Over at HomeDepot.com, you can now find new Ridgid JobMax starter kits that include the tools you want for less money. Previously, getting the tool you wanted to start with meant having to buy the power handle & multi-tool starter kit for $100 and a separate tool head for $50 more.
These new kits offer the power handle with battery and charger, oscillating multi-tool attachment, and a free separate add-on tool head for $100 total.

Ridgid’s JobMax family of tools is their recent foray into the 12V max compact cordless tool market. The modular system features a power handle base that can be used with various interchangeable tool heads.
We recently reviewed the JobMax system and the available add-on tool heads, and were pretty satisfied with their performance. They perform reasonably well compared to competitors’ standalone tools, and are priced well for homeowners and DIYers.
$100 for the starter package and two tool heads – the cordless oscillating multi-tool and one tool head add-on of your choice, is a great deal. Seeing how well the JobMax system has been selling, these starter kits will likely sell VERY well in the upcoming holiday shopping season.
For myself and if gift shopping for others, I would opt for the kit that includes a free right angle impact driver head.

The listings say “online only” but I saw a slew of $100 starter kits over at the local Home Depot. I was in a bit of a rush and forget to confirm whether they were comparable to the online kits. I also noticed a new tool-head display, meaning that separate attachments should be available in-store.
I too took notice of the kit that includes two oscillating multimaster tool heads. This actually might come in handy for when you have a complex job requiring the use of two or more attachments. Swapping tool heads is a lot quicker than swapping grinding/sanding/cutting attachments.

These are perpetually OOS online since this deal was posted. All the local HD’s only stock the kit with ONE head. Will these ever be in stock, or is it just a big tease? Has anyone seen these new kits at their local store?

I noticed this as well after checking two local stores.
My only guess is that they’re being held back for Black Friday or a special in-store only promotion. “Online only” plus “out of stock online” usually means they’re out of stock, or hoarding stock for an upcoming promo.
When I first posted about the deal, all of the combos were listed as being in stock and available online only.
