Major retailers have kicked off their own version of October Prime Day 2023, with deals on some of your favorite tool brands.
Some of the today’s deals are quite good, presumably as retailers attempt to close some more sales before the start of the holiday shopping season.
Home Depot Tool Deals of the Day (10/10) – today’s select features tools from Milwaukee, Ryobi, Ridgid, with a few other tool brands sprinkled in.

A lot of the deals are repeats from other recent Home Depot deals of the day and promotions, but as usual it’s worth taking a quick scan through the list.
For example, last week’s deal featured an Empire 24″ True Blue box level, while today’s deal features the 48″ level. There’s also a new Dremel deal bundle, where you get the brand’s 12V brushless rotary tool plus an accessory set for $144.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days (10/10-10/11) – Amazon’s big October 2-day sales even is here, with savings on a broad range of tools and accessories.
Here are some of the best I’ve seen so far:
Dewalt 100pc Master Bit Set – $35
Bosch 12V Max Brushless FlexiClick 5-in-1 Drill Kit – $99
Streamlight Stylus Pro LED Penlight – $15.59
Fluke GFCI Socket Tester – $9.18
Dewalt 142pc Mechanics Tool Set – $100

Acme Tools – Save 15% on Select Orders $149+ – Acme’s new coupon offer saves you 15% on select orders $149 and up, with maximum savings of $150 per order. As usual, there are some brand and product exclusions, but the ACME15 coupon code applies to a huge selection.
Here’s your chance to save on tools from Dewalt, Milwaukee, Flex, Metabo HPT, Makita, and other popular cordless power tool brands. Many new releases are eligible for the discount.
It works on some promotional-priced items as well, such as the Dewalt DWS780 sliding miter saw, which comes out to $424.15 with free shipping. A couple of readers asked for a heads-up when the Bosch 1617EVSPK router combo went on sale. The Bosch router is now $169.15 after coupon, which is a very good price.
Acme gives you free ground shipping on orders $199 and up (with some exclusions such as on oversized or heavy equipment).
Ohio Power Tool – 15% off in-Stock Milwaukee Tools (8am 10/10 thru 5pm EST 10/11)
Tool Nut – 15% off in-Stock Milwaukee, $25 off $150+ Dewalt (thru 10/11)
(Acme has better pricing on a couple of Dewalt tools that I checked, but it’s worth checking Tool Nut just in case.)

It looks like a lot of dealers have the same sale, even Acme, as their promo seems to exclude preorders.

MaxTool and Factory Authorized Outlet have 15% of Milwaukee tools with code MPRIME15. For a while they had 2pks of the M18 HO 6.0 for $129, which came to $109.65 after coupon. Looks to be sold out, but not a bad idea to check throughout the day:

This was a great deal. I’m kicking myself for getting distracted while it was in my cart and then having it sell-out!
Lebowski
It’s back again!
James
Ahhh! I missed it AGAIN!!! Do they often sell-out then come back??
Stuart
I’m seeing it as back in-stock right now. I sent you an email – good luck!
James
I got it! Thank you!!
Stuart
You’re welcome, and I’m glad to hear that!

I received an emfrom Home Depot that os promoting their “up to 50% off”. I thought it would be a typical sale on things I don’t need, or it would only be 10% savings on things I would buy.
However, I am extremely surprised to see that theu have 55%, 53%, 40% on Milwaukee tools/accessories that I am interested in right now.
Todd
This seems like a good deal?

It’s a great price for what you get.
For the Holiday and Black Friday 2022 season, the promo “buy the combo at $399, get a free tool.”
If you want the combo kit and can use the battery, and can’t think of anything you might want to spend at least $50 more to get, buy it and keep an eye on the return period. If you find a deal you like better, you can do a “return rebuy.” Just don’t open the bonus battery clamshell packaging until you’re sure you want to keep it.
Todd
Thank you so much!
Stuart
You’re welcome!

Metabo HPT is running a free battery promotion when you buy a free tool.
You can buy the blower for under $50 and get a free battery through their rapid rebates page.

What a joke on the Ridgid special offerings, I could use an extra 6 Ah or pair of them, but the price mix of anything with a battery is just OFF. And the batteries on their own don’t make sense. A single 6 battery on special for 139. 2 for 189 but … oh, get 4 for 500? A single 4 battery on special for 109, 2 for 149, …
Lost interest with those kinds of pricing games.

The Bosch 12V Flexi-Click deal appears to be dead, but they have the grinder/cutoff tool for $79.

It is not a bad little unit for very confined spaces and light work, but I do find mine trying to trim something or grind something down gently ( I am not anywhere near trying to use it like my 18v or corded ones ) hitting the overheating or some other pressure limit rather quickly …. Requiring a very brief pause and re-engaging. I have only used it with the default blade. Handy for when you need it, but not quite as expected, compared to the drilling, impacting, jigsaw, oscillating, … units.
Brad
Yeah, I’m not expecting to cut through heavy bolts with it. I figure it’ll mostly come in handy for cutting hardware cloth and cattle panels in the garden, maybe smoothing some sharp points, stuff like that.

I had the DeWalt 20 V Max cut-off tool for a brief while, before it was stolen. I’m still waiting for a good deal on a replacement. It was head and shoulders more powerful than the Milwaukee M12 version, which I think was the first one to come out. If you have DeWalt batteries, I would consider it.
MM
I’ll second the recommendation for the Dewalt version if you are on that platform. It is, in fact, twice as powerful as the M12 per Torque Test Channel’s testing. It also has a greater depth of cut compared to the others because it has gears that offset the blade arbor from the motor shaft.

10/11, 9:30 MT, the DeWalt bit set is back to $75, at least for me.
