Power8 Cordless Workshop to be Refreshed with Lithium Ion Batteries

Buzz from Chris Elsworthy, designer of the Power8 Workshop, is that the cordless multi-tool workstation is currently being refreshed with Li-Ion PowerHandles and a new smart charger. The revised model is due to hit store shelves soon, and may include additional upgrades.

I wrote about the Power8’s design before, and while I don’t think it looks too good on paper, user reviews seem to be positive.

Sorry, I don’t know of any current dealers in the USA, let alone in Brazil. You might have better luck contacting the company.

The tools are fine but the batteries suck. I’ve two power8 stations and 5 batteries only 1 of which works.

The charger doesn’t charge uniformly and the battery become unbalanced and stop working.

Only fix is to jump start them I’ve found, but it’s not a good thing.

They last about 10-14 months so are usually out of warranty before they completely fail.

    Great idea rubbish batteries.
