Ryobi 18V One+ Drill Impact and Battery Special Bundle

A couple of readers have asked about Ryobi holiday deals. While the better Ryobi deals are typically “Special Buys” this time of year, such as the new $59 impact driver kit, there are a couple of combo kit promos.

Interested in buying into the Ryobi 18V One+ lineup? The P898 drill/driver and impact driver kit, priced at $159, is currently part of a free tool or battery promo offer. There are a couple of choices for the free bonus product, such as a compact Li-ion battery, basic high capacity Li-ion battery, jigsaw, reciprocating saw, circular saw, and 6-port charger.

$159 for 3 tools and 2 batteries, or 2 tools and 3 batteries, is a pretty good deal.

Ryobi 18V Impact Driver Special Buy

Special buys, such as the holiday impact driver kit, make up much of the better deal offerings. These special buys usually have a catch, such as the absence of minor features, slightly lower specs, slower chargers, and so forth. But they offer similar or even comparable functionality at a lower price.

For instance, in previous years there was always a “special buy” bench grinder, and it looked to only differ from the regular model by leaving out the gooseneck worklight.

Other special buys this year include a (2) 4.0Ah battery pack bundle for $99, a $59 starter drill/driver kit, a $119 miter saw, and a $60 (2) compact battery bundle. There are a couple of price drops as well.

There’s also the 5-tool P887 combo, which comes with a circular saw, drill/driver, impact driver, and JobPlus power base with multi-tool attachment. The JobPlus handle is compatible with all Ridgid JobMax attachments.

Free tool options for the 5-tool combo include an angle grinder, right angle drill, sander, car charger, and a hand vac. But here’s the silly part. The P887 combo by itself is currently priced at $249, while the others are priced at $300. So… the “free” tools aren’t exactly free, unless Home Depot changes the prices around soon.

We have a loaner set of ryobi drill, impact driver, spray gun at the shop and they are decent performers. Very little performance decrease from my makita. Sure the makita has better ergos and batteries but for the price it will do 95% my makitas will. I’ve been impressed with the new ryobis.

Might be springing on the drill / driver / circular saw combo for my father for Christmas. He doesn’t do much anymore but after watching both his 15 year craftsman batteries die after 4 screws total it is time to upgrade, considering the batteries are $70+ for two of them. Just don’t know if a 12V system would be better or not.

I just bought my father in law the dewalt 20v set (drill+driver) and he loves it. That said I have a 12v and 18/20v set, and I keep the 18v set in the tool box and the 12v in my tool bag. The 12v set will do 90% of what I need to do, the other 10% I grab the 18v.

Agreed, I too have a mix, 18v Ryobi and M12 Milwaukee.
I am more than happy with both but I rarely use the 18v gear now.

There’s also a $20 off coupon at the following link. But you have to sign up and it is a one time use. Valid Nov. 1 to Dec 31. Might make a good deal with HD BlackFriday offerings.

I have a bunch of 18v Ryobi One+ tools and I’ve got no complaints so far. I even got a weed whacker, which works great with my small yard.

It would be nice if Ryobi did some bare tool deals for those of us who already have a bunch of batteries and chargers.
