soon be releasing a new line of cordless lawn and garden tools that are compatible with their 19.2-volt C3 battery system. This new lineup will include a 22″ hedge trimmer, blower/sweeper, and string trimmer.

Craftsman C3 Cordless String Trimmer

This new trimmer features a 12″ cutting width, an adjustable head and shield to adjust the angle of cut for edging, an adjustable shaft for different user heights, and a multi-position handle for comfort. ($80)

Craftsman C3 Cordless Blower/Sweeper

At under 5 pounds and with a concentrated nozzle and long blower tube, this blower/sweeper should be able to handle most household jobs. ($70)

Craftsman C3 Cordless Hedge Trimmer

Craftsman’s new 22″ head trimmer features dual blade action, a 9/16″ cut capacity, ergonomic handle and trigger grip, and countoured front handle and guard. ($109)

Prices are approximate, and while full details have not yet been released, we’re assuming that they don’t include batteries or chargers.

4-Volt Cordless Pruner

In addition to the upcoming C3 tools, Craftsman just released a new cordless pruner. This pruner features hardened steel blades, a 1/2 inch cutting capacity, comfortable molded grip, easy-to-pull trigger, and can make up to 500 cuts with a single charge of its internal 4-volt lithium ion battery.

Lawn and garden tools are usually beyond the scope of ToolGuyd, but we figured these new tools were worth mentioning given to their compatibility with Craftsman’s C3 cordless power tools.

That hedge trimmer looked like it does a good job. I’m impressed with that. I imagine the 4v pruners would work well too.
As for the string trimmer, I prefer gas power.

The hedge trimmer looks like it works good, maybe a little bit long for being battery operated, willing to try it out, also would like to try the string trimmer, the edger would be nice if it had a wheel,I think this would make for a straighter, neater look when edge trimming along side walks, driveways, etc
