One thing to keep in mind is that these are very bright at max output. Users should employ the lock-out mode when carrying this in-pocket to help prevent accidental activations.
I haven’t had a problem with this yet, but some holiday season complaints resulted in emails from Olight offering the opportunity for a refund or a free rubber shield. They say that 98% of the customers they contacted elected to keep their Warrior Mini flashlights.
To use the lockout feature, press and hold the side switch for 2 seconds. It’s now safe for pocket-carry, and can be unlocked for use in a similar manner.

– Do you have to cycle through all the brightness settings to get the one you want?
– Does that include the pointless and irritating strobe mode?
– Does the flashlight remember your last brightness setting?

Side button click from off turns it to the most recent brightness mode
Side button brief hold sets moonlight mode
Side button long hold from off sets lockout
Side button hold when on cycles through brightness
Tail half press gets medium
Tail full press gets bright
Either of these toggle on quick press and release or if you hold will turn off when released

Triple press the side button turns on the strobe mode. Or, you can enable the alternate tail cap behavior.

Short answers: No, No, Yes.
Long answers:
It has a memory and so it remembers the last setting via the side button. Last off is first on.
Side switch cycles between low, medium, and high.
Tail switch defaults to medium (soft press) and turbo/max brightness (hard press). Press and hold gives you momentary. There’s an optional second configuration you can switch to.
Double press the side switch for turbo. Press and hold for 1 second gives you moonlight mode, and 2 seconds enables lockout mode.
Triple press the side switch for strobe mode.

I have several Olights and they all remember their last brightness setting. Also, you do have to cycle, but just by holding onto the power button until it gets to the one you want. No double/triple clicking or anything like that. And the strobe isn’t included-not on mine at least.
I have always had an affinity for flashlights; once I bought my first Olight, the buck stopped there.

You do have to cycle, but I interpreted his question as asking whether he would have to cycle through all of the settings.
When you cycle, there’s low, medium, and high. Moonlight, turbo, and strobe models are not included, and so the desired brightness setting is usually only 2 button presses away, rather than 5.

I ordered one during the winter sale and it is ok. I wasn’t impressed with the free keychain light though. I got 2 and even though it was free I probably would have preferred getting a magnet or sticker instead. I can charge it in the morning and I’m lucky if it has any power by the end of the day.

Are you talking about the 1R2 EOS they gave out? I don’t have any problems with mine. It holds its charge for days/weeks. If that is the model you are referring to, you probably have a faulty one.

That’s the one. It won’t hold a charge for more than 12 hours.

that’s not the behavior mine has either. You should hit up customer service and see if you’ve got a dud. I use it to wander around the house without turning lights on and I don’t charge it for weeks.

It could be defective. I have one from a few months ago and I haven’t charged it since then. Turned it on just now it’s perfectly operational.
You could/should contact them about replacing it.

I contacted them and they said they’re sending a replacement. I wasn’t too worried about it because I figured there was a reason it was free. From the feedback you all are giving it sounds like I was missing out on a useful tool.

strobe mode is so useless until the night you have an accident and you break your leg and you need someone to find you. waving your light around for an hour might be difficult but golly if only there was a way to pierce the night in a way that might signal something is amiss.
No it’s not happened to me personally but my BIL came off his mountain bike hard and couldn’t get up and walk back. 4 hours later a flashing light light found him passed out and with a broken leg.
good thing that bike like had a stobe function that lasts for more than 4 hours, with enough brightness to be seen a ways away – downhill – in the woods.
No it wasn’t dark when he started.
Meanwhile interesting deal – what’s the other light offered here? Like a small area light is it also powered the same way with a rechargeable – removeable battery?
