I got one of these, and with what limited use I gave it, have been impressed. My old drill is a DeWalt 18v XRP model, and this one seems to equal it in power. While it is only a 2 speed instead of he DeWalt’s 3, but it has a ver useful magnetic bit holder that I like much better than the DW, plus it has a battery guage built into it. The DW goes from drive to drill and ack with one click, and doesn’t lose your clutch setting, while the PC has you just tighten the clutch all the way, plus one more ‘click’. Battery life of the PC is as good or better with the PC, but my DW is the XRP NiCad, and not a Lithium.
I thought in this day and age, I think it wise for any new tool purchased to be Lithium, so another 18v DW was not in the cards.
I went with the PC because of the solid feel, and good performance in a store demonstration. I do a lot of maintanence work but am not a pro tradesman, and the lower cost but basic nature of the tools appealed to me. Besides, it has a battery guage, which I soon realized is a great thing for lithium tools, as you ant tell the battery is getting low until about 10 seconds before it quits altogether. I didn’t see that on the DW or B&D they had available at the demo. They also had a matching impact driver there to demo, and I swear it would do anything the 20v DW would, as well, specs say 1450 inch pounds. Again, a basic single speed, but had a precise variable speed trigger with good control, and that nice little battery guage. I wound up ordering one through Amazon, as the store only had the one battery version, with standard charger like my drill has, and I wanted 3 batteries toal (one in each tool, one charging) and the fast charger like what comes with the 2 battery kit. I am pretty sure the PC driver will outperform my old 18v NiCad DW driver. I have a couple projects for spring, so as long as that still goes, we can run wo sets side by side.
Another factor is battery price. The DW 20v they were selling at the store, we’re close to double the PC 20v they had there.
I’ll get back to you this spring/summer how they are holding up, but so far initial build quality seems solid.

Drove 3 inch deck screws this past weekend with little effort.
